I should be working on Micros
Protruding bits hehehe You're off to a good start and I've used the templates the same way. Print and draw or just layer draw in an art program Glad you're finding them useful.

erk... that looked better on my screen then it does on the web... oh well
Where did you get all these templates? I've been looking for some to help me get some of my character concepts down on print.
some of them I had to dig for and Djeanie gave me a bunch
Would it be possible to provide the links, or perhaps email them to me? My search-fu sucks, and so it would be wonderful to aquire some templates without aquiring a migraine headache from my poor search-fu. If you can I would very much aprreciate it. If you can't, well I don't want to be pushy, so I'll just have to find another way.

unfortunately, I am limited to using windows Paintbrush right now. I can not afford something like photoshop and I'm at work and not allowed to install software anyways.
here's my latest, my MA Scrapper Blue-. Once again, maybe NSFW.

Ah i was curious as to what you were using due to the grey halo around the outline caused by anti aliasing. Was wondering if what you had, had the ability to do layers and stuff.

nope... and I'm not even sure how to work with layers. But I'm working on a new method that may improve the look of my work a lot. I'll post more in the next two days.

Layers are pretty easy to use and you would totally love them. Imagine being able to put shading on one layer, highlights on another, details on a third, base costume on a fourth etc... then being able to go back and modify whichever one you wanted to.
I think that the current version of GIMP does layers and there is a windows version out there that i do believe is free. It does pretty much everything photoshop does too I believe.

yah, that'll be great when I get home =) I just can't install anythign here at work
well, in spite of my Angsty/Emo art meltdown last week, I have been giving it another try. I recently got a lot of "templates" or blanks from Djeanie and several other web sources.
My first attempts working with them were just futzing around in windows Paintbrush. I posted them in another thread but I'll repost here just for reference

Well, I wasn't totally unhappy withe results and I wondered what I could actually do with a real pencil. I printed out some of the templates and began drawing on them.
Note: all of these pieces my be NSFW due to protruding and sometimes exposed bits. If it's too much for these forums, mods let me know.
Here's my first one... Chibi Widow
