Comic Convention 2006 sketches!

Just got home and scanned the sketch that David Nakayama was doing (for FREE. FREEEEE.) of our toons.

Wizard World: Boston 2005

I saw him there today, just finishing a sketch. Had I known that he was going to be there, I would have brought a print out of my Main character
going to shoot for tomorrow.

He was never around when I went past the booth... and I was usually doing something else during the times he was scheduled. Ah well.

I believe he will be there again on sunday, at the separate times, for an hour or so each.

Yeah, but I won't be. Done everything I needed to do already, and if I have to try fight my way through that hall again someone is gonna lose a kidney.

'sokay, I got lots of other cool sketches... just not of my character!

Last day of Comic-Con, got to see alot of things, hung out at the NCSoft booth for a bit and waited for David to show up. He was a really cool guy, he sat right down and got out his stuff, and went right to work.

We chatted it up a bit, and he is a really cool guy, wow'ed me by how good he was at drawing, he only used a few strokes of a pencil, they dove right in with the permanent marker.

My printer was running a bit low on ink, so some of the color's on the print out of my characters screenshot were a bit off, so he drew it as he saw it. Cant complain though, it is a really well made sketch.

For all the great fans who did come by the booth, I just wanted to say what a joy it was to chat with you. The CoH community is an amazingly gracious and friendly group of people, and it's always a treat to meet you guys in person.

Hey guys,

It was great to meet so many people at Comic Con. I had a blast running the CoH/CoV machines - we got to introduce the game to hundreds of new people. And a lot of you were extremely helpful in showing new players how to be a hero in Paragon (or a villain in the Rogue Isles). Thanks so much!

And it was a real treat having David around. We'll have to do it again.

Will Sir David be showing up to any east coast Cons? Some of us live a bit far from San Diego but would cut ourselves physically to have him sketch a character of ours.

Hee! I wanted to put a list of my online persona AKA's on my badge.

But then i realized that would take up most of the bagde, my shirt, and part of a pantleg.

But yeah definitely - I think if there are convention appearances by folks who habit the forums? Nametags with your alias would be cool!
