wow...you all definately have been in the wrong stores.... hell, I'm a guy and I would avoid stores with atmosphere's like that. indeed...avoided like they had the friggin plague!~

And its not a dislike for comics or gaming ,I read a few comics that friends have Recomended and enjoy them (I prefer Tradepaper backs as they fit on my shelf like my manga ) Its also a great way to find and be exposed to new artists .

Currently the TFOS game is fairly mixed gender wise and youngish and im greatly enjoying it lots of laughing and rp goofiness .

And snowlily has it dead on it is sorta zombieish and makes you feel a bit uneasy

I may not have ever been a gamer girl (lacking the proper anatomical equipment for such a role) but my wife is a gamer girl, and my closest friends are gamer girls. I know what they go through/have been through. Sometimes I think my wife would get hounded less in a singles bar than in a gaming store. At least the ones around here. I've been to a few that are better. (Like when I worked for WotC, they had good stores) but those are rarities, not the rule in my experience)

yes...well...the most diehard of gamerguys aren't exactly the most "socially-able" as it were, for the most part. that said, there are some good stores out there...so I would just say try to avoid over generalizing as much as possible, or at the very least, be willing to check out new ones cause ya just never know unless you walk through that door.

although...does kinda stink that you had some bad experiences in the past. :/ makes me kinda wish I hadnt sold my store, miss all the fine folks (guys and gals...actually was about 25% gals) that used to come by~
