Saga of Shadow Blaze (a plot summary of sorts)

All I've written up til now, covers all my characters in chronological order. From Shadow Blaze to Project Reaver.

Saga of Shadow Blaze

Carrying on the Legacy
Sara Trenton was an ordinary woman engaged to one of Paragon City’s finest heroes, Shadow Magma. However the Rikti Invasion severely injured her fiancé. Having lost his entire right arm and suffering from fatal wounds, Shadow Magma etched a rune of blood on Sara’s neck. Sara’s body became engulfed purple flames and she eventually passed out from the pain. When she awoke to find her fiancé’s body was gone and she had black runes etched all over her neck and lower chin. She soon assumed her lover must have been taken by the Rikti and grew furious with rage. Her emotions and the runes awoke in her the power to create and control fire. She soon learned how to use this new found power to fly, heal wounds, and deliver some serious hurt. Wishing to follow in her fiancé’s legacy, she named herself Shadow Blaze and created a costume that would hide the runes on her neck. She has been fighting crime in Paragon City ever since.

The Demon of the Runes
When Shadow Blaze journeyed into the depths of Orangbega to investigate a Circle of Thorns plot, the runes on her neck resonated with the mystical energies in the ruins. Sara felt a surge of power followed swiftly by feeling of her heart being crushed. The last thing she remember before passing out from the pain is seeing claws forming on her hands and her skin darkening. She awoke to find over a 100 Circle mages slain before her, and her body covered completely in blood. She quickly realized that something was terribly wrong with the runes on her neck and sought out MAGI’s help. MAGI had kept records of the origin of Shadow Magma’s powers. The records said that Shadow Magma was the chosen protector of an ancient Mu seal that held an incredibly evil demon. Shadow Blaze was referred to a genius scientist and old friend of Shadow Magma’s who might be able to help her. Dr. William Harris and his wife Alice Harris constructed a suit that would constantly drain excess magical energies from the wearer’s body. This would allow Shadow Blaze to prevent the demon from possessing her again and causing more havoc. Dr. Harris called his invention the “Runic Energy Containment Suit”, but his wife Alice quickly shortened it to REC Suit.

The Unsealing of Kraticax
Shadow Blaze’s REC Suit had worked wonders for her at keeping the demon at bay, but the cost was she was quickly getting worn out from battle and her powers were less effective than they once were. She made the mistake of accepting a mission to stop the Praetorian version of Infernal from summoning an army of demons. Infernal, who lusts for more demons to bind to his armor and will, decided to take the demon inside of Shadow Blaze at all costs. He tore apart the REC suit and quickly began channeling a spell to break the seal. Halfway through the spell, Shadow Magma burst from out of nowhere and started fighting Infernal. As the seal weakened, the demon took possession once again of Shadow Blaze’s body and quickly threw Shadow Magma off Infernal, and insisted that Infernal continue. Infernal finished the spell and the once sealed demon immediately took possession of Infernal’s most powerful demon servant. The demon introduced himself as Kraticax and gave thanks to Infernal, who he immediately knocked out. Blaze and Magma valiantly fought the demon and just barely managed to destroy its body, but failed to destroy its soul as it escaped into the world. They have vowed to stop Kraticax’s plans at all cost.

Double Trouble
Not too long after Kraticax’s unsealing, Sara married Shadow Magma at the fountain plaza of Founder’s Falls. A few months later, Sara came home to find her husband in bed with another woman. In a jealous rage, Shadow Blaze blew up her the bed. As the dust settled, she saw a giant hulking creature on top of her husband, who was unharmed by the blast but heaving underneath the weight of the creature. Bright purple flash of light filled the room and the creature changed into an identical copy of Sara. She explained that she was thrown into this dimension from Praetorian Earth nearly a year ago and had been working as a hero in paragon city. She went on to explain how her fiancé had died when he gave her his nictus in his dying breaths and how excited she was that her fiancé was still alive and well in this dimension. Apparently this Praetorian Sara was working under the name Eternal Abyss and was a being called a warshade. Even several months after this incident, Shadow Blaze and Eternal Abyss still fight over Shadow Magma, who has somehow unwillingly became a polygamist.

Old Friends Stick Together
Dr. Will Harris and Alice Harris desperately wanted to help out Shadow Blaze and Shadow Magma. Will decide he was going to build himself a hi-tech power suit and was experimenting with using radioactive power as its power source, when an explosion occurred. The explosion destroyed the safety shield protecting his wife, Alice and she became showered with radiation. The radiation poisoning was killing her and she would have died if not for Shadow Blaze using the healing abilities of her fire powers to keep Alice alive. Eventually Alice’s body lived through the poisoning and her body returned to its normal appearance. She soon realized that she had acquired the power to emit radiation from her body and became the hero named Atomic Bomba. Dr. Will continued his work on his power suit and finished it, so that he could join his wife as a hero. Both owe Shadow Blaze much for what she has done for them and they plan to pay her back in her fight against Kraticax.

The Twin Demon Swords
Kraticax’s soul journeyed through the world until it came upon a strong Circle of Thorns mage to take possession of. Using his guise he managed to steal the twin swords that contained his demon siblings, Tarix and Sarix. Kraticax then spread false information about that the swords were stolen from the MAGI vault by Kraticax himself. Shadow Blaze and Shadow Magma quickly burst into action and found Kraticax’s lair and the swords but Kraticax was nowhere to be found. The moment Shadow Blaze picked up both swords; she became possessed by the combine power of both demons. She rampaged through the city and it seemed like no amount of heroes could stop her, until MAGI reluctantly gave Shadow Magma an ancient two-handed sword called the Purifier. Sealed within the sword was a fallen spirit of heaven whose job was to keep all evil out of heaven by eradicating it, however it became trapped in the human world and continued to eradicate evil until it was sealed. Using this sword, Shadow Magma shattered both the demon swords and the sword of the Purifier. The arcane energy within the swords exploded and sent all 3 spirits to different parts of the world. Kraticax had succeeded in his main goal, but failed Magma and Blaze.

Wandering Spirits
The first spirit to find a host was Sarix, Demoness of the Shadow Flame. She found very strong willed woman named Rebecca Morrison but could not manage to defeat and consume her soul. In desperation, Sarix made a “soul pact” with Rebecca to share both power and body. Two entirely different personalities were formed within her body and Sarix the Devourer was born. One of Sarix’s personality traits is she has insatiable hunger for souls, which bothers Rebecca’s conscience that it is left completely unchecked. Sarix’s needs quickly drew both souls into a life of crime as a villain and they have grown quite accustomed to it.
Tarix’s soul found itself a home in a young Texas rancher. The poor rancher’s soul was completely consumed when Tarix entered his body, however he didn’t give up without struggling. As Tarix ate away at young man’s soul, the body tumbled into a nearby barb-wire fence and became tangled. As the soul died, the last of its essence and memory became bound to the tangled barb-wire. Miraculously the barb-wire kept the Texan’s deviant nature and now prevents Tarix from ever leaving the body he stole. Not that any of this nonsense bothers Tarix and his goals. Tarix immediately sought out and reunited with his elder brother, Kraticax.
The final soul was the Purifier’s. It wandered the earth for quite a few years before it made its way back to Paragon City. It finally found its fateful host in Rebecca Morrison’s identical twin sister, Tabitha Morrison. Now when Rebecca merged with Sarix and began her rampage of crime, Tabitha thought it was her duty to “save” her sister from her new life. For a little over a year, Tabitha worked night and day to improve her archery skills and spent much of her family’s wealth developing and buying various devices and trick arrows. She finally labeled herself as the heroine named Lady Farsight and began hunting her sister. Her efforts were futile though, none of the arrows were able to make it past Sarix’s Shadow Flame power. This is when the Purifier’s soul found her and made a soul pact similar to the one Rebecca and Sarix made. With the Purifier’s divine light in her arrows, Lady Farsight can now cause harm to her mortal enemy, Sarix.

Kraticax’s Hatred
Shortly after regrouping with Tarix, Kraticax found out what his sister had done. He became furious, all of his plans regain his former power had been put on hold because of what Sarix did. Kraticax had planned to have Tarix and Sarix merge their power into him fully, but with Sarix now having a human soul permanently bound to her, his plan became impossible. He became even more upset to realize Tarix was permanently bound to his human host body, a problem that would handicap him if they were to merge into one being. Kraticax’s goals had now changed to breaking Tarix’s barb-wire seal on his body and doing everything in his power to tear Sarix’s soul from her new body, even if it kills her. Tarix is more than willing to follow through with any of Kraticax’s goals without question and shares the same disgust towards his sister.

The Blue Reaper Appears (Turbo-Ski’s Back Story)
As a child in the Soviet Union, Galina Turboski was part of a group of children who were fed a drug that was supposed to make them immune to radiation poisoning. Most of the children died and those that did survive were too few to justify use of the drug. The project was inevitably scrapped and the remaining children were sent to orphanages. When Galina turned 18 she finally for the first time in her life left Russia and moved to America. With the temperature change her body for some reason stopped producing its own body heat. Her body adapted to this problem by absorbing the heat from the air and objects around her, causing them to in return become cold. Galina over the next 3 years learned to hone this power and was soon able to create ice from the moisture in the air and freeze objects without even touching them. She eventually met the love of her life and married, but on their night of passion she accidentally stole all of her lover’s body heat all at once, killing him. Overcome with loss, she started to lash out at people intentionally hurting them and causing vandalism (such as freezing the city's aquarium). Eventually the police noticed she was at all the crime scenes and arrested her. She was thrown into the only prison that could handle Meta-Humans, the Paragon City Ziggurat prison. Her prison time only made her heart colder and crueler, and when Arachnos offered her a way to feed that cruelty she quickly took it. Now she roams the Rogue Isles in her snow ski gear (to help maintain her body heat) and a scythe made of ice making every place she visits a "Winter-Horrorland".
Turbo-Ski eventually joined up with Sarix in her rampage of crime. She could easily relate to both being cursed by one’s own power and both of their vampiric needs. They became very close friends and comrades, but Turbo-Ski had attracted Kraticax’s attention and was going to eventually suffer for it.

The Gold Reaver of Death
This nameless man was a master thief until he was hospitalized for a terminal illness. Crey Industries offered him an experimental cure, and he happily accepted. But Crey deceived him and performed numerous brutal experiments on him, shaping him into a perfect assassin. They managed to cure his illness with enhancements they added to him both biologic and technological. They then brainwashed him, and taught him how to kill effectively. Things were going well for Crey's new toy, until they sent him to kill the Nosferatu of the Council. During the confrontation, Nosferatu without knowing wiped out the brainwashing with his psychic attacks. The former-thief had completely lost all his memories of his previous life and felt no loyalty towards Crey anymore. He now works as a mercenary in the Rogue Isles under the name of the project that spawned him, Project Reaver.
Eventually, Reaver received a job from the Tsoo to kill Sarix, apparently Sarix had destroyed a shipment of drugs and weapons that were vital for a trade with the Family and they wanted revenge. Reaver proceeded to do the job as he normally did, but when he saw the face of Rebecca Morrison, he collapsed in pain. Several fragmented memories ran through his head of a past lover and he didn’t know who or why, but all that mattered was that this person that resembled Rebecca was more important to him than life itself. Acting on these feelings, he returned to the Tsoo that hired him and killed them all. He now follows Rebecca around as her personal bodyguard and hopes to one day understand why he cares so much for her. Together with Turbo-Ski they decided to name their team "Torment".

The Rebirth of Sarix Morrison
Kraticax and Tarix had spent many months preparing their plan to liberate their sister's soul. They convinced a large portion of the Circle of Thorns that it would be in their best interest to trap Sarix's soul in a giant soul crystal, promising her soul has a mighty power source for them. Once they had a crystal large enough, Kraticax had various circle mages spread the word that they had in possession a large crystal vault containing over million trapped souls from a lost civilization. This was one artifact that Kraticax knew Sarix couldn't resist seeking out and he was right. Sarix showed up within a few days with Project Reaver and began to lay waste to the mages. When Sarix came upon the crystal, Kraticax had the 800 mages who were in hiding begin the soul capture spell. The spell immbolized Sarix and left her helpless to resist. Project Reaver immediately attempted to aid her but was quickly engaged by both Tarix and Kraticax. While able to hold his own against both demons at once, he was too preoccupied to aid Sarix. The spell completed and Sarix soul was seal within the crystal. Unfortunately for Kraticax though, the soul pact was too strong to separate Rebecca's soul from Sarix's and it ended up getting sealed within the crystal as well. Within the crystal, the souls rapidly merged together into a single new soul in a few minutes of being sealed. When the merging completed, there was a massive excess of energy that shook the entire ruins and the crystal began to crack. Seconds later the crystal shatter and the new soul drifted back into Rebecca's body. The body began to change into a compromise of her former appearances and her personality was the same way. Sarix Morrison, as she now called herself, immediately began tearing apart all the circle mages. While the demon brothers were distracted, Reaver managed to jam his katana straight down on Kraticax's head and into his spine and follow up with punching off Tarix's jawbone. Without hesitation, Tarix grabbed the paralyzed Kraticax and teleport to safety.

Turbo-Ski's Worst Nightmare
Galina awoke in a cold sweat after having a terrifying nightmare. In the nightmare she saw her dead huspand burning alive in purple flames and calling for help, but when Galina tried to absorb the fire she caught fire herself and started to burn alive. She awoke in pain just as her dead husband started to laugh with glee. She couldn't help but think it was an omen of some kind, but she didn't dare tell Sarix or Reaver of it.
Meanwhile, Kraticax had decided that Turbo-Ski could work into his plans for Sarix and have her suffer in the process. With his Netherworld powers, Kraticax summon back Kevin Portman's soul (Galina's dead husband) and bound it to a Shadow Flame elemental. Kevin became bound to Kraticax's will and would die if the flames that made up his body were extinguished. However, any heat that Turbo-Ski absorbs from the Shadow Flames will eat away at her soul and eventually kill her. Knowing all this, he sent Kevin to attack his former lover. Turbo-Ski was completely paralyzed in both terror and longing and before Kevin could deliver the final blow she was saved by Sarix. Sarix not knowing any better, relentlessly attacked Kevin until Kraticax ordered him to retreat, afraid his plans might be ruined too soon.
Galina was in shock, and broke down in tears into Sarix's chest. Sarix's new personality retained the kind nature of Rebecca, and she felt responsible for Galina's suffering. Sarix lovingly promised to free Kevin's soul, but knew she was incapable of doing so with her own power. Despite this Sarix was determined to find a way.

To Make a Deal with an Angel
Lady Farsight, one of Sarix's mortal enemies, had figured out a way to destroy the demon half without harming her human half. It would require Sarix to take on her "True Form", which only surfaces when she has taken in an enormous amount of soul energy. To make that possible Tabitha had made several arrows that had with rich soul crystal shards on the tips, if Sarix were stab with enough she would be forced to transform to get rid of the excess soul energy. However, Sarix's allies would prove to be a problem. Project Reaver she can easily disable with a few EMP arrows, but Turbo-Ski and her resourceful ice crafting abilities would prove to be a major problem. Fortunately for Lady Farsight, she could free Kevin Portman's soul and decided to trade that for Turbo-Ski's betrayal.
Lady Farsight sent an anonymous letter to Turbo-Ski asking her to meet secretly at the Golden Giza in St. Martial if she wants her lover's soul to be free. Turbo-Ski was shocked to meet one of her best friend's rivals, but only hesitated for a moment when Lady Farsight offered up her trade. In exchange for freeing Kevin's soul, Turbo-Ski would have to lead Sarix to Dark Astoria's graveyard, where many dead souls gather, and attempt to kill her.

The Tormented Betrayal
Turbo-Ski led Sarix and Project Reaver to the graveyard and at the entrance to the crypt they were going to raid, Turbo-Ski made her attack. Project Reaver was first with Turbo-Ski using her Ice Gauntlet ability to amputate Reaver’s power arm with one thrust, followed by freezing Reaver in a block of ice. All this happened so fast that Sarix barely had time to react before she was defending her against Turbo-Ski’s ice scythe attacks. Sarix finally took an offensive against her former friend with a barrage of “Shadow Fireballs”, only to have them all blocked with ice barriers. After many attempts, Sarix closed the range gap and made a super strength blow to Turbo-Ski’s chest. Turbo-Ski was knocked back into the crypt wall only to have it collapse on top of her. Sarix began to check on Reaver’s condition, thinking she had killed the Blue Reaper. Dark blue frozen claws furiously smashed through the rubble and Turbo-Ski arose with a blood-drenched face in her “Dark Ice form”. They continued to clash but Sarix could not keep up with the Turbo-Ski’s strongest power. Sarix was reaching her limits and without realizing it started to rapidly absorb every wandering spirit within a mile of her.
This was the moment Lady Farsight had been waiting for, when Sarix could no longer control her intake of souls. From the shadows of Dark Astoria, Lady Farsight sent a barrage of soul-crystal tipped arrows into Sarix’s body. All the excess soul energy from the arrows sent Sarix over the edge and she couldn’t help but transform into her true form. She grew into a grotesque black scaled dragon with purple demonic runes all over her torso. From head to tail, she measured nearly 20 feet and on the tip of her tail burned a pure Shadow Flame. Turbo-Ski retreated back some from the massive amount of heat given off by the Sarix’s transformation. Lady Farsight summoned forth the spirit of the Purifier in her body and changed into her angelic battle form with her glaive made of purifying light. She began to relentlessly attack Sarix’s runes, causing her great pain and agony. Unknowingly to both Turbo-Ski and Farsight, the ice holding Reaver had melted with the heat from the ongoing battle and that the nanomachines inside his body quickly reattached his power arm. Reaver immediately slammed his power arm full force into Lady Farsight’s torso, sending her flying into the ground.
Reaver continued to keep Farsight busy, but Sarix had already turned her attention towards the main focus of her anger, Turbo-Ski. Turbo-Ski had to use all her strength to dodge the dragon’s attacks, before realized it she was cornered. As Sarix prepared massive breath of fire, an idea finally came to Turbo-Ski's mind. She quickly coated her feets for speed and made an ice scythe and dashed straight towards Sarix’s mouth. Just as she was about to breath out all the fire, Turbo-Ski dashed forward underneath the dragon’s mouth and slashed into her underbelly, making an escape in between the arms. She immediately head towards the tail and with a new scythe cut off the tip. Soul energy rapidly flowed out of the cut and it wasn’t long after that Sarix returned to normal. Turbo-Ski did not hesitate in fleeing with a now wounded Lady Farsight from the graveyard.

The Liberation of Kevin Portman
When Lady Farsight finally awoke from her wounds, she encountered a very angry and impatient Turbo-Ski. Immediately Turbo-Ski made it clear she was in control by shoving two blades of ice into Farsight’s thighs. She made it very clear that she did the job asked and that she was going to receive her payment if Farsight ever wanted to see the light of day again. Knowing she was defeated, Farsight agreed to fulfill her side of the bargain. Turbo-Ski removed her blades and bandaged her up.
Lady Farsight found Kraticax’s current lair and with Turbo-Ski’s help attacked it. Kraticax gladly sent Kevin against them, only to have Lady Farsight’s glaive dispel the curse in a single stab. Having done the job Farsight immediately left, with Turbo-Ski quickly following with her lover’s soul in tow. When they made it to safety, Kevin for the first time touched Galina’s soul and saw all the horrible things she had done. He was terrified of what his lover had become and fled in terror. Turbo-Ski had once again lost everyone she cared for.

Wow, alot went into that. Good stuff

Stuff like this takes the motivation that I lack and sadly... I have a terrible tendency to link my characters in a devious web of lies and hate and tend to not do stuff like this.

heh, yeah I haven't read through it for typos yet, I just kept pushing forward. Thing is it's still not completely up to date with everything I've already planned out in my head.

Keeping these things up to date with that crazy thing called a brain and grammar, I find, are the hardest parts of such a project.
