Book III
Chapter IV: Taming of the Wild

-~Werehound~-

Werehound sat in a hidden corner of Kings Row. He had been losing control over his body, changing between human form and his werewolf form rapidly. The last thing he remembered was being in Steel Canyon, but now he is in Kings Row with a kidnapped hero.

Werehound turned to the hero with a sheet over her head. Werehound tried to speak, but everything came out as roars. The hero trembled in fear. Her hands and feet were tied up and had no way of escaping.

‘What did I do, how did this happen?’ thought Werehound to himself. ‘How did this all begin?’

Werehound felt his body begin to shrink, returning back to his normal form. He became James Dean once again.

“This has gone on far enough,” muttered James.
“What did you say?” asked the hero.

James removed the sheet from the hero. James recognized the hero as Phantoma Storm, who he has fought with and has even saved him.

“I’m really sorry,” said James.
“Oh, yes, you should be,” said Phantoma Storm. “You messed with the wrong hero.”

Phantoma Storm suddenly vanished and reappeared next to James.

“Feel my wraith, villain,” said Phantoma.

Freezing rain fell from the sky and smashed down on James. James felt his body change once again, back to Werehound.

“SMASH!” shouted Werehound as he slammed his fists down onto Phantoma Storm.

Phantoma called a strong gust of wind to knock Werehound off his feet, sending him back a few yards. Werehound ripped out a piece of the ground and tossed it at Phantoma, pinning her to the ground.
A small tornado formed, lifting the piece of the ground off of Phantoma and throwing it at Werehound. Werehound quickly dodged and ran for his life as the tornado chased after him.

Werehound had only one place to go…back to the Rogue Isles.

-~Radevil~-

Radevil regained consciousness in an Arachnos laboratory. She was lying down on a table, chained down so she wouldn’t escape. Around her were Ghost Widow, Black Scorpion, Lord Recluse and an old scientist.

“What’s happening?” asked Radevil.
“You lost control over your powers,” said Ghost Widow.
“I still think we should kill her,” said Black Scorpion.
“No,” said Ghost Widow.
“No, she is much to valuable to us,” said Lord Recluse. “Did you know that you released an atomic blast?”

Radevil looked confused.

“So what do you want to do?” asked Radevil.
“We are just testing something,” said Ghost Widow.
“Testing what?” asked Radevil.

Lord Recluse picked up a small hand mirror from behind him and put it in front of Radevil’s face. Radevil gasped in horror.

Part of her skin was beginning to dissolve and a new metallic form took its place.

“What is that?” asked Radevil. Radevil took another look at the mirror. “I know what it is, its radium.”

Ghost Widow nodded.
“That’s what we think it is,” said Ghost Widow. “How did you know?”
“I used to study radiology at Paragon University,” said Radevil. “So, what are we going to do?”

Ghost Widow smiled.

“We are going to build you a body suit so the radium is maintained and not let loose, affect us,” said Ghost Widow.
“Will I ever be allowed to take the suit off?” asked Radevil.
“Yes, once you learn to control your powers,” said Ghost Widow.

-~Phantoma Storm~-

“Where are you?” shouted Phantoma Storm as she flew around Paragon City, looking for Werehound.

After an hour of searching, Phantoma gave up and sat down in Galaxy City.

“Excuse me,” said a voice from behind Phantoma.

Phantoma turned around and saw a heroine.

“Hi, but, I think I know you,” said the heroine. “My name is Cass…I mean, Amethystar. I’m a new hero to Paragon City.”
“Hello, Amethystar,” said Phantoma. “My name is Phantoma Storm.”
“I think I saw you, uh, die,” said Amethystar, nervously.

Phantoma took a step back, surprised.

“Yes, it is possible, but,” said Phantoma Storm.
“You’re alive. I watched you die but now you are alive,” said Amethystar. “I saw you explode but you’re alive!”

Phantoma noticed a ring with an amethyst gem on Amethystar. The ring began to glow and gave off a warm wave of energy.

“Your ring, it’s glowing,” said Phantoma, pointing to Amethystar’s ring.

Amethystar looked at her ring.

“It does that, but hasn’t ever glowed that bright before,” said Amethystar.

Phantoma Storm watched as dark portal appeared behind Amethystar. Before Phantoma could say anything, an arm came out of the portal and grabbed onto Amethystar.

“Help!” screamed Amethystar as the arm pulled her into the portal.
“No!” screamed Phantoma as the portal quickly closed.
“No!” cried another voice. A heroine appeared from behind a tree. “I was supposed to be watching her! Silent Spy is going to kill me!”

Phantoma Storm froze and turned at the hero.

“Did you say Silent Spy? She’s alive?” asked Phantoma.
“Yes? And you are?” asked the heroine.
“I’m Phantoma Storm,” said Phantoma.
“I’m Netherflare,” said the heroine, in tears.
“We need to rescue Amethystar,” said Phantoma. “How does Amethystar know Silent Spy?”
“Amethystar is Silent Spy’s mother,” said Netherflare.
“But she looked so young,” said Phantoma.
“Long story,” said Netherflare. “Any ideas on how to save her?”

Another portal opened from behind Phantoma.

“Watch out!” shouted Netherflare as an arm pulled Phantoma Storm into the portal.

Netherflare quickly jumped into the portal after her as the portal closed.

-~ZapperScurge~-

The Malta agent held the gun at ZapperScurge’s head as ZapperScurge designed a blueprint for a new robot.

“It’s done,” said ZapperScurge, handing the blueprint to the Malta agents. “It’s a heat-seeking robot.”

The Malta took the blueprints and lowered the gun from ZapperScurge’s head.

“Now build it,” said the Malta agent.
“Sure thing,” said ZapperScurge.
“There’s all the material you should need, let us know if you need more,” said the Malta agent.

ZapperScurge looked through the materials, smiling. After seven hours of working, he was done.

“The robot was small, but should cause a lot of destruction,” said ZapperScurge.
“What can it do?” asked the Malta agent.
“Watch this,” said ZapperScurge.

ZapperScurge grabbed the controlling device and walked towards the door to the room. He pressed the main button.

The robot began to blast lasers at everyone in the room as ZapperScurge ran out. As ZapperScurge escaped, the robot performed its grand finale. The robot exploded into pieces, killing everyone in the room.

ZapperScurge escaped safely and looked around him. There was a giant nuclear missile.

“Where am I?” asked ZapperScurge.

ZapperScurge used a device he had to find where he was. He was in Warburg.

Book III
Chapter V: No Good Deed

-~Phantoma Storm~-

“No good deed goes unpunished,” whispered Phantoma Storm, trapped inside an unbreakable, glass case.

The case was floating in a void of swirling dark colors.

“No good deed goes unpunished,” repeated Phantoma Storm. “I just wanted to help, but now I am here too, trapped and lost.”

Nobody could hear her and no one was around her. She was alone…again…

“I swear to you my innocence, your honor,” pleaded Tabitha C. Salamanca.
“Are you innocent then?” asked the judge.
“I am no witch,” stated Tabitha firmly.

It was in England of 1962 when Tabitha C. Salamanca was taken to accused of witchcraft.

“How can you deny these claims?” asked the judge. “People have seen you perform witchcraft!”

Tabitha stomped her foot on the ground as the jury gasped in fear of a curse.

“I am no witch,” repeated Tabitha.
“You burnt down your neighbor’s house with magic!” shouted the judge.
“I did no such thing,” said Tabitha coldly. “I spotted the house ablaze and rushed there to rescue those inside. Unfortunately, I was too late.”

“Lies!” shouted a prosecutor. “I saw you ignite the house!”
“I did not such thing!” shouted Tabitha angrily.

The prosecutor sat down in panic, afraid that he has been cursed. The prosecutor clutched his heart in panic and fell to the ground in an epileptic fit.

“Witchcraft!” shouted the judge. “You have just put our witness into an epilepsy!”

Tabitha’s mouth dropped in fright of what will happen to her.

“With the power invested in me, I hereby sentence you to be hanged!” shouted the judge, smashing his gavel.

“No!” cried Tabitha, falling on her knees. “No!”

Tabitha stood up in anger.

“Witchcraft? I’ll show you witchcraft!” shouted Tabitha at the jury.

Several jury members ran out of the courtroom, screaming in panic.

“No good deed goes unpunished!” shouted Tabitha, looking at remaining few who have stayed in the courtroom.

Tabitha quickly grabbed a knife from one of the guards in the courtroom. The guard was ready to retaliate, but was afraid to.

Tabitha used the blade and slit her arm, careful not to slit her veins. Her blood spilled to the ground.

“No good deed goes unpunished,” muttered Tabitha in pain.

Tabitha was confused and thought of what to say next.

“Oh, dark lord, I give you my soul to do with as you please,” said Tabitha holding the knife outward. “Take my soul!”

Tabitha stabbed herself in her chest and she fell over completely. She saw her soul become slowly removed from her body as she began to die.

For three hundred years, the soul of Tabitha C. Salamanca wandered the earth, searching for her body. Finally, she found it in Croatoa, an area in Paragon City.

Tabitha was able to resurrect herself. Tabitha emerged from her grave in Croatoa. Tabitha looked at her tombstone’s epitaph: No Good Deed.

Tabitha wandered around Croatoa and noticed something unusual. There were people wearing long, flowing capes flying in the air.

“Halt!” shouted Tabitha.

A man in the sky flew down to Tabitha.

“How may I help you?” asked the man.
“Are you a witch or a warlock?” asked Tabitha.
“No, I am a hero,” said the man, confused. “And you are?”
“Tabitha C. Salamanca,” said Tabitha.
“What? You…you…died,” said the hero. “Run!”

The hero quickly flew off as three women approached Tabitha.

“Hello,” said one of the women.
“Tabitha C. Salamanca?” asked another woman.
“A witch,” said the third woman.
“I was wrongly prosecuted,” said Tabitha.
“You have a soul,” said the first woman.
“The dark lord wants it back,” said the second.
“We will have to take it from you,” said the third.

Tabitha stared at the three women.

“Are you witches?” asked Tabitha.
“We will take your soul without death,” said the first.
“Sounds scary, doesn’t it?” asked the second.
“But we all have had our souls removed,” said the third.
“All three of you?” asked Tabitha.
“More than three,” said the first.
“Much more,” said the second.
“There are more of us,” said the third.

Tabitha took a step back.

“More witches?” asked Tabitha.
“We are more than witches,” said the first.
“We are the Cabal,” said the second.
“We are witches, united together,” said the third.
“Now,” said the first witch.
“We can take your soul the easy way, or the hard way,” said the second.
“Either way, we will get your soul,” said the third.

The three witches called a bolt of lighting to strike Tabitha. Tabitha fell to the ground as the witches began to perform a ritual around her.
Tabitha was paralyzed and felt her body be lifted off the ground. She felt her soul become slowly removed from her body. Tabitha was then placed down onto the ground.

Tabitha moved her pointer finger. It moved normally, but felt as if something was missing. Her senses were stronger. She was able to feel the vibrations of sound and her eyesight was much stronger. Tabitha rubbed her hands together. She could feel the ridges in her fingertips and the temperature of her hands.
Tabitha felt the wind blow past her body. She was able to feel the rain that was a mile away. She saw lightning before it happened and knew the direction of the wind.

“What happened to me?” asked Tabitha.
“You are one of us now,” said the first witch.
“You are a Cabal,” said the second witch.
“Now, for the test,” said the third witch, pointing to the graveyard.

Tabitha turned to the graveyard. She was able to see the ghosts of the people who have died, hovering over their tombstones with chains holding them down.

“Why are they chained down?” asked Tabitha.
“They still have a soul that is bound to their body,” said the first witch.
“When you give up your soul, you free it from its bond to your body,” said the second witch.
“It no longer has to serve and fill your body,” said the third witch.

Tabitha turned back to the witches.

“What will happen to me when I die?” asked Tabitha.
“You may be brought back to life,” said the first witch.
“There are two ways to be brought back,” said the second witch.
“One way is if your soul is returned to you,” said the third witch.
“The second is if someone gives you a soul,” said the first witch.
“However, if someone give you a soul,” said the second witch.
“You will begin to change,” said the third witch.

The hero and a group of other heroes returned to Tabitha and the three witches.

“Intimidating,” said the first witch.
“Very,” said the second witch, laughing.
“Let’s go,” said the third.

The witches performed spells and summoned storms to battle off the heroes. The heroes quickly defeated the three witches and then surrounded Tabitha.
One of the heroes grabbed on to Tabitha and held on tightly.

“Let me go!” yelled Tabitha, kicking and screaming.

Tabitha thought about how to escape as the heroes began to crowd around her more closely. She felt pressure coming towards her. She quickly released the pressure as a strong gust of wind, knocking some heroes back.
She then summoned a cloud of lighting to strike the other heroes. The group of heroes was quickly defeated. However, she did not know how to get rid of the lightning cloud.

The lightning cloud began to strike the cemetery, with lightning bolts blasting at the tombstones. As they struck, the chains on the souls were freed.
The souls approached Tabitha and bowed down to her, calling her their master.

She then realized that with the power to control souls and storms, she can be the strongest witch of the Cabal.

After four years with the Cabal, Tabitha became one of the leading ranks in the Cabal and was named Phantoma Storm, after her ability to control phantoms and weather. She was a feared and powerful witch, always followed by her army of souls.

Phantoma had learned many witchcraft spells that other Cabal members did not even dream of mastering. Phantoma was able to summon terrifying ghosts, she could make her self appear to be invisible, blind her foes and play with her enemies’ minds.

There was only one spell Phantoma had yet to master; she could not recall her own soul. However, after months of practice, she finally successfully called forth her soul.

Phantoma Storm became the leading rank of the Cabal until the dreadful day when she got in a battle with the most powerful hero, Statesman.

Statesman easily defeated her, and accidentally killed her. Luckily, the next day, a hero Numina brought Phantoma Storm back to life. Unfortunately, she was given a new soul.
While Phantoma had all the same abilities, she saw the world in a different way. She opposed the Cabal and became a hero.

After years of heroism, Phantoma Storm was killed once again by a villain named Radevil; and once again, was brought back to life by Numina…

“Let me out of here!” cried Phantoma Storm, still locked inside the glass case after hours and hours of waiting.

-~Netherflare~-

Netherflare arrived in a mysterious place. Around her were humanoid voids.

“Where am I?” asked Netherflare.
“Die hero,” said a void, pointing a strange gun at Netherflare.
“Who are you?” asked Netherflare.
“We are the Nictus,” said the void.
“Listen, all I want is my friends back,” said Netheflare.
“Please leave,” said the void.

Netherflare smiled and was ready to summon her fire imps. However, they did not come.

“My powers don’t work here,” said Netherflare.
“How unfortunate,” said the void. “Lock her up.”

Netherflare took a step back.

“I think I’ll just leave,” said Netherflare.
“We offered you a chance before we knew you were a hero,” said the void. “Now we know. Lock her up.”

The group of voids walked to Netherflare and quickly teleported her away, into a glass case.

-~Radevil~-

“Its done,” said Ghost Widow.

Radevil stood up and looked into a mirror. The body suit was finished and fit her well.

“Now, I do have a favor to ask of you,” said Ghost Widow.
“Anything,” said Radevil.
“Portal Corps has been causing problems for us,” said Lord Recluse.
“They are trying to create a portal that leads to the Rogue Isles,” said Ghost Widow.
“So, what is it that you want me to do?” asked Radevil.
“We want you to shut Portal Corps down,” said Ghost Widow.
“For good,” said Lord Recluse.

Book III
Chapter VI: Lockdown

-~Phantoma Storm~-

Phantoma Storm sat in a glass case, floating in a mysterious void. Suddenly, a body was tossed it. It was a girl, a heroine that she recognized as Netherflare.

“Netherflare?” asked Phantoma.
“Oh, hey, its you,” said Netherflare.
“Where are we?” asked Phantoma. “Who took us here?”
“The Nictus. I have no idea where we are,” said Netherflare. “I think they just want Amethystar. I can’t use my powers, can you?”

Phantoma Storm concenrated and tried to summon her phantom army.

“No, I can’t,” said Phantoma.

One of the glass walls dissolved away as three men entered the case, appearing from darkness, armed with large guns.

“Let us go,” demanded Phantoma.
“No,” said one of the men.

Netherflare quietly snuck behind the three men, winking at Phantoma. Phantoma continued to distract the men.

“Please,” said Phantoma.
“Never,” said another man.

Netherflare was behind the men and quickly slipped out of the case. As Netherflare jumped out, there was a large flash and she disappeared.

“Good bye,” said Phantoma with a smile as she leapt at one of the men.

Another man quickly shot Phantoma in the gut while she was in mid-air. Phantoma was blasted back and launched into a wall in the case.

“Netherflare!” screamed Phantoma as the glass case completely closed, with Phantoma trapped with the three men.

-~Figi~-

Figi arrived at Lord Recluse’s mansion, searching for Ghost Widow, who had sent her off to space to find Radevil. Within minutes, Figi found Ghost Widow, followed by many of the other Arachnos. Behind here were Lord Recluse, Black Scorpion, Scirocco, Wretch, Captain Mako and someone wearing some form of a battle armor.

“Ghost Widow!” shouted Figi, approaching the groups.
“Figi,” said Ghost Widow, nervously.
“Figi?” asked the person in the battle armor. “It’s me, Radevil.”

Figi looked confused, giving looks at Ghost Widow and the person claiming to be Radevil.

“We found her shortly after you left,” said Ghost Widow.
“She can help us,” said Radevil.
“Absolutely not,” said Lord Recluse.

Figi took a step closer, with her arms crossed.

“Help you with what?” asked Figi.
“Destroying Portal Corps.,” said Radevil.
“Sounds fun, count me in,” said Figi.
“No,” said Lord Recluse.
“Let her come, I owe her one,” said Ghost Widow.

The group of villains walked to the dock where they boarded a large ship, carrying them off to Portal Corps.

-~Jessica Thine~-

Jessica exitted the giant portal, returning back to Portal Corps. She had spent the past few hours exploring a region called the Shadow Shard, which is much too dangerous for the average worker. But not too dangerous for Jessica, who was once the legendary hero Silent Spy. Now she is nothing but a multidimensional explorer.

Jessica walked towards her boss, Tina Macyntire, who was waiting impatiently for Jessica to give her the field report.

“The area is dangerous,” said Jessica. “The Rularuu still completely control the area.”
“Well, that’s no good,” said Tina. “Next time, return faster so I don’t have to be worrried we lost another one.”
“Lost another one?” asked Jessica.
“People get lost travelling dimensions,” said Tina. “Part of the job.”

Tina walked off quickly, heading to one of the laboratories. Jessica chased after her, following her to the elevator. As Tina was about to enter to elevator, Jessica put her arm out and stopped Tina.

“What happens when you lose somebody?” asked Jessica.
“We usually try sending heroes to find them,” said Tina. “Sometimes its just too late.”
“Too late?” asked Jessica, annoyed.

Tina quickly pushed Jessica’s arm aside and walked into the elevator. The elevator doors shut in front of Jessica’s face. Jessica banged on the door, screaming at Tina. After a few seconds, Jessica calmed down. Just then, there was a loud scream as an alarm went off. The power went off quickly and then went back on.

“What was that?” asked Jessica.

One of the elevators opened as two people came out. One was a person in a full suit of body armor and the other was a girl with greenish hair. Jessica stared at the one with the green hair.

“Figi,” gasped Jessica.

Figi glanced at Jessica, shocked that she was recognized. Other workers on the floor began to crowd around the villains, nervous about what was going to happen.

“Everybody get on the floor, now!” shouted the person in the armor, who sounded like a woman.

Many of the workers quickly jumped down to the ground or cowered against the walls, except for Jessica and two other workers.

“No,” said one of the other workers. “Try and make me.”

Figi smiled and looked at the brave worker.

A vine grew from the ceiling and wrapped around the worker. The vine constricted tightly and then lifted the worker off the ground, holding him up to the ceiling.

The second worker quickly fell to the ground in fear as his friend hung over his body.

“And what about you?” asked the woman in the armor.
“I’m not easily intimidated,” said Jessica.

Figi laughed as a few vines grew out of the ground in front of Jessica. The vines wrapped around Jessica’s feet as a small plant grew out of the ground. The plant grew larger and larger. It was a large Venus flytrap.

“Oh, how scary,” said Jessica sarcastically.
“Get down,” whispered one of the workers.

Jessica couldn’t give away her secret identity, but she knew she couldn’t just stand there. Jessica quickly kicked free of the vines and gave a hard roundhouse kick to the Venus flytrap. The Venus flytrap tried to bite Jessica, but missed. Jessica fell to the ground trying to dodge, but quickly jumped back up.

“Get on the ground now,” said Figi, angrily.
“Or else what?” asked Jessica.
“Or you will all die,” said the woman in the armor. “I have the capability to release an atomic blast of energy around me, killing everyone nearby. Those who do not die immediately will die to the severe radiation.”

Jessica recognized that voice.

“Radevil,” said Jessica, staring at the woman in the armor.

Radevil looked at Jessica, carefully examining her.

“Hello, Silent Spy,” said Radevil.

The workers gasped in shock that they had been working with a hero all along.

“Get her,” said Radevil.

A large vine grew out of the ground and wrapped around Jessica, holding her securely against the wall.

“Hey!” shouted Jessica.
“Put her somewhere secure,” said Radevil.

A few vines grew on the elevator doors and opened them up. The vine carrying Jessica began to move, dragging Jessica into the elevator. As Jessica was thrown into the elevator, the doors slammed shut and vines secured the door to prevent them from opening again.

In the elevator with Jessica was Tina, who sat in the corner, crying.

“Hey,” said Jessica, trying to comfort her. “We’re going to make it through this.”
“Oh,” said Tina angrily. “How do you know that?”
“Because,” said Jessica. “You knew me for longer than you think. Do you remember a hero named Silent Spy?”

Tina looked up at Jessica, relieved.

-~NeoRadiation~-

NeoRadiation sat in the bar of Pocket D. Security ran into the club, armed with guns and riot shields. The security began to separate the heroes from the villains, pushing them into different sides. People in the club were screaming as they were pushed in this riot.

“What’s going on?” asked NeoRadiation to one of the security.
“Something’s going down in Portal Corps.,” said the security guard.

NeoRadiation turned to the bartender.

“Turn on the TV for Paragon City,” said NeoRadiation.

The bartender quickly turned on the television. There was a new report. One of the field reporters stood in Portal Court where there appeared to be a lockdown.

“There is an atomic bomb threat in Portal Corps. today,” said the reporter. “This is the most intense hold-up scenario of the century. The suspects are the Arachnos, including Lord Recluse, who has been seen wandering around in the area, attacking all who stand in his way.”

NeoRadiation turned to the bartender, who dropped a glass in shock.

“The suspects are threatening to detonate the bomb if any hero comes to the scene,” continued the reporter.

NeoRadiation stood up from the barstool and began to head out.

“Hey!” shouted the bartender. “The reporter said that they’ll detonate if you go near there!”
“It’s my job,” said NeoRadiation.
“It’s my job, too,” said another hero, who was sitting at the bar.

The hero walked next to NeoRadiation.

“My name’s Gravanator,” said the hero.
“I’m NeoRadiation,” said NeoRadiation.

NeoRadiation and Gravanator turned around and started walking down the hallway, out of Pocket D.

“Don’t forget about me,” said a voice.

An axe flew by Gravanator’s face, missing him by inches. NeoRadiation looked at the axe. It was very diligently designed. It was an axe that was so breath-taking, it was unforgetable.

“He’s back,” whispered NeoRadiation.
“Who?” asked Gravanator.

A hero named Tribal Axe emerged from the shadows.

-~Radevil~-

“Okay, Figi,” said Radevil. “I need you to tell Black Scorpion that its time to destroy the portals.”
“Destroy the portals?” asked one of the workers, cowering in fear against the wall.

Figi pulled a walkie-talkie out of her pocket and called for Black Scorpion to come. A few seconds later, there was a loud bang as the ceiling cracked open and Black Scorpion came falling through, landing perfectly on his feet.

“Hello,” said Black Scorpion. “The elevator was broken.”

Black Scorpion walked to one of the portals and destroyed it in one mighty and powerful strike.

Ghost Widow and Captain Mako suddenly appeared behind Radevil and Figi.

“Hello,” said Ghost Widow.
“How long were you there for?” asked Figi, shocked to see them.
“We just got here,” said Captain Mako.

Ghost Widow put her hand on Radevil.

“Lord Recluse wanted me to tell you to expect heroes to come, even with the threat,” said Ghost Widow. “I want you to carry out the threat.”

Radevil breathed deeply, realizing what she will have to do.

“Don’t worry, it will be done,” said Radevil.

-~Netherflare~-

Netherflare arrived at Portal Court, looking for Silent Spy to tell her what happened to Amethystar. However, the entire area was blocked off by police officers.

“Please let me in,” said Netherflare to one of the police officers.
“I can’t do that,” said the police officer. “Now, please, back up!”
“You don’t understand, its an emergency,” said Netherflare, angrily.
“I understand that there is a crisis going on, now please back up,” said the officer.

Netherflare backed away, angry. She then quickly turned around and summoned her Fire Imps. The Fire Imps began to burn the police officers, distracting them. Netherflare quickly ran by the officers and into the one of the buildings.

Netherflare spotted Ghost Widow walking down the hallway. Netherflare jumped behind a desk and hid. When Ghost Widow left, Netherflare came out of hiding, confused.

A suprising and sharp pain struck Netherflare’s back. Netherflare quickly turned around to find who had attack her. She came face to face with Captain Mako.

“Hello, deary,” said Captain Mako.

Netherflare drained Captain Mako’s speed and made herself faster. She then ran back and created a ring of fire around Captain Mako.

“You think this will stop me?” asked Captain Mako.

Captain Mako leapt at Netherflare and scratched her across the chest. Netherflare quickly created some fire to burn Captain Mako.

“Do you honestly think you can defeat me?” asked Captain Mako with a laugh. “What do you think I am?”

Netherflare built up a large amount of heat and launched it at Captain Mako as a large, fiery ball. The ball hit Captain Mako in the chest and ignited him on fire. Captain Mako fell to the ground, burning.

“Cooked fish,” said Netherflare, watching Captain Mako burn.

Netherflare quickly ran towards an elevator, but they weren’t working. She jumped down a large whole in the ground that took her to the floor below.

Netherflare looked around. There were workers on the ground, crying or cowering in fear. She then came face to face with a villain she recognized as Figi and one other villain.

“Netherflare,” said Figi.
“How foolish, a hero actually came,” said the other villain.
“Are you ready, Radevil?” asked Figi.
“Radevil?” asked Netherflare. “Is that you?”

Netherflare looked at the two, confused.

“Ready for what?” asked Netherflare.
“Don’t play dumb,” said Radevil.
“I just need to find Silent Spy,” said Netherflare. “What’s going on?”

Figi and Radevil laughed.

“If she wants to see her friend,” started Radevil. “So be it.”
A vine grew out of the wall and quickly wrapped around Netherflare. The vine pulled her towards the elevator as the doors slowly opened.

“Help!” screamed Netherflare.

Somebody jumped out of the elevator and past Netherflare and gave a fast kick at Figi. Figi fell to the ground as the person turned towards Netherflare. It was Silent Spy.

“Spy!” said Netherflare, excited.

Radevil stomped her foot, angrily.

“That’s it! It’s time!” screamed Radevil.

The workers began to scream and quickly stood up and ran as far as possible, tripping over each other. A woman in the elevator began to push every button inside, but nothing worked. Even Silent Spy back up in fright, but Netherflare was helpless.
Silent Spy tackled Netherflare into the elevator and grabbed onto her and the woman in the elevator.

“No!” shouted one of the workers, jumping at Radevil.
“Close the doors!” screamed Silent Spy.

Netherflare quickly pressed the door-close button on the elevator as Silent Spy held on tighter. There was an extreme explosion around Radevil as the elevator doors shut. The explosion blasted at the elevator doors, shaking the entire elevator. The elevator lights went out as there were loud crashing sounds from all around. Silent Spy loosened her grip as Netherflare began to scream. The elevator began to shoot sparks inside, burning the worker in the elevator. Netherflare felt the elevator begin to shrink and crumble under the pressure. She felt an extreme weight over her body, crushing her bones. There wasn’t enough oxygen nor air to breathe. She felt the debris on her body, compressing her lungs. At that instant, a horrible though came to her mind.

“We’re all going to die,” gasped Netherflare, trying to get more air.
