My thoughts on November 30.
I'm interested if you guys think my writings have been good or at least up to the standards you are looking for. I agree with this concept you are trying because it will make for better storytelling as well as better character development. The only thing I would say is that single stories as well as cooperative stories should be allowed for creativity purposes as well as the ability to write even when your partner may not be around. I am not on here as much as I would like (trying to take care of my dad, he's been in the hospital for 6 months and we finally have gotten him home)... so again, I'd be honored to contribute if you would have me... stories are to be written on the city of villians forums I take it?
Either forum is fine. Just because my posts were villain-side doesn't mean you shouldn't post hero-side.
Although villain-side would be convenient.
Also, Masonic, I believe Mr_Grey is still looking for a partner.

Speaking of, has anyone heard from Quietus? I've been bugging him about our next segment for a while now and haven't heard a peep from him.
Been really busy with work, testing for a liscence, family, girls, writing, and *Just* finished all the legal hubbub with my lawyer on Thursday. So I'm a little streached for free time. Need to replenish the creative juices, but I am working on it

Hey all.
My partner, Acanous, has been abducted by aliens. I am looking for a new partner, and/or another partner in the event that he is released from the grasp of our alien overlords.
Good work by everyone so far! I gotta get back and work with Mr. Grey.. been too busy as of late!
It's all good. It gave me some time to consider where to take my other projects.
Don't worry, though, I've still got the elements of the story on the forefront of my mind.

Well, I'm putting something together for Worlds Apart, so scooping this may very well be a good idea. I imagine quite a few people around here enjoy writing stories in pairs like this, so keep on flyin'.

Unfortunately, my partner has run afoul of Real Life Drama, and our story is currently on hiatus.
This means I'm free to work with somebody.
It's also causing me to consider the success of the Co-Op Story Thread. It doesn't seem to be turning out so well, does it?
Is it symptomatic of the fact that it was started just as a lot of our friends left, seemingly never to return? Do we really not play so well together?

Well. Some people just don't care. They have more important things to do, apparently, or blah blah blah. They probably did not get my "APATHY IS DEATH!!!" PMs.
Other people, like Krazy and Yosef, were abducted by aliens mid-story. Ironically, this was started because people had been abducted by aliens.
Finally, we lack publicity outside of this forum. Really, go anywhere and the general opinion is, "Lol RP."
You know, I started posting in the Roleplaying Forum right around the time I noticed everyone yelling about everyone else leaving.
Was it something I said?
If you ask me, the problem we have here is not necessarily a lack of RPers. It's the lack of writers. Lots of people want to play in character, but only a few of us want to paint the world around the characters.
Perhaps it is time to take the tales posted here (and the totally awesome one that is forthcoming from me and Para/Bwerp) and transform it into an open RP.
To Mr. Grey: Ask Zigg from Grumblethump fame to team up. That [censored] can write.

And nah Corsage, it's not you. Yesee, there was this person called Essex and her personal shadow stalking slave called Hallucinogin, this guy called Drarkitylordshadowstuffsomething, and a particularly odious and repugnant fellow called In Your Dreams. Apparently Sovs hated Essex and Essex hated the direction RP in the forums was going in, so she left and Hall left with her. Darkitysomeonewhowasheagain vanished with zero explanation. Don't know much about him. The guy called In Your Freems I didn't know much about either, but he seemed rather arrogent really. All his writing seemed condescending and stuff. He probaby did a lot more from the way people talk about him. He left due to real life hassles, I think.
And when you think about how small OUR little RP group is, losing four members is kinda a blow. I mean, there's the whitmoore group, but they seem to be in a different universe than us. Heck, I bet they don't even know this thread and its twin even exist.
But you bring up a very good point there Corsage. I myself have immense trouble trying to focus less on my characters and more on the story and background. I have to constantly remind myself that It's not all about THEM, it's about the story. What we lack is writers who are balanced, who don't specialize too much.
Thankfully, Grey went and posted an ad in the City Scoop. Perhaps we'll gain some more members soon.
No, I'm sure they know about us, Bwer-Paradigm, we're just not their flavor. Some of them do venture over to some of the RPs we throw up, though. I think we still lack something they prefer, unfortunately.
I tried advertising in Protector, but it seems they already had their "co-op" moments, so getting them to warm up to the idea would be difficult.

Right you are, Plan 9 from Outer Space. In the meantime, I have an idea. I know that every once in a while you do an RP spotlight article for the city scoop. Would it be possible to make the next one about the Coop Story Project? I'd think we'd have more success if we had a short article closer to the top that catches the eye more easily. Course, that's only a suggestion.
Hm... I say we give it a couple weeks before we try an article on the Co-Op project.
Also, I'd like to wait on working with Zigg until the Grumblethump story is done. I'd hate to be a distraction against that work of heart.
