I recall the episode of History Bites - "What if television was around during major historical events?" - dealing with the Declaration of Independance and the Constitution. The one line by one of the Founding Fathers - Thomas Payne? - was "Well, I'm the richest man in America, and what's good for me is good for the country."

Does anyone think the United States is kind Fascist? I mean that there is a big line between the super rich and the average person, and they both seem to stay in their areas. And since most of the people in Congress are rich, they have a lot more control than the average Americans. And lets not forget the fact that if you want to run for President, you'll need a lot of money (for advertising and etc.).
-Note: I don't want flames, though it is probably too sensitive a topic not to expect them.
