Using Fraps
Nothing you can do, really. Fraps (and video capturing in general) is a huge resource hog. If your computer can't take it, theres nothing software side that you can do. Sorry.
You can also get around it by using Zloth's demo editor to dump a bunch of frames from the scene, then piecing them together in Movie Maker or ImageReady. That completely bypasses using Fraps or anything similar.

Hmm. Thanks for the reply. Are there any free programs out there besides Microsoft Movie Maker 2 that lets you speed up an AVI file?
It's too bad you can't lower the resolution or anything to make it go faster. I tried using Gamecam but even with the CoH profile made and the icon in my system tray, I couldn't get the record option to work.

Oh, nice idea. I'll give that a try. Thank you!
Hi!
I've just started messing around with demo_record and capturing videos with Fraps, but I have run into a minor problem. Whenever I hit F9 while running the demo to start Fraps, everything slows waaaay down so it seems like the video is in slo-mo. Does anyone know how to avoid this?
If not, is there a Freeware way to speed it back up? Microsoft Movie Maker 2 has an effect that increases the speed, but the only option is to double it and is therefore inadequate.
Thanks for any assistance
