OK, I think the bulk of the inking is done. I'll probably play with that aspect more as time goes by but I think I am pretty close to trying my hand at coloring this.

Coloring presents me with some challenges. I think I could do a passable job just using the dodge and burn tools but I dont think that's how most comic artists color nowdays. I really have no idea how they do it. If anyone know of some tutorials etc or can just give me a heads up I would really appreciate it. Hell if you want to try your hand coloring it go right ahead

Gahh! Almost don't want to post this as it looks pretty crappy now. Hopefully things will start looking better with the shading.

How did you do that blue flame on his head? It looks almost rendered.
I'm guessing it's one of those effects that are rendered by Photoshop itself if you have the right plug-ins.

Exactly so. The flame is a filter called smoke that I applied then used the channel mixer to tweak the color on.
How could I miss a thread by my favorite Photoshop Ninja? The picture is looking AWESOME, Archlight. I am totally blown away by your insane progression. I can't believe you kick so much [censored] in Photoshop AND are a dam good artist to boot, I want your soul.

Color update!
Coming along ok. I definately like the lower body more than the upper. I think the highlighlights on the abs are too pronounced and seem odd looking. Ill revisit that area later after the rest is further along. Thanks for all your great comments!

Last update for a bit. I touched up the highlights on the abs and moved away from the black for a bit.

... I didn't realize how bad it initially was until I saw how good you could make it just now ) and the coloring job you did is excellent.
