The Battle for Tokyo (Open RP)
Toshio grunted, glaring at the girl as he held his head again. "Bakana chibi jan...! Butsu koto'o suruna- zo!!" ((You're a stupid twerp. Stop hitting me!)) he snarled, his Yokohama accent getting the better of him momentarily. Getting to his feet, he shook his head a little, looking around at the others.
Cracking his knuckles, a frown deepened on his face.
"..Now might be a good time to be quiet." he muttered.
Red eyes had rested on the group. None of them looked friendly.

The Thornsmen looked up. They would not be interrupted in their conversation.
Not with the interruptees leaving alive, anyway.
The Daemons and the Magi turned to the eyes, readying to blast them.
As things grew quieter, Allen nodded to Alex.
"Not in my bar." the sullen man grumbled at the onlookers. If they were really fool enough to try something in here, they were either extremely stupid or extrememly poerful.
The Mortician's defenses were nothing to be sneezed at. It was said that Merlin himself had put them into place, and that his Awful Will still held strong control even from beyond the grave. Being dead didn't stop you from being a major player in the Side...

The contigent of eyes seemed to coagulate together into one huge, red eye, wreathed in flame for a split second. It blinked...and then was gone.
"....[censored]." Toshio reached for another drink.

"Damn it, Al, why do the people you drag in here always go for the good stuff?" Alex snorted, leering at Toshio for a moment.
"Put it on my tab." Allen waved him off, again lost in thought.
Sea definetely had a point. If they closed more portals in Tokyo, it would certainly draw Zan out eventually. Sure, he'd send more and more powerful servants first, but he would inevitable have to come himself in some from or fashion.
Then what...?
Did they have anything to take on someone with appartently all thje power of a Transient Being? Someone that WAS perhaps a Transient?
Then again, this oculd be an advantage to them. Transient Beings always had some sort of weakness, or something they couldn't do because it went againt the nature of their existence.
The only question was...if Zan was one, WHAT was the a Transient of...?
This only compounded with the large chance that if Zan was defeated on Earth, he'd retreat to his own realm and start another attack. Or he would expand his realm to encompass the planet. And if he really controlled everything in there...well, things could get complicated REAL fast...
"We need more info." Allen decided, "As well as a counter-illusionist. I know where to find the second, but not the first. So let's start asking questions."
He paid the bill in full and started heading out into the semi-existent alley again. One of the best places to get good info on REALLY powerful beings had always been the Street of the Gods...

"I'm starting to think I shouldn't have gotten out of bed today," Jay said to himself as he followed Allen out of the bar.
His gaze shifted over to the multitude of forms and creatures walking through the streets and his systems automatically started drawing threat diagrams. Jay irritably switched this function off when almost every visible thing was labeled orange for 'Potential Hostile'.
"Gonna be a long day."
Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.
Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.
NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.
"Now, uh, why exactly do we need a counter-illusionist?" Sae asked.
"Eh, my bad on the expression." Allen scratched his head, "I forgot you guys don't know. Dang, this is a tough one to explain...then again, you've taken everything else in good stride so far. Still, I'm not sure if I should tell you..."
Now there was a REAL problem. he couldn't just blurt out that all they thought was real was just an illusion generated by their senses to mask true reality because it was too much for them to bear...could he...?
Then again, there was a chance they already knew. A few humans had voiced that opinion - and more often than not, they'd promptly been declared crackpots and shipped off to the nearest asylum.
Now Allen really wished he had one of his telepathic friends here...

"Hey, hey, buddy, when it comes to drinking, I'm a professional." Toshio grinned at Alex, draining his glass. When Allen got up to go, the ex-Tsoo stood to follow, sauntering after.
"The way I see it..." he said, glancing around, "Is we don't have a lot of time to decide, either. The demons seemed to be gathering forces more than usual, so it looks like we might have a real calculated strike on our hands if we delay much longer."

"They smashed the Akihabara base like a bug...I don't think we have time to dilly dally," Ryuji added.
"I hope you know what you're doing, Allen," Sae said.
((I'm afraid I have to bow out of this one, but maybe only temporarily. Time is getting short for me these days and I'm in too many RP threads right now. Though I may be back later on if I get the time again. ))
"So do I." Allen sighed, "And you're right. Zanny's not going to stop just because we're after him here."
He turned to the others with a stern look in his eyes, "Head back to Tokyo. Thell the train Allen Fang vouches for you and it shouldn't give you any lip. As for me, I've got some digging to do. I hope our paths will cross again soon..."
With that, he hailed a posessed Harley Davidson that was carrying a sign marking it as hirable transporation.
"Take care of yourselves." Allen said after he and the vehicle had agreed on the price, "I don't want to come back and see everything in ruins now."
And the strange Harley roared off, carrying its even stranger passenger off into the perpetual night. Neither the traffic nor the crowds seemed to mind. It was all business as usual...in the Side...

(OOC: ;_; we need another person, then!)
((OOC: Hehehe. Signed, Sealed, Delivered.))
A sudden commotion was heard outside.
A feral snarling, and the sound of gunshots.
A vicious cackling of a young girl.
The sickening thump of disembodied flesh hitting the ground.
"By the authority of the Dread Trio, you have been placed under arrest." a calm male voice sounded through an open window. "Serve your sentence."
A gunshot accompanied by a blinding flash of light.
Silence.

(OOC: I was talking about another actual player...Soviet's going to be gone for a week, DeviousMe is dropping out, and Shinji_Hinomu is caught up with playing Chromehounds...apparently. But I guess it could work, I'm working most of this weekend tho. Comic-Con and all that)
((Gah, I'm so stupid. <_<
I'll actually be out most of the weekend too. Though...
Hrm. I may be able to rustle up another player for you.))

"Uh oh..." The Mage muttered.
He might have actually been afraid.
Running to his fellow Circle, who had gone the other way, he screamed "DREAD TRIO! DREAD TRIO!" repeatedly until they stopped.
And turned.
And readied to defend their lives.
"Dead Trio?" Sae asked, remotely curious.
Seeing the mage actually look AFRAID, she knew using her power would be necessary.
"Heavenly Garment," she said, waving her hand over the broach on her chest. Her entire body glowed, and she was once again wearing the strange magical girl-like garment she had been wearing before.
(OOC: I wanted to have a little transformation scene but then I realized that'd be stupid. And for the record she's more of a shounen-esque magical girl than a sailor moon-esque magical girl. Meaning explosions, and big swords You've prolly figured that out already tho)
Toshio merely looked up at the door as it was pushed in.
A man stepped through, his eyes cold and clear. A blood-red jacket rested on his shoulders and trailed to the floor, the ends of his snow-white hair brushing against the high collar. He was just twirling a pistol into his pocket.
Following after were a pair of girls, one lanky and thin with jagged, predatorial teeth and one short and sprightly with black, fuzzy canine ears and a black-and-white shaggy tail.
"Pherelith! Gimme!!" the dog-girl wailed. "You always hog the candy and you SAID I could have some if we managed to -"
"Hands off, mutt!" Pherelith snarled. "These are my Tootsie rolls! Down! Stay! Heel! Emry, tell her to step off, will ya?"
"They aren't good for you, Rosalind." Emry intoned, taking a seat at a table. He nodded to Alex, who seemed to know him as well, and accepted a tall glass of thick red liquid.
"Awh, jeez." Rosie pouted, sitting as well. "It ain't fair, I tell ya."
"Ha-ha." Pherelith jeered, munching on some of the candy. The next minute, the sound of tearing could be heard as her left arm fell to the ground with a thump. The hand twitched and tried to push itself up as the zombie-girl glanced down at it. Feeling the stares of, Toshio at the very least, she glanced up at the group.
"What? The duct tape only holds for so damn long."
Emry didn't pay attention, though. His eyes were cooly resting upon the Circle mages. The tree spirit made not a move...but just....coldly regarded them.
Rosalind noticed them the next moment. Ears perking as she looked between Emry and the mages, she waved her hand dismissively with a grin. "Oh! Don't worry, don't worry. We aren't here for you. Carry on."

The Mage's robes expanded, as though he was taking a deep breath.
The other Thornsmen wasted no time in ripping a portal hole back to their base and zooming through it, wanting to vacate as fast as possible.
ZeRO (OOC: Yes the lowercase e is intentional. I finally found an acronym that would be appropriate: Zeus Ra Odin.) pointed a gatling gun at the trio.
"Identify yourselves," she announced.
(OOC: Off to comic-con, be back in 12-13 hrs)
"Calm yourself." Emry's voice cut through the awkward silence towards the Archmage. "We got what we came for. The Side isn't under the same restrictions as the human realm. There's no reason for us to arrest you."
Sipping the dark red liquid, his matching red eyes never left the mage's form.
"Unless you're running."
Pherelith picked up her arm and shrugged. "We ain't got time anyway. There's [censored] going down in Tokyo that we've been asked to look into."
Rosalind nodded, perking again. "I can't wait! I wanna go, I've never been to Japan!! I learned the language on the West Coast and I really wanna practice but I've never been so I've never had the opportunity to-"
"...Quiet." Emry said, the pistol lazily aimed at the were-human's forehead. His gaze turned to ZeRO the next moment, emotionless and cold.
"...What authority do you have over us? None here. We'll identify ourselves if the need arises." he murmured.
Phe chuckled crazily, her dilated eyes still looking upon the Archmage. "They sure as hell know who we are."

((*rubs hands together* ...I may be able to coax my fiance in here to play Emry for a little while. He'd only be a temp player, but he'd be around while some of the others are out. :P Mwahahaha.))
Toshio glanced at the Circle Mage. He still needed the mage's help to get back and restore Natsuki's soul. He glanced at the 'Dread Trio.' The dog girl was looking hungrily at the mage, seemingly licking her chops as she observed him. The man seemed calm but dangerous, and the one with detachable limbs was frighteningly thin.
Standing, the demonic man moved over to the Circle mage's table, flapping his wings once, sharply, to air them out for a moment. He didn't know who these people were, but he wouldn't let them stand between him and his goal.

ZeRO did not flinch.
"Funny, I thought sufficient weaponry WAS the authority around here, at least that was what I was lead to believe," she said.
"ZeRO..." Chihaya said, worried.
"Unless I receive orders to the contrary, I will press this point: Identify Yourselves. From the being called Allen, we received advice to be on our guard here at all times. As my programming identifies him as a 'leader' based on the reactions of those around him and my own human judgement, I am bound to obey his 'advice' as an order. Since we have never seen you before, and the mage, who has proven to be a reliable gauge of enemy threat levels, is terrified of you, my judgement remains. Your refusal to even give your identity unless the need arises is moot. The need has arisen, and if you still refuse, I am prepared to protect my superior and peers from you."
((Gah! Chromehounds is just too fun! I cant stop playing it, I've been tryin to get shinji to lvl 30 this weekend since its double xp, but ive been playing from 9am till now, and ive only gotten him from lvl 21 to 22, so i say [censored] it, its already bad enough that i got this game back in april and im only lvl 21, anyway im back to rping untill i get back on chromehounds))
Jay had listened intently throughout the whole explanation and was feeling a little out of his depth. He had signed on to blow up some demons, look good, and then get the Paragon Metahuman Agency to approve his liscense. He hadn't come to Japan to get caught up in some pan-dimensional power struggle that may or may not result in the earth's destruction. Well, at least he had made notes, the way Chihaya rambled from point to point had made it a little difficult to keep up.
"So now we're looking for this ultra-powerful demon, right?" Jay asked. "And our only hope of finding him is that were-wolf there?"
