Just listened to the Abomination one. It's pretty awesome 
It tricked me tho! I thought at first it was a story from the point of view of a necro mastermind's minion, but it turned out to be about a brute (There was even a SMASH reference )... not sure what classes.... I'd guess SS/INV. But yeah, I'm definately looking forward to that story being continued.
Downloading the 1st story now as an mp3...don't own an IPod, and with a Sony PSP, I don't actually NEED one.... 
In any case, this is a pretty neat idea, and I'm wondering why no-one else thought of it sooner, 'least of all, me! 
Why don't you do some sort of contest where the winners get to appear in another audio-story or something?

Short reminder: I still need recorded intros for the show. So if you want to be on the air, here's what you need to do:
Record yourself in decent quality saying, "Hi! This is (whoever you are), and you're listening to City of Stories: Audio Fan Fiction from City of Heroes and City of Villains. And now ... Mint Condition." Or something to that effect. You can get creative, do it in character, whatever.
The only "MUSTS" are that it must be good quality and it must get all of the above points across.
Format can be either mp3 or Wav (so if you want, you can just use windows sound recorder). When you're ready to send it, please use yousendit.com and enter cityofstories:-at-:cox.net as the email so that my inbox doesn't explode.
I do final mix downs on Friday night, so if you want to be considered for Issue 3, you need to have the file to me by Friday noon, EST.

Hey everyone! Issue 7 is better late than never! Post production was a little rushed, so if there are any screw-ups, I'm sorry in advance. First of all, we've got an excellent little story from PlasmaStream, which is actually the introduction to her longer work "Impact Wave". I really liked this one for its creative use of second person. Following that, we have a long but very useful feature segment: the CoX Fan Fiction Writers Clinic. Basically over the past months I've read a TON of fiction that is very good, but needs just a touch to make it great. That's understandable, given that few of you are professional writers and it may have been a while since High School creative writing classes. Anyway, this segment gives you a good place to start and can also be a good refresher for even some of us with an old hand at writing. I hope you get something out of it.
