Basically the best way I could put War Patriot to ya is Captain America crossed with Iron Man. So things like that really could work well. DOn't need to be holding the flag or anything unless that comes to mind for you. I'm allowing you creative control here.

little nudge for you here. I hope more than that is said in PM about what you like and didnt like cause open statements like that leave artists frustrated since you didnt say a thing about what you liked or didnt.
