So You Want to Make a Random Character?

A way to do power pools (This is how I like to do it)
Pick randomly how many you will take in advance 1 - 4.
Now pick each pool (in advance randomly)

Now simply add the power when they become available to your random things to pick from.


I like to roll everything up to 38 in advance. Here is one I rolled up that I will NOT be playing because you could not make a worse build if you tried.

Well, my Randomite, Null Kelvin on Pinnacle, is a really weird build. I've decided not to roll in advance, so that I can't prepare for what's coming, but here's what he's got so far:

Level 1: Lift, Ice Bolt
Level 2: Ice Sword
Level 4: Ice Sword Circle
Level 6: Challenge, from Presence

Yes, that's right, a dominator without any control. And a taunt.

I like to call him my blapper.

Just rolled a Randomite m'self. Power Chord, En/Son Cor on Pinnacle. Rahien convinced me... by mentioning it. Getting me to make a new alt is like knocking down a house of cards with a grenade. Way, way too easy.

I've decided to do everything randomly. Enhancements, Vet Reward powers, sprints (got 6), contacts, Newspaper missions, etc.

I've also determined that I will be using my respecs to re-randomize every ten levels. I've promised myself that I'll stick with him until at least 20.

I'm working on a webpage (javascript) that will do this for you. (So I can do it like 100 times, then pick then one I want. Because I'm a wimp). Should be done by Monday.

I'm thinking about doing it so you can do one level at a time - and save your results. But that feature will come later.

Another idea - why don't we all do this on the same server and have a random only SG /VG? The only problem is if you pick whether you'll be a hero of villain randomly. We'll have to split up.

Looks like my SG will be trying this idea out. Might make things interesting if the damage dealers get defenders and I wind up with a damage dealer (I'm the tank/defender/controller guy). Role reversal is good.
