How do I Role Play?
Role Playing is when you act like your character. Virtue is a popular server for RP'ers.
An example of role-playing would be, let's say your character is a medeival knight. Instead of talking like everyone else, 'R u ready to start?' you would say, "Art thou ready to begin?"
Or if you are playing a villain, when you threaten people in PvP, instead of saying 'Keep it up and I'll get my Brute and pwn you!' you would say, "I suggest you stop now, lest my more powerful allies should come to destroy you."
Hope those are good examples. RP is all in how you talk in the game. You still play the same. Also, when speaking OOC (out of character) type with double parentheses, like this ((come on, get this mission already)).
Hope that helped.

My medieval char, Morgant, says "Cease thy beatings upon me, vile cur, or else I shalt journey forth to yonder larder and openeth a tin of whoopass upon thy sorry rectum!" and "Dost nay tempt me to let thine [censored] taste sheer pwnage!".
Oh well. If you're on Virtue, as a hero, look up Sir Morgant. As a villain, look up Duke Crowley. I'll be happy to run some missions with you.
best way is to just imagine how your character would act and speak and act as they would.
frankly it's a bit easier for superheroes set in the modern day since the setting is contemporary and you don't need to stretch your grasp of different mindsets as far.
think like a comic book writer
Think up a hero, create a cool history for him, and figure out a personality. Then whenever you say something, try and make it sound like he's the one saying it. Basically, pretend like you are your hero.
Be as generic or creative as you want. I don't roleplay, but I've teamed with a lot of people that do. I've seen everything from the generic hero spouting out bad puns during combat to a guy who roleplayed a super-intelligent cow(kept talking about grazing) to a troll turned good spouting out puns during combat. Its important to realize when you're just pissing off the team, though; while a good roleplayer is a hilarious and enjoyable addition to any team, if you take it too far it can get kind of annoying. Try and avoid saying little catch phrases each time you use a power, that tends to get old fast.
Im trying to get into role playing with a new character...I just really dont know how. If any of you high level role players wanted to make an alt and teach a noob to role play let me know cause it sounds cool.
