Ooh, spiky: Memoriam

My latest piece was a portrait of Memoriam. It turned out pretty sweet, if I may say so myself! Especially the face (and smirk), which is actually the player's own look.

Really cool drawing. You were right, his smirk is cool. But I really like his eyes. The cracks in his flesh make me cringe for some reason. I am probably the only one on that though.

Love what you did with this one Poison. The expression on his face is beautiful, the spines look really rough and authentic and the abs are really ... making me jealous ... but that's not the point ...

You know who came to my mind when I saw his face though ... Odo for Deep Space 9 ... the actor, without makeup and all.

I was always thinking of Alex Winter of Bill and Ted fame (you know, not Keanu Reeves)! But it really is Memoriam's player.
The cracks in the skin were his idea, too, so all credit goes to him.

You did an amazing job with that piece, his face has so much character and those spines look wonderful.

I haven't even replied to Poision yet since getting the final version of the piece, I have been too giggly excited to form proper sentences about it.

I am utterly thrilled with the picture, both the eyes and the smirk are so brilliantly captured and the cracks in the skin were so perfect. Poison managed to mesh a very superheroey look with very human qualities, that is he's a guy, not a chislled Jaw should be an actor guy, but a guy (albeit with damn fine abs).

You see what I mean about the not forming sentences so good.

Its really a total thrill to have a character I have spent so much time with and thought into, and indeed, in a way "become" a version of me, drawn up so brilliantly, Poison has my most sincere gratitude there, which when I get the power of sentences back I will no doubt say again, via e-mail.
