Attention Roleplayers on Pinnacle

Greetings,

The RP Congress is holding another meet-and-greet to welcome roleplayers on the Pinnacle server on Sunday, July 10 at 7 pm EST. In character, we play it as a Supergroup Job Fair, where members of our various SGs hold a recruiting drive to find the "best and brightest" in Paragon.

This time, we're holding it in Talos, on the big hill next to the tram. We're also hosting a costume/biography contest, where contestants will be judged on both their look and description. The prizes for this contest (subject to change) are a Hami enhancement, and 2nd and 3rd place prizes of a cool million and 500 K influence, respectively. Stay tuned for more info on this in the time remaining.

If you can't wait until July 10, please come and check out how we work on www.rpcongress.com . We have a large interactive group going, many SGs of all types and flavours, as well as ongoing storylines that have a tendency to increase in size and scale depending on how many RPers join in.

Cheers,

Red

As the man supplying the Hamidon Enhancement and one of the judges, I will lay out the criteria for the Bio contest:

1) Make it semi-readable. I can accept a few spelling mistakes and grammatical snafus, but simple things like a lack of punctuation in its entirety or no capitalization will make me ignore your bio.
2) Be somewhat original. Yes, I know that people love their demons that rebelled against Satan and were kicked out of Hell and now save people on Earth. However, I want to read something that I can't find in 50 other bios in Atlas Park.
3) This is a costume/bio contest. So, having a costume that works with your bio will probably get you bonus points.
3) Of course, the winner is subject entirely to the judges' whims. Whatever we happen to like the best will be the one who wins. Don't be afraid to be funny, don't be afraid to be serious. Neither type of bio will sway us one way or the other, as long as it's well written.
4) Bios must be In Character, naturally.

Oh, and the Hami O will probably, perhaps be a Dam/Acc unless I don't manage to get one in the coming two weeks. I'll try to hook the winner up with a Hami they can use/will one day be able to use.

July 10th? Oh why not--I'll be there. I'll only *think* about the bells, though.

With my trial having ended, I 'ran' out and purchased a copy; at last, I can post on the forums! : )

I've been cruising over the Roleplaying board for a while now, always disheartened to see only Forum RP taking place (which I'm not knocking; if that is your thing, then more power to ya) and no clues as to who or where some in game RP might be occuring. Interestingly enough, the day I come to make my own post about gathering a group of RPers, I find this. : )

I have yet to check out your site (though rest assured, once I click submit, I'll look it over), but I am super excited to see there is indeed a RPing community in CoH. I very much look forward to seeing how you folks make it happen.

See ya around. ; )

Sorry folks, the Job Fair has been postponed until further notice.

Btw, Vennence, Virtue was 'elected' as the 'unofficial RP server' back at the end of Beta. That's where a lot of folks congregate. Most people new to the game won't know that though, and RPers CAN be found on most any server. Likewise, you'll unfortunately also find... other people... on any server.

I think I haven't played on Virtue in well over half a year to be honest, all my characters there being mothballed in favour of Pinnacle, the RPC and the CCCP. Not to mention that Pinnacle is also the unofficial (? or even official) drunk server.

(And no, not trying to start a server argument here, just pointing the above poster in directions of RP players that I'm aware of.)
