I didn't do any work on your piece this weekend, sorry to say.

The weather here was just too nice so I spent most of the weekend outside with the wife and our son. He's just now 8 months old and its very hard to pull myself away from him.

I haven't given up though just so you know.

Latest Progress

I really have to overcome the urge to perfect every little line at this point. Better to forge ahead and finish the work since it will never be to my satisfaction anyway.

Since I'm just getting back into the game I shouldn't get to discouraged, eh?

Still not happy with the gauntlets and the legs. Other than that I like what I see so far.

Do I have any volunteers for inking when I'm done?

Well I think you have TA down pretty good Chuck, I can see hoe the forearms and legs would give ya problems but it's looking like ya got it!

I've got my eye on a few other characters to practice on but I'll not name names just yet. With my current turnaround time approaching two weeks I think I'd rather just put up a finished product without torturing the subject for that length of time.

I apologize for taking so long. Its been so long since I've tried to draw for someone other than myself and between work, school, and family its tough to find the time. The good news is that, with my passion for art rekindled, I've decided to switch majors and pursue a degree in Computer Graphics Technology. Long have I yearned for a career that let me be creative and the time to pursue it is much overdue.

But its never too late, right?

Hey, it's looking great so far (though I have to ask... is he gonna be holding a lollipop too? Morbid curiosity...) So far it's a pretty bang up job on ol' TA... and I really kind of like the legs... don't know what your issue with them is.

I wouldn't sweat the time frame too much, quality work takes time... in our instant gratification society where (for reasons that are beyond me) every second seems to count for something, it's too easy to forget that good things are worth waiting for. That and trying to get some art done plus work, plus school, plus family, yer doing great! Hell, I've been having a hard time getting things out in a reasonable amount of time and all I have to worry about is just a minor soul sucking job and an internship (though I finally took the final leap and turned in my 2 weeks... I'll probably need that job back in a couple of months, but, oh for those few months, it will be heaven!)

I'm glad your following your newly rekindled passion. Good luck in that. It's hard finding that things that truly lights a fire under your [lower back-side commonly referred to as a donkey], but when you find it, you hold on to it!

Well...another weekend without progress.

I glanced at my work a few times this weekend trying to pick out the parts that need fixed and I think I'm ready to dive back in. I also created a character with TA's costume so I could have a "3-D model" to work from...I feel much more confident now that I have that.

Graver - Thanks for the encouraging words. Coming from someone of your artistic caliber they mean a lot to me.

I use the corean character creator wich work separately of the game for exactly that. You can also have the toon do emotes on it. It is kinda my virtual model.

By the way great work so far. I am really looking foward to seeing the finish product.

It seems everyone is doing TA right now. I wonder what he is going to do when everyone is finished?
