You can also check out deviantart.com for ideas. I know they have a category for tattoos and tribals that you can search on.

If your gonna get a Tattoo, A whole right sleeve at that too!, I'd start by finding pieces you already like of your heros. Than sort of collage them together.
I'm a huge Mignola/Hellboy fan.

Go with what's most personal to you and find a tattoo artist your comfortable with.

I have a couple tattoo ideas, but I just don't know if I'm brave enough to get them done, OR if I can find a good enough tattoo artist to actually do them. :-/

A good tattoo artist can work with you on this. If within 60 miles of Baltimore, go see Dave Reagan at saints and sinners, he's great. He also does amazing metallic looking stuff.

to all you very tallented artist out there.. i have a request, challenge, whatever u wanna call it. im looking for ideas(drawings) for a tattoo. it will go on my right arm, shoulder to elbow. i have 2 ideas. either a trible style with superhero symbols cleverly inserted in it. (superman, spiderman, batman, flash, x-men, fantastic 4) with the 1st 4 being the priority.
2nd idea is a full color mural of superhero nature, maybe with the symbols, maybe a city background, maybe a hero sillouette at the most. etc. im not to much into the actual heroes being in the tattoo in it, just cuz i dont want it to seem to cheesy, yet i want it creative. and havent seen anything i really like with the heroes in it. so i know people really wanna get paid for stuff like this, but im really just looking for ideas so if you wanna just send a rough sketch and if i like it and wanna pursure your idea we can talk about payment privately and work on a more finished piece. u can email me at polar22@iwon.com, make the SUBJECT: tattoo idea
