Gleepwurp's Task Force and Trial Guide
Just coming back after a year away. Glad this has been helpful for people. Am looking forward to trying some of the Strike Forces and such on the villain side. Regarding the TF timings, I think the main thing was just that I was almost always on supergroup only teams. We worked together well, and I usually ran us through relatively quickly because I'd get bored if I didn't. There was also usually some playful level of competition because we kept track of "record" timings for TFs on our supergroup web site, and people liked seeing their names on those records.

Thats right you can now solo a TF.

At least two members of the TF have to still be 'doing' the TF...if all but one quit the TF (Not just log out) then the TF will end. This is how I got an SG-mate the badge...we started the TF, I ran through virtually all of it with the other two logged out, and I let him solo the last mission. (I already had the badge.)
Great to see you're back, Gleepwurp. I've had this guide bookmarked pretty much since I found it. The times are, indeed, far too short for most groups, at least most PuGs, but aside from that, I use this guide (And the links) as a frequent reference. I look forward to your Redside Guide, if you ever do one.
Numina is now 35-40. At least thats what support was claiming when i petitioned them about messed up levels on my team. Of course they didnt raise the villians levels so now its Heros vs greys....
awesome guide. any updates for I10?
YEAH, but what do I do?
Wow, nice guide. Some of it's out dated but still a nice write up. Hope Gleep comes back to update it.
Easiest way to get the time down on the earlier TFs is to run the minimum number of heroes. Positron can be done in 3 hours or less with a 3 hero team. I've done it without support type heroes on several occasions. Last time I did it was with my 15 fire/energy blapper, a 11 ken def and a exemped scrapper. after teh 3rd mission we all quit for various reasons. when i logged back in I noticed i was still in the TF...Thats right you can now solo a TF. So I did the rest of the missions solo. Cortex is a pain. Alpha'd him down to about 1/5 his health b4 he confused me then had a mad scramble as i was out of BFs and was randomly targeting him, the abomination i was trying to ignore, and the scared citizens that are running around. Finished him and the Abomination off with about 4 hp left. Defiance at its best.
((for those that don't know a blapper is a blaster that consentrates on the melee attacks in the energy secondary))
