Question about working with Flash
Try putting the music forward by each part. If that doesnt work, I dont know.
Early Disclaimer: I am by no means an expert in the workings of Flash.
I think it might depend on how you're exporting it - are you publishing it to the .swf file, or is there some other process that I can't think of at the moment? I've never had a problem like this before, but I -do- know that if you have problems, if you go to Macromedia's website, they have a -very- nice FAQ section that covers a lot of problems people have with Flash, and I'd assume other products.
That said, it might also have something to do with how the layers are set up. I'm not really sure, though... I only mucked around with it for 2-3 weeks as part of a college web multimedia course. :/
I've had timing issues with the sound before in Flash, too. What I experienced was that the actual sound file I had was simply too large and converting it to a lower-grade file, decreasing the file-size did the trick. It's strange that the pre-loader didn't work, though.
You're not super until you put on The Cape!

Sorry, it took me so long to reply back. No internet at the house and was off work for 2 days.
Well, I know that I can simply delete a few freames between each line to get it in synch, but that seems like a poor workaround for something that should have come out right anyway. I guess if I can't absolutly get it to work, I will do that.
I'll check the FAQ and print it out. Hopefully it isn't too large of a file.
I am using the song as an mp3. Don't really know what I could convert it to.
I exported it as a swf originally, but then went back and exported it as an avi and something else. The timing problem persisted no matter what format I did.
I'll try a few more things, but if anyone else has any suggestions, I would love to hear them.
*bump*
Still having problems. Tried with the music as other formats and that didn't help.
I'll be getting the internet at the house today, and can do some more indept search, but has anyone on here ran across this before that can shed some light on what it wrong?
Really, there is no where else I can think to post this, so I guess this is the best place.
I just started working with flash and I am coming across a problem. I am making a "karakoe" type thing, It has the music playing on a layer, and has 2 more layers for the text to change to match the music.
While I am editing it, when I hit enter to play the flash, everything is smooth. But when I export the movie and go to view the swf, the timing it now off. At first it's off by tenths of a second, but by the end of the song (about 1:25 long) it is off by like 2 seconds. And it kinda ruins the point of a karakoe type thing.
I put in a preloader thinking that was it, but it was not. Anyway, is there anyone here with experience in flash that might know what my problem is. Reply or you can send me a PM so we don't clutter this forum.
