I'm thinkin maybe a scrapper type of AT if your into up close combat ... Katana is a good quick set as is Martial Arts, for secondary maybe Regen or Superior Reflexes. i have a KAt/regenner <all dusty now havent played him a while> He leveled fairly quickly .... If u are into distance based combat a Blaster is good for that.. my friend has an Ice/ Ice blaster .. lots o damage and also good control she leveled fairly quick. Energy blasters also are good damagers BFG if u will, and have alot of knockback to keep your prey at length..
there are a few guides in here for quick leveling tips i'd check those out aswell will help ya to know best places to hunt/mish to level as quick as possible..
Ripping thru the first 14 levels can be done w/ most of the AT's fairly easily but the high damage dealers will be easier IMHO to do that with .. if u go blaster remember u have no real defense cept range so keep em at range if u can.

You could potentially get 14 levels in a day if you stick to the high xp/hour activities. Stick to a sewer team in AP from about lvl 2-8 and then head to the Hollows. Join a team about +2 and do the Frostfire mish about as many times as you can. You will hit 14 4-5 hours.
That being said--this is the worst possible way to enjoy game content and learn your powerset. But if your goal is to simply get to fourteen because you are on a trial and want to experience the game post travel powers, this will get you there fast.
In terms of archetype to use, if you use the above formula, it doesn't really matter. My fastest leveling character 1-14 was my empath because every awful PuG is looking for a healer (as well as some very good ones).

I got my Corrupter on CoV to level 17 in like 12 hours. Simply team with nothing less then 8 man groups, that are always 2-3 levels higher then you. Thats what I did, its called power leveling or at least thats what me and my friends that do it call it.
Also go to the Hollows asap, and do that with the Frostfire mission, its a guarnted level every time, if not more.
