Correct.
Kensai Imagawa had only been in Paragon city a few days before all this rukus had gone down. He had emerged here from the same shrine that transported his cousin, Motoyasu Yoshitomo, to this incredible time and place. He was on a mission to find his cousin of course; after all, the mighty Jade Dragon Empire wanted the third son of the Emperor back and had sent the Kensai to seek him out.
Paragon City, although bizzare and even a bit confusing to the mighty samurai kensai, Imagawa realized what his cousin had quickly learned: There was a great chance to gain honor and prestige in this new environment, and he was going to gain as much as both as he could in his mission.
Imagawa was still taking in all the new information of this time and place when the stuff hit the fan. In the place that was called "Blyde Square" by the locals he saw a massive machine like army attacking a small band of these so called "heroes". Outnumbered. Outgunned. That would have been painfully obvious even to a layperson. The Kensai pulled his Kitana and his Wakizashi, smiled a bit to himself, and ran at full speed towards the action. It was going to be an Honorable day indeed...
Demetrius Hobbes dreamed of laughing shadows wearing masks, of balls and operas with specters who lurked in every shadow and chuckled as he passed.
You are what some might call a hypocrite. One masked figure, dancing upon a pillar in the clouds high above, crackling with lightning and bathing in twilight. You seek revenge, but against whom? The very people you work for? Yourself? Your loved ones? Why do you not strike out at your enemies? Those who would discard you without a second though? Those who loved but now reject you? Act! Revenge is something worthy of appreciation.
Demetrius Hobbes dreamed of vast scorched wastelands, ruins of cities, where green mist dwelled and the land was circular, the permanent effect of an impact that had presumably happened not too long ago. Mutated abominations dwelled in the ashes of the past, lunging into the future with hatred and wrath. A sad, pale and shivering woman cried and screamed at him from the depths of a pit filled with death.
You are a monster! Your actions condemn you! You were supposed to be justice, truth, law! You are the opposite! You are wicked, deceptive, anarchy! You tear down the order of peace and replace it with war, fueling its fires with promises and responsibility! A day will come. A day when you will be surrounded by your own death and despair, and you will be as crushed as those you have destroyed. There will come soft rains.
Demetrius Hobbes dreamed of a strange world where there was no difference between horizon and sky. People wore the same clothes all the time, and mailboxes and garbage cans were omnipotent. A man wearing a trench coat with a ponytail stopped on the perfectly square sidewalk to talk to him.
Wow, where did you get the nifty helmet? Is that clothing you have to buy downtown? Hey wait, whats with the staff? Are you cheating? Are you the repo man in disguise? Get away from me! Wait, is your star sign Cancer? No? Rubidubidah, Ill never be able to swap out my personality points. Oops! Did I say that aloud? Hey wait, come back! I had the best intentions! Did you?
Did I say something wrong? :(
Commander Cynic awoke to the noise of his helmets internal alarm blaring like a klaxon. He noticed that his faceplate was set to opaque and there was a message in white bold letters pasted there.
Go to code 3@|2+|-| at 03/07/08, 365/12/4. Target |\/|1|<3 @||*|-|@ $13|2|2@ |<1|0 has been spotted physically in geographical location: Paragon City, Steel Canyon.

Authorization and Resources Granted: FULL.
Cynic blinked. Then grinned, yawned, cleared his face plate of the annoying message, and tried to go back to sleep.
Nice try. Itll take better than that to get me up in the morning. He muttered.
I WILL KICK.
YOUR [censored].
WITH ALL 4 HOOVES.
GET UP.
NOW.
Cynic cracked an eye open.
[censored] serious?
Surprise surprise captain oblivious. This is not a [censored] drill. We are beyond the [censored] glass window with the myrrh and crap. This is serious. Do it, do it now, or I will call the Twilight Men on you.
Cynic wiped his faceplate of everything, deactivated its tinting on the inside, and went to work.

In what could have been, what might have been, what might have been or has been, it was a nice day in Steel Canyon. Most of the villains had decided to take the day off because it was so nice. The sun was shining, with a few lazy white fluffy clouds out in the sky, The hellions were having a barbecue with some heroes even, while the fireman blew on his annoying whistle until somebody threw him over a balcony. *Annoying prat.* The outcasts helped to arrest J-Walkers and pull over cars that cut the broken red lights in an unexpected display of heroism. The Tsoo opened an almost totally completely legal public tattoo parlor with very fair and reasonable prices.
On the downside, Serge had tried to cook again. They never did find where that power line landed.
Then there was a Rikti invasion!
By the Traditionalist faction. They brought flowers. And gag mark 2 translators. And fish.
Then there was a Mayhem mission and everything went to hell. Only it wasnt a Mayhem mission as such, really more of a Mayhem invasion. All around the zone, robot drones came out of nowhere and started begging for spare change, or abducted street hot dog vendors. A few made surfboards out of Clockwork oscillators. They hit on every tree and tossed pennies off of the tallest buildings for the lulz.
Throughout the zone there was around 10 seconds of feedback coming from the drones.
This thing on? Oh, good. Atte-Wait, what are you all doing!?!? How do I turn this thing off? And you thimble brains better be doing it RIGHT next time!
The drones dropped what they were doing and began the offensive. Police drones malfunctioned and were swept away. The police department was stormed, as was Icon. The holes in the war walls for the trams exploded and collapsed from planted bombs. Barricades were established, and soon, the zone was filled to the nostrils with robotic drones that were either blocking off every entrance and exit of the zone, storming office buildings and banks, and just really taking control of the zone. Citizens were ignored except for when they tried to leave the zone, which resulted in being attacked. The sewer system wasnt left out, the entire Steel Canyon section being flooded by drones and cleansed of its normal inhabitants.
The drones started their movement from the edges of the zone, the invasion spreading until it reached the center of the zone.

Thread Synopsis
This is my first open RP, decided to give the thing a whirl. This is an invasion of Steel Canyon, and through it, most of Paragon city by unknown persons for unknown reasons. Both heroes and villains are welcomed, actions in both the Rogue Isles and from within Paragon are fine. Standard rules apply, that means no auto-ing, no god moding. And for the more destructive of people out there, *you know who you are* NO NUCLEAR WARHEADS OR WMDs.
This is both a pilot thread for myself and just a for the hell of it thread, just enjoy yourself if possible in the new environment.

[u]Blyde Square[u]
Positron and Valkyrie were both staring at a giant robot horde the likes of which the city had never seen since Brass Monday. The drones were swarming, randomly entering buildings or alleys, following a mysterious agenda. There seemed to be an invisible line around Positrons area though.
Remember, dont cross the aggro line too early. A protector drone told a squad of battle drones. When we get the order, a scape goat will be sent into his LoS to take the alpha, and then well charge in.
Raymond Valkyrie said cautiously, sword drawn and eyes darting as she tried to keep an eye on every drone surrounding them at once.
Hmm? Positron said, applying more wax to his helmet.
Uh we have a problem? Valkyrie said, winning the understatement of the year award.
Positron looked around, his eyes sweeping over the vast robot army surrounding the square. I dont see anything out of the ordinary. He announced.
Excuse me? What about the huge robot army?
You mean the clockwork again? All that crap is gre-
Nono, I mean all the battle drones with the advanced weaponry who are on our level and who outnumber us 5 to 1 on all sides?
Hmm. Nope, Im not seeing it here
A single assault drone suddenly charged the 2 heroes, crossing the invisible line the army of drones had, up until then, not crossed.
Hey wait, is that your drone army right there? Positron said, pointing at the assault bot as it entered his line of sight. Well, I guess it wouldnt hurt to take action. Cant have mastermind drones in Paragon now, can we?
Valkyrie face palmed. >.<

Throughout the rest of the zone, the drones were not gathered in such huge numbers. There were patrols of them every once in a while, and groups of them sometimes burst in or out of random buildings, but the main concentrations of them were at the zone exits, making sure nobody left or entered, and around Blyde Square.
