I was worried that with the color pencils i used lots of the image would be lost to scanner hell. Glad it's still recognizable.

Practicing is the only way that your hand and brain will learn what they're doing together. It's perfectly okay to copy or eyeball things for quite a while until you feel more secure doing your own thing.
