Ok, so today was a holiday for most everyone in Korea. It's Aug 15th and it marks the day that Japan surrendered to allied forces. It also marks the day that Korea got its independence from Japan after 30+ years of colonial rule.

To mark the occasion, I thought I'd do something special.

I thought it was about time that...

Captain Corea was unmasked!

Wow, I like that Juggy! <^-^> In particular the korean writing all over him; its just got a very cool vibe to it!

Yeah, we celebrate it in Rhode Island too (the only state to do so!) It's called Victory Day now. Used to be Victory Over Japan Day but it got changed for political correctness. Poor VJ Day.

How is it politically incorrect tosay Victory over Japan?

I'm all for mending fences and such, but it was a WAR. :|

Yeah.. that's why they call it Independence Day instead of "Flip the Bird at England Day".

... which is sad, because these days the Brits would probably APPRECIATE someone flipping birdies instead of getting all politically correct. Much more honest.

The Royal Family, no so much, but the man in the street, yeah.

Of course, it helps if you smile when you do it.
