Wondering if someone can explain how role players level in the game.
Thanks,

Same as everyone else, big shooter. By heading out and doing the missions, killing badguys, etc. etc. In-Character or not its the only way.

Um...not sure I understand your question.

While you are RPing, you still have to fight stuff and go on missions. You can't sit and chat 100% of the time.

I'm gonna take a crack at this...though this is just my way.

Hero's going along, and is developing his skills as he fights crime. While fighting he thinks of (or discovers) a new way (spell, technique, design) for a new power, and then proceeds to test his assessment with a trainer. The trainer then approves, and authorizes him with the next security level. In actuality, the simple click and level in game for me is actually like an extensive ability assessment to determine if indeed the hero has what it takes to be authorized for the next security authorization promotion. The odd levels of course are different ways to utilize a current device through a modification, or other increased enhancement. Hope that helps.

Edit: heh...I guess I was the first to see it the OTHER way of asking....or maybe I got it completely wrong. eh.

Sorry folks, should have been more clear. In game I see peoples search comments say, "RPer, NO random invites"
I was just wondering how they leveled

Oh well in that case, they level up as a team claiming their quest like Red Mage.

Believe it or not, many people don't need random invites to level. Supergroups, friends (global and server lists), and friends of friends generally make excellent and more reliable teams.

It's also not that hard to quickly solo (depending on AT) the first few levels. And (from personal experience) if you're a scrapper or a blaster, you can solo quite efficiently for quite a while. In the late game it's been easiest for tanks to do pretty much whatever they wanted, but that stands to change with Issue 5.

You don't realize that by answering a vague question correctly you get more exp than a sidequest right?
