Big Brothers: Heroes ((RP Game Show))

((This is an idea I have been kicking around for a little while. It is an open RP to start with but it will close at a set point. More will be explained below.))

Strategically placed posters started to show up all over Paragon. At City Hall, Hero Corp, Icon, The Zig and most locations known to be hero meeting locations. They advertised something called ‘Big Brother: Heroes’ but gave little other information.

A week later a TV commercial started to play on Paragon TV. A young and hip 20 something man with shoulder length brown hair and a goatee talked into the camera with enthusiasm and a wacky kind of confidence.

“Hi. I’m Zackary Gaiman and I’m here to tell you, the heroes of Paragon City, about an exciting new TV game show coming soon to this very station and you can take.. part.. in.. it.” He exaggerated the last few words of the sentence to make them sound more important and cool.

“Big Brother: Heroes will see some of Paragon Cities finest under go the Big Brother House experience. That’s right. We will be taking a group of heroes and locking them in this….” He extended his hands in a gesture to show where he was, “…the Big Brother house.” The camera zoomed out to exaggerate the fact.

“Cameras in every room will show their every move to the viewers at home.” As he spoke he started to click his fingers in rapid succession. With each click the camera view suddenly changed to another shot of him from another view, obviously from the in house cameras. With the final click the view came back to the main camera on him. “There is not a corner of this house or its garden that is not covered.”

“The only place heroes will be able to talk to anyone out side the house is in the diary room where they can talk to Big Brother. Each week the hero house mates will under go the eviction process. Each hero house mate must vote for two heroes they want out of the house. The voting will then be opened to the viewers out of the two who got the most votes from the hero house mates. The one who remains at the end will be the winner.”

“Who knows what will happen. Maybe everyone will get on. Maybe personalities will clash. Maybe there will be drama. Maybe there will be arguments. Maybe there will be romance and if we are lucky a little bit more if you know what I mean.” He said the last part quietly as if he was secretly whispering to the viewers as he winked at the camera. “Who knows what will happen when you lock a group of heroes in a house together for weeks on end.”

“Auditions for hero consistence will be starting shortly. Any hero with any abilities and any security level may take part. But we can’t take everyone who applies. No I am afraid not. There will be a ‘selection’ process. The lucky winners will be able to enter the Big Brother House and have the chance to win a ‘truck load’ of money for the charity of their choice and get themselves a little exposure. Who knows… maybe even help launch their career.” He winked at the camera again.

“Soon video booths will be set up at different locations in Paragon. Icon, City Hall, Hero Corp and places like that. These will be for heroes to audition by… and please… only real heroes apply. We will be doing back ground checks.”

“Once we have chosen our group the show will begin a few days later and you will be locked in. So make sure you are comfortable with that. Shields similar to the ones seen around the city will stop anyone getting in or out of the house and its gardens. Not even teleportation will work. If this still sounds like the thing for you then head down to one of our video booths and maybe we will see you in the house later. Take care and keep it real.”

The commercial played out with the over the top tecno Big Brother theme music. A week later Big Brother Heroes video booths started to show up all over Paragon City.

((The audition part of this RP is open but once the heroes are picked and the game show itself starts the RP will become closed. No one else can enter. There will be an eviction process like in the real Big Brother and players will have to leave the house but not the RP. Other things will happen around the house. I’ll be in control of the game show itself but it’s up to the players what they do in the house. Obviously this is not a combat RP. It’s going to be more of a character drama and comedy RP but there is a possibility of other stuff happening outside the house. More to follow.))

((Anyone can take part in the audition part of the RP. Even if you do not wish to take part in the game show part of the RP that is fine. Just let me know you do not wish to get picked. Please also give a description of what your character looks like.))

Anyone who enters one of the Big Brother: Heroes video booths is asked a set of questions by an automated voice.

“Welcome and thank you for auditioning for Big Brother: Heroes. We will answer you a series of questions. Please answer them truthfully.

1) Please state your name and security level.

2) Can you please tell us about your origin and powers?

3) Please tell us about any hobbies or interests you might have?

4) How would you describe yourself?

5) Do you think you are easy to get along with?

6) Please tell us a little about one of your recent missions?

7) Why do you wish to appear on Big Brother: Heroes?

8) What do you think you will be able to bring to the Big Brother house?

9) What would you do if you win Big Brother Heroes?

10) ((OOC question: How regularly can/do you post?))

11) ((OOC question: Do you wish to be picked?))

Thank you for your time. We will contact you in a few days to let you know the success of your audition. Good luck.”

Larry Chatwood walks into the booth and looks around. At the moment he was not wearing any of his armor, which turned him into the hero Tick-Tok. Just a black button up shirt and baggy black pants. His green eyes looked around. a normal black haired boy with green eyes was what he was most of the time.

“Welcome and thank you for auditioning for Big Brother: Heroes. We will answer you a series of questions. Please answer them truthfully."

At hearing the automated voice Larry began to speak.

"Please state your name and security level."

"My name is Larry Chatwood, I am most known as Tick-Tok. I am security level fifity" Larry said.

"Can you please tell us about your origin and powers?"

"I was in a lab accident at my father's lab. My mind was put into that of a Clockwork robot. After breaking free of the hold of the Clockwork King I moved into the Whitmoore with my friend Necronus. He is long since gone, but I remain. Awhile ago I was turned into a real boy" Larry once again said "My armour gives me power over all forms of electricity. I also use many gadgets and my armour has flame capabilities."

"Please tell us about any hobbies or interests you might have?"

"My hobbies are video games, writing, mechanics and having fun!" He said.

"How would you describe yourself?"

"I'm a pretty nice guy I guess. If anyone needs help I'm there! I also always like to try new things" Larry said.

"Do you think you are easy to get along with?"

"Um...I'm pretty easy to get along with I suppose...But I like to keep to myself..." Larry muttered.

"Please tell us a little about one of your recent missions?"

Larry perked up at the next question. It was one of his personal favorites.

"One of my most recent missions is when I took down Countess Crey. She was planning on brainwashing people by using her CreyComp product. I eventually made it to the top of Paragon's Top Ten most wanted list. But after revealing what she was doing a I cleared of all charges. I then caught up with her and brought her in to the proper authorities" Larry said through smiling white teeth.

"Why do you wish to appear on Big Brother: Heroes?"

"Well my publisist said it would be good for my image. But I really want to join to try a new challenge!" Larry said.

"What do you think you will be able to bring to the Big Brother house?"

"I think I could give insight on some problem solving. But I can also hold my own in a hard fight!" Larry said as he raised his fist into the air.

"What would you do if you win Big Brother: Heroes?"

"If I won I would give my prize to the Orphanage in Founders' Falls. Right now they are making a new playground for the children" Larry said.

"Thank you for your time. We will contact you in a few days to let you know the success of your audition. Good luck.”

And with that Larry left the booth to let the next person in.

((OOC 10: I can probably post every day. If not then I'm doing something important.))

((OOC 11: Yes I wish to be picked))

((OOC: This sounds awesome fun Stu!))

In exploring Paragon City and fighting criminals with his newly acquired powers, Demetrica noticed flyers advertising for a new Hero based reality show. Demetrica had always been intrigued by those shows. He never understood why people would choose to put themselves on display for the whole world to judge. Now though, Demtrica had a thought, he has something to show the world. With that thought, Demetrica stepped into a Big Brother: Heroes video booth. A mechanical voice got straight to the point:

“Welcome and thank you for auditioning for Big Brother: Heroes. We will answer you a series of questions. Please answer them truthfully.”

The machine continued, listing a series of questions.
“1)Please state your name and security level.”

“I am Demetrica. I’d rather not give my former name. I am security level Seven.”

”2) Can you please tell us about your origin and powers?”

Demetrica thoughtfully scratched his chin and began, “I was working on an experiment while trying to get my Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering. I had decided to take a risk and try something truly unique for once. In my experiment I was able to successfully combine nuclear energy with my own physical energy. Needless to say, I was quite surprised, as I’d never actually gotten one of my own experiments to work.”

”3) Please tell us about any hobbies or interests you might have?”

”I enjoy learning about the laws of physics and the ways they can be exploited and used for the benefit of mankind.” Demetrica then looked down and fidgeted with his gloves and continued, “I also enjoy playing video games in my spare time. I have been known to write on occasion as well.”

”4) How would you describe yourself?”

”I am somewhat introverted I would say. I really prefer to keep to myself. I definitely do not like talking about my past. My life before I acquired my powers was quite unremarkable and awkward. I am trying to put those days behind me. Now that I have my powers, I want to focus on how I can used them to better the state of humanity.”

”5) Do you think you are easy to get along with?”

Demetrica smiled nervously, “I think that I am fairly easy to get along with. I don’t consider myself a very good conversationalist, but once someone gets to know me I think I’m fairly likable.”

”6) Please tell us a little about one of your recent missions?”

Demetrica’s shoulders sagged a bit as if he were embarrassed, “Since I am new to Paragon City I don’t have many good Hero stories. In my most recent mission I teamed up with a group of other new heroes and we fought our way through hordes of nasty bad guys in the Hollow.” Demetrica paused for a few seconds, then continued, “I didn’t do very well, I ended up in the hospital.”

”7) Why do you wish to appear on Big Brother: Heroes?”

Demetrica perked back up confidently, “I want the people of Paragon City to see who I really am. I want to show them that I am here to assist the Heroes in protecting this magnificent city.”

”8) What do you think you will be able to bring to the Big Brother house?”

”I think that I will be able to bring a very level head. I am very grounded and don’t let extra attention go to my head. I’d like to just do my own thing and meet some interesting people. Maybe I’ll even learn something about what it takes to make a great Hero!”

”9)What would you do if you win Big Brother Heroes?”

”To be honest, I didn’t even realize there was a prize. I’d never even thought about it. I guess if for some reason I was to win something, I would use it in a way that would benefit the most people. I don’t think it is right for those who have to withhold from those that do not.”

With the end of Demtrica's response, the machine turned off. Demetrica Sighed and shrugged his shoulders. Time to go train some more.

((It's been awhile since I've participated in an Open RP, and after several unsuccessful attempts at creating my own, I guess I'll try out for yours, Citizen_Stu ))

"Look out, Big Brother House! The Trio has arrived!" Varon declared boldly as he stood in front of the Audition Booth, posing as he did so. His two teammates laughed and applauded at the spectacle.
"This is so exciting, Varon!" Crystal giggled.
"You're the greatest, Varon!" Samantha said, giving Varon a thumbs up.
"Yes, I am." Varon chuckled to himself, rubbing his hand underneath his chin as he entered the Audition Booth dramatically.

Varon waited patiently as the automated machine asked him it's mandatory questions.

"My name is Varon Volt, Security Level 50!"

"Well... I'm a master of Electricity... I guess you could say that I got it from my father... in a way... but I don't want to bore you with that story! Next question, please!"

"That's easy! Hearing the praises of my many fans, reading my exploits in the local paper... what could be more fun or interesting than that? God, I amaze myself sometimes..."

"Let's see... I wear my traditional blue, single-piece super suit whenever I'm on duty! I've even painted some yellow lightning-bolt designs all over it! Pretty cool, huh? And of course there's my stylish golden spiked-hair-and-goatee combo, complete with my expensive blue sunglasses! Yup, I'm at the peak of fashion here!"

"Of course! How could you NOT like my incredibly outward personality? I'm the life of ANY party, just ask my teammates!"

"OK, so me and my girls got a call to seek and destroy of Devouring Earth deep inside the... (about 5 pages of long, long, INCREDIBLY long and detailed dialogue omitted)... and THAT was how I saved the day AND got the praise from the ladies!"

"Hell yes!"

"What do I bring? Come on, I'm a natural-born leader! People EVERYWHERE look up to me! Think of your ratings with ME aboard this show!"

"WHEN I win, I'll probably go on a vacation with my teammates... or something like that."

((I can Post pretty often, unless something BIG comes up... if that happens, I'll let you know, of course ))

((Yes, I want to be picked. I would ask, however, that if I'm picked, all THREE of my characters are picked, as well. I don't want to explain their entire relationship right when they're being introduced, so you'll have to take my word that I NEED all three of my characters (if you, in fact, decide to pick me) ))

"All right, girls! Your turn!" Varon smiled as he waltzed out of the Audition Booth. The two quickly pounced on their teammate.
"How did it go?" Samantha asked curiously.
"Were the questions hard?" Crystal asked nervously.
"What did they want to know?" Samantha asked.
"They didn't ask questions that were TOO personal, did they?" Crystal asked.
"Girls, girls!" Varon laughed, raising his hands to comfort his teammates. "Trust me, it's nothing you two can't handle." He placed his hands on each of their shoulders. "You two will do fine." A confident grin spread across Varon's face. "After all, you've got ME to inspire you!"
"Varon, you're so cool!" Crystal laughed, jumping up and down with joy.
"You're the best, Varon!" Samantha smiled.
"I know I am." Varon said, guiding his teammates into the Booth. "Now, go on you two!"

Crystal and Samantha soon found themselves in front of the automated machine.
"Are we allowed to do this at the same time?" Crystal asked, eyeing the machine curiously.
"Of course!" Samantha said matter-o-factually. "Why wouldn't we?"
The automated machine came to life and began it's questioning.

"My name is Crystal Cold, Security Level 45!"
"And my name is Samantha Spark, Security also Security Level 45!"

"Hmm..." Crystal was taken aback by the machine's question. She turned to Samantha, then back to the machine. "I have Ice-based powers, and my friend here has Fire-based powers!"
"We were born with our powers!" Samantha explained. "But they didn't start surfacing until two years ago..." She let her voice trail off, and there was a silence in the room for about a minute.
"OK, next question!" Crystal finally said quickly.

"Hobbies?" Samantha turned and smiled at Crystal, and Crystal returned her smile.
"Fighting crime with Varon!" Crystal and Samantha said in unison.
"Fighting alongside a great Hero like Varon is one of the best experiences in the world!" Crystal said, blushing as she recalled some of their battles.
"And when we're not fighting crime, we usually sit in front of the TV to catch the latest info on other Heroes in the city!" Samantha giggled. "Of course, none of them are as great as Varon."

"I wear a blue, single-piece spandex outfit that covers my entire body!" Crystal explained. "But when I'm not fighting crime, I usually like to wear a blue tube top and a short blue skirt, complete with matching blue sandals! I have long, blue hair that I keep wrapped back in a ponytail." Crystal thought for a moment. "That's about it for me. Samantha?"
"I wear the same type of outfit that Crystal wears, but mine is red instead of blue." Samantha began. "When we're not foiling evil, I usually wear a red, sleeveless shirt along with red shorts, completing my outfit with red, high-heeled shoes." Samantha shrugged. "I keep my long, red hair loose, so it can bounce freely. I like it that way."

"I can get along with anyone!" Crystal quickly responded to the question.
"That goes for me, too... unless they try and mess with Varon!" Samantha clenched her fist.
"That's right! If anyone messes with Varon, they mess with us!" Crystal yelled.

"Say, Samantha?" Crystal whispered to her friend. "Do you remember what we did on our last mission?"
"No, don't YOU remember what we did?" Samantha asked.
"Didn't we arrest some Banished Pantheon?" Crystal asked.
"No, that was the mission before the last..." Samantha said, placing her finger on her chin in thought. "What did we do?"
"Umm..." Crystal turned to the machine, laughing nervously. "Pass?"

"Well, it was Varon's idea to-oof!" Crystal was interrupted with a nudge from Samantha.
"What Crystal MEANS is, we think that it will be really fun to meet some more Heroes in such an enclosed enviorment!" Samantha laughed nervously.
"Yeah! Who wouldn't love living in the 'Big Brother' house? It's all the fun of living without any of the privacy!" Crystal joined Samantha in nervous laughter.

"What can we bring?" Samantha asked, turning to Crystal for support.
"Well..." Crystal thought hard for a moment. "We can certainly... um... wait a second... we can..."
"We can cook!" Samantha said quickly.
"We can?" Crystal asked.
"Yes!" Samantha said, clamping her hand over Crystal's mouth. "We've had alot of practice with Varon, and I'm sure cooking isn't the best trait of many Heroes!"
"But Crystal, the last time we cooked for Varon-HMPH!" Samantha clapped her hand over Crystal's mouth once more.
"Next question please!" Samantha said quickly.

"If we win?" Crystal turned to Samantha. Samantha shrugged.
"We don't know, really..." Samantha said. "If we DO manage to win somehow, well... we could ask Varon!"
"Right! I'm sure Varon could figure something out!" Crystal said enthusiastically.

"See? That wasn't so bad." Varon greeted Crystal and Samantha as they came out of the Booth.
"I don't know... some of those questions were hard..." Samatha said.
"Do you think we'll make it on the show?" Crystal asked.
Varon smiled. "You know the answer to that."

Kegen grumbled to herself as she stood outside of one of the booths. She glanced around at the people walking by and shook her head sadly. She took a deep breath and stepped inside.

"Welcome and Thank you for auditioning for Big Brother: Heros. We will ask you a few series of questions. Please answer them truthfully."

1) Please state your name and security level.

Etherburn, Pargon Hero registry number one four zero two dash six D, Security Clearence Level Thrity-sev...eerrr....sorry forgot when I was... I am Etherburn, plain and simple, and am currently ( sighs dejectedly) Clearence Level Six.

2) Can you please tell us about your origin and powers?

My powers are mutatgentic in base. I was born with the coding for my current powers already insterted into my DNA. I believe that I inherited my powers from my parents. I am able to heal supernaturally by touch and thought. I also have the ability to fire a type of cosmic and chemical radiation. My origin is a slightly contriversial topic. I am from twenty-six years in the future, teleported back in time through a cosmic rift. ( shrugs) That's all I can give you for now.

3) Please tell us about any hobbies or interests you might have?

Well, Science is a big interest of mine. I was studying Bio-Genetics. I am also interested in Art. I enjoy painting and drawing. Other hobbies I have usually involve sports. I like swimming, rock climbing, volleyball, softball, anything outdoors and physical.

4)How would you describe yourself?

Hhhmmm...how would I describe myself. I know how others have. ( taps her finger against her lips) I guess I am very ambitious. I like to push myself past my limits. I'm a thrill-seeker, hence the sports, I guess. I have big shoes to fill, so I throw myself into my work. I would rather suffer then have my teamates or friends suffer. I don't have a lot to lose so I guess I'm self-sacrificing. Oh yeah, apparently I am highly stubborn.

5) Do you think you are easy to get along with?

Yeah, I think I am easy to get along with. I maybe quiet sometimes and I'm not very funny but I'm an overall nice person. I don't have problems with others unless they are disrespectful or incrediably stupid, like lacking common sense stupid. I have a short fuse when it comes to people like that. But other than that I am a friendly and caring person.

6) Please tell us a little about one of your recent missions?

Well, since I got bumped back down to a starting hero because of the whole time-traveling, I was asked to help a fellow new hero tackle some Vahzilok that were spotted in the sewers. It went very well.

7) Why do you wish to appear on Big Brother: Heroes?

Well....a couple of the people at G.I.F.T. thought it would be a good experience for me, though actually I think they believe it would be funny to see me interact with your technologically imparied time frame. Also they thought the whole back from the future thing would make the show very interesting. It's not like I have to worry about anybody recognizing me. ( chuckles)

8) What do you think you will be able to bring to the Big Brother house?

Intrigue?! Come on, I'm from ( makes whooo noises and wiggles her fingers at the camera) THE FUTURE!!!! Honestly I do not know what I'll bring. Moodiness, a troubled past life? (chuckles) It's hard to tell until I get around others. I usually find my niche, picking up slack from someone.

9) What would you do if you win Big Brother Heroes?

(blinks and scratches at her head) There's a prize for this? No wonder there were so many reruns of these reality shows. Now I know why they were so popular. It was about the money. Well, if there is money involved it does me no good, espeically if I find a way back home. I guess I'd give the money to the school systems to help the underfunded Arts and Sciences. Wow, I should try out for Miss America with that one. ( chuckles)

10) (( I am usually on everyday at least...how sad! ))

11) (( I wouldn't mind, but I'll leave that to you, Stu!))

Thank You for your time.We will contact you in a few days to let you know the success of your audition. Good Luck.

Kegen stands with a chuckle. " Right, success!!!" She shakes her head and leaves the booth.

((Great stuff. A few of these have had me laughing already and I'm starting to see where combinations of characters and their personalities could clash in some way ))

A short young woman enters the both. She stands a little under 5 feet tall, with white skin and hair, and pale blue eyes. Her attire is simple and straightforward: a modest black dress, simple black shoes, and a pair of glasses.

“Welcome and thank you for auditioning for Big Brother: Heroes. We will answer you a series of questions. Please answer them truthfully.

1) Please state your name and security level.

"Micaela Allister. I have no hero name as of yet, and my highest security level is fourty-four."

2) Can you please tell us about your origin and powers?

"Origin? You mean my tragic history and swearing revenge on the criminals who did this to me? Or how I was an ostracised mutant, and have dedicated my life to protecting those who scorned me? Or perhaps the freak accident which left me with laser eyes and the ability to salt food perfectly? Nope, none of that for me. Simply a magnanimous individual with more than a little technological know-how. As for powers, that's more determined by my toys than me. If MacGuyver were a short albino chick, he'd be me. Or something . . ."

3) Please tell us about any hobbies or interests you might have?

"Well, I've spent a little time studying magic and its interactions with technology - from a totally analytic perspective, mind you. Other than that, most of my time is spentdeveloping devices right out of a sci-fi novel or fighting crime. Or killing time on one pet project or another . . ."

4) How would you describe yourself?

"Well, I'm guessing you don't mean appearance-wise, so . . . I'm basically your standard run-of-the-mill child prodigy, only grown up a little. I generally keep to myself, but don't mind company. I have a tendency towards biting sarcasm, but some people have told me that I get rather venomous at times. And, yeah, that's pretty much me in a nutshell.

5) Do you think you are easy to get along with?

"I like to think so. It's pretty hard to get on my nerves, and my temper is usully brief when it flares up. My . . . unique . . . brand of humor might make it difficult for tohers to get along with me, however . . ."

6) Please tell us a little about one of your recent missions?

"Well, let's see . . . classified, classified, classified, classified . . . no, that one's classified, too . . . yeah, that'll have to do. Not too long ago, myself and some fellow members of the Twilight Crusaders made an excursion into the Shadow Shard. I can't tell yuo much, but suffice to say, it was some nasty business with the Nemesis and Circle of Thorns. I guess what they say is true: 'If you've done something right, it's hard to tell if you've done anything at all.'"

7) Why do you wish to appear on Big Brother: Heroes?

"Frankly? Because I have nothing better to do. things are relatively quiet, even on the interdimensional level, and, if I win, the money that goes to charity will be more than anything I could proably do in the same amount of time elsewhere."

8) What do you think you will be able to bring to the Big Brother house?

"A smile, witty banter, the ability to make a transdimensional radio with some chewing gum and duct tape . . . you know, the usual."

9) What would you do if you win Big Brother Heroes?

"Uhm . . . what kind of a question is that? I don't know, donate the money tot he charity of my choice, like the ads said? Give myself a pat on the back? I think I'd pretty much get back to living my life. I dunno . . . "

10) ((OOC question: How regularly can/do you post?))

((I can post once a day or more, as I visit the boards that often. I have a tendency to lurk at times, but I'm perfectly able to post.))

11) ((OOC question: Do you wish to be picked?))

((Sure. This could be amusing.))

The curtains to the booth parted and a pair of horns walked in. (we say horns, because they were attatched to a helmet that was just barely visible to the camera. Actually one of the horns caught the curtain. There was some low grumbling, and a mailed hand disengaged the curtain from the horn.

"Wha? How in da name of de Earthmother am I s'pposed to reach all'ta way up there?" came a thickly accented voice. "Hm... I's guess I'm goin' ta have ta fix that!" the curtain parted, and the horns left.

From outside there was the sound of pitched combat. There was a dull thud and a Helion crashed through the curtain. The Hellion's boot had partially obsured the camera, but the curtains parted, and the horns returned once again. This time the mailed hand moved the foot out of the way, and there came loud groan as a face came into view of the camera.

Underneathe the horned helmet was a person who looked like they were ripped out of a fairy tale. He seemed to be the epitiome of "dwarven" with his long brown flowing beard and earthen complexion. He looked down at, presumeably, the hellion, "Aie, stop complain'n, I dinnae kick ya that hard." He looked at the screen, and rubbed his thich mustache, "Bah... it be one of them magic boxes." He took his helmet off and set it down onto something (presumeably not the Hellion) "Hmmm... If'n I remember correctly I should press that thang." he pressed the button that started the application process.

“Welcome and thank you for auditioning for Big Brother: Heroes. We will answer you a series of questions. Please answer them truthfully."

The dwarf scratched his head, "Ye be making some funny names for housing." The voice continued on, "1) Please state your name and security level."

The dwarf cleared his throat, "Meh name be Arden Deepforge. What ta heck is a security level? Sound important." Arden pulled a pouch off his belt, "Maybe it be one of these fancy things they gave me. Ah... It says I be 19."

The voice chimed in, "thankyou. 2) Can you please tell us about your origin and powers?"

Ardan snorted, "Where did I come from? Well... I was born, ye know when a man and a woman... get tagether... they... well ye get ta picture. Hmmm... powers? Meh powers are from ta Earthmother, which for ta most part, seem to deal wit stone, not tat I complain."

"3) Please tell us about any hobbies or interests you might have?"

"Well... I like me drink, but I like me axe. It be a toss up between ta two."

"4) How would you describe yourself?"

"I like me axe and me drink, how much betta can I git?"

"5) Do you think you are easy to get along with?"

"Aie, I be very easy ta get along wit."

"6) Please tell us a little about one of your recent missions?"

"Hmmm... well tha be that one time in that Hellion base. I's got to throw'n down, and Hellion's was fly'n all over ta place. And then there was this guy called Inferno or sometink. He flipped a few flames at me before I got throught wit him."

"7) Why do you wish to appear on Big Brother: Heroes?"

"Well, I dinnae see any difference from meh and ta other people."

"8) What do you think you will be able to bring to the Big Brother house?"

"Well me axe! How many time must I say it?"

"9) What would you do if you win Big Brother Heroes?"

"Win?"

"10) ((OOC question: How regularly can/do you post?))"

About once per pay, maybe more, but might be less.

"11) ((OOC question: Do you wish to be picked?))"

I guess, it would be fun.

"Thank you for your time. We will contact you in a few days to let you know the success of your audition. Good luck."

Arden shrugged, "It be an odd way to advertise house'n, but I ain't gonna be ta one to complain," put his helmet back on his head, and dragged the Hellion out the curtains as he left.

Yeah, Arden just isn't one of those magic box types.

A rather short skinhead with pale skin passed one of the booths while on his way to get some food. He was in a simple hooded jacket and baggy pants, looking like a civilian. Curious about what new thing heroes were getting into these days, KC Titan entered the booth.

“Welcome and thank you for auditioning for Big Brother: Heroes. We will answer you a series of questions. Please answer them truthfully.

1) Please state your name and security level.

"Uh...Ash, L 7." He was short answered and hesitant. "Oh you mean hero name. That is KC Titan."

2) Can you please tell us about your origin and powers?

"Um...well, I don't really remember how I got here, but from what my mentor told me, I was extracted me from a big 70 foot tall robot while he was in another country and I was brought back for treatment, where it was discovered I was part mechanical...so I guess technology as I'm part machine now. As for my powers, it goes with that being half robot. I've got these energy tanks inside my arms, and I can use it to augment my punches. Also my machine enhancements allow me to take more of a beating than a normal person. Not sure how much further it can take me right now though..."

3) Please tell us about any hobbies or interests you might have?

"I like to eat if that counts, working with gadgets really interests me. Does that work?"

4) How would you describe yourself?

How would I describe myself? Ash paused for a moment. "I'm white, no hair, gray eyes, part machine. Oh and I'm very curious."

5) Do you think you are easy to get along with?

"I haven't had any fights with non-criminals if that counts."

6) Please tell us a little about one of your recent missions?

"Um...Ok there was this one time in Atlas Par this warehouse was filled with these little mechanichal guys, I think they're called Clockwork. Apparently they were all waiting at the entrance because when I entered they all attacked me. After a big throwdown I came out standing and they were in pieces at my feet. After searching the rest of the warehouse, it was clear they were all at the entrance when I defeated them. Thought that was pretty interesting."

7) Why do you wish to appear on Big Brother: Heroes?

"To meet new people?" He wasn't really asking a question, just unsure of what exactly to say. Feeling more certain about his response, "Yea...definitely want to meet new people."

8) What do you think you will be able to bring to the Big Brother house?

"I think I'll be able to bring an unbiased opinion to any problem. I think that would be really helpful."

9) What would you do if you win Big Brother Heroes?

"There's a prize huh? Well, I'll probably not get to keep it so...proably help the homeless population get out of the sewers...they get really scary when they go down there."

10) ((OOC question: How regularly can/do you post?))

((you know me. forum lurking junky...once a day is my MIN unless something really important is happening.))

11) ((OOC question: Do you wish to be picked?))

((Up to you Stu, if you see a place for me to fit, then go ahead, I won't feel bad if I'm not picked.))

Thank you for your time. We will contact you in a few days to let you know the success of your audition. Good luck.”

A raised eyebrow (or would be if there was any hair) and a shrug was his only expression as he exited the booth and continued to walk down the street.

It is late, and the streets quiet, when a shadowy figure slinks furtively into the booth. Dressed in a dark coat, with a baseball cap pulled down over his eyes, he pauses for a moment, listening intently to make sure there is no one close by.

Finally relaxing, he takes off his cap to reveal tousled dark hair, which he runs his hands through a few times in a futile attempt to tame. Giving up, he manipulates the machine, then settles back in the chair for the questions.

1) Please state your name and security level.
Uh.. name's Jason. Galt. Security level 50, though that's apparently under review because of that incident last week with the temporary disappearance of the Galaxy Girl statue. Which they think had to do with me. But whatever. It should still be 50 when this show runs. Maybe 49. Let's just say 49.

2) Can you please tell us about your origin and powers?
Origin? I could get into the details, but I didn't realize this was -that- kind of show. I mean, I come from where most babies come from, that good enough?
And my powers... well, I can hold my breath really well. And tie a cherry stem into a knot with my tongue. And I can read, and write, and sometimes I even do laundry. Other than that, some minor dreamstuff manipulation, nothing special.

3) Please tell us about any interests or hobbies you might have.
I like kicking butt for justice, but I'm a hero, so you probably already know that. I like.. regular stuff, I guess. Drinking, partying, hanging out with friends. And Air Soccer. Which is this really cool game we came up with. It's like... well, soccer, but way in the air. So it's totally three-dimensional and stuff, and obviously, only for people who fly. But ... it's really cool.

4) How would you describe yourself?
Awesome comes to mind, but understatement really isn't my thing. I mean, seriously, what kind of question is this? Okay, I'm would describe myself as .... a kumquat.

5) Do you think you are easy to get along with?
It really depends on who's trying. I know a bunch of Freakshow dudes, used to talk to them when they were working downtown at Kroger's, now they scream bloody murder everytime they see me. On the other hand of the spectrum, I know my gramma thinks I'm great.

6) Please tell us a little about one of your recent missions?
Hmm.. oh! This really funny thing did happen recently. One of my collegues got a lead about yet another one of those front-companies the Prussian Prince of Automatons likes to set up. So, since I'd just beat Halo2 for the billionth time, I thought it'll be fun to go check this place out with him. I mean, I wasn't expecting it to be a real lead. Turns out, place was full of soldiers, much craziness was had. Now, it's all routine butt-kicking. Then, we come across a storage area, with cryogenic freezing units. I kinda knew what to expect, because I've seen similar installations in other Nemesis bases. But apparently, my friend didn't. He opens it, sees a bunch of disembodied grey matter, and passes out. My friend, the tanker, capable to standing unyielding before hordes of ninjas and aliens and bears, fainting from the sight of a fridge full of brains.
So yeah, I just thought that was hilarious.

7) Why do you wish to appear on Big Brother: Heroes?
Money, fame, meeting girls, because my agent said it'll be good publicity, because Ben dared me to, how many more becauses could you need?

8) What do you think you will be able to bring to the Big Brother house?
Well, the female demographic -is- rather significant, and assuming more people watching the show is a good thing... I'm your man.
In addition, I think I'm more amusing that I am. Which makes for good TV too, no?

9) What would you do if you win Big Brother Heroes?
After the initial few years of using my TV celeb status to hook up with every possible chick in this hemisphere? Go back to saving the world and foiling evil, I suppose. I mean, what else can a man do?

As the questions stop, Jason looks vaguely disappointed that he did not get to talk more about himself. Sliding his hat back on, he entertains himself by spinning around in the chair for about five minutes, before leaving.

10) ((OOC question: How regularly can/do you post?))
Barring the apocalypse, probably at least once a day. Except weekends, maybe, sometimes. But once every two days at the very least.

11) ((OOC question: Do you wish to be picked?))
Yep. Been looking for an open RP thread to join, this one looks like good fun.

Candace peeked around the corner looking for Antonio. The hallway was empty. She faded into the shadows and quietly moved to the front door. Stepping outside Candi spotted the booth sitting outside city hall. Mustering up her courage she ducked inside. She sat down smoothing her skirt as she read the directions on the booth. Her platform heels hung above the floor as she leaned forward and pressed the activation button. An electronic voice piped up.

"Please state your name and security level."

"Candace Revere, but my nickname is Candi Raver, ummm....security level 20"

"Can you please tell us about your origin and powers?"

"Well I guess I'm a mutant. I woke up and there they were. I have some mental powers, Antonio calls it mind control but I dunno. I can also make people think they're feeling good and healing faster and then they do. I'm not quite sure how it works."

"Please tell us about any hobbies or interests you might have?"

"Well I like techno and raves but I have to be really careful because of the accident, so I don't go as much any more. For right now it's schoolwork. I know I'm boring."

"How would you describe yourself?"

"Confused. I was in a coma for a while and I don't remember much about anything before that. It's hard not knowing if someone you see in a restaurant was someone you knew or what you used to do or where you lived or anything. It's frustrating."

"Do you think you are easy to get along with?"

"I think so unless you're an idiot. I'm told I'm pretty sarcastic when I get annoyed but I don't see it really."

"Please tell us a little about one of your recent missions?"

"Oh my god, there was this stupid mission where they wanted me to go clear out this tattoo parlor and find these 'magic' tattoos. Yeah, right, 'magic' tattoos, I'm so sure, like they prolly just put LSD in the ink or something. So anyhow it's like really late at night and there was -no- backup. Talk about a pain in the butt. So I go in and there's Tsoo -all- over the place. I mean I can handle them but it takes -forever- whispering to Bob Tsoo to tell him that his buddy hates him and then waiting while they beat each other up so I can arrest them. Chasing those annoying sorcerors around when they teleport like a hundred yards away, ugh, next time I'm telling them they have to give me a partner so I don't have to stay up all night trying to finish these assignments when I've got fricken homework to do."

"Why do you wish to appear on Big Brother: Heroes?"

"Well the exposure actually. I'm hoping my parents will see me and contact me. I don't even know who they are and no one seems to be able to find them."

"What do you think you will be able to bring to the Big Brother house?"

"Ummmm, I'm not sure. Fun maybe? Sanity? Reason? I can't really answer this cause I don't know any of the other people, I mean like some people need someone to listen and others need a boot to the head, but like I don't what I'd do until I'm there."

"What would you do if you win Big Brother Heroes?"

"Well if nobody I used to know contacts the show, I know I'd give the money to the Paragon orphanage. No one should have to go through life without some sort of parents."

10) ((OOC question: How regularly can/do you post?))

At least once a day.

11) ((OOC question: Do you wish to be picked?))

Sure sounds like fun

Jason Caldwell had spent the night enjoying the evening with friends. It was the first time he had been out since his recent "inhabitance". It never left for too much time to do anything outside of his new profession. A profession which he came into doing the one thing he hated most - jogging. It had just been a nad night that night. Sometimes he wished his mother didn't teach him right.

He came out of a club running, shirt halfway on, while two others came running after him. He took off down the street and tunred right down a nearby alley. He sprinted toward the fence, jumping over trash and spinning off homelss people. For a drunk guy, he was doing pretty good as far as sense of direction and coordination went. The other two men came down the alley, chasing him. He felt a small rumble inside of him as he neared the fence and in secodns he was defying gravity and hovering over the fence. As he landed, small white-blue tendrils emitted from his body and faded when he touched ground. The men reached the fence and tried to climb, but stopped short at the barb wire at the top.

"Cheater," one of the men exclaimed.

Jason turned around laughing, "Yea... I know... but what can ya do? "

His question answered quickly as both men took a few steps back and ran full speed at the fence, clearing it with no issue.

"Oh sugar honey iced tea," Jason said and ran around the corner and opened the first door he came to. He closed it quietly so not to attract attention and a few minutes later, heard footsteps run by.

He sat down to look at his surroundings, "what the heck is this? A booth of some kind."

There was a small computer screen in front of him and a stool for him to sit on, "Big Brother? Hmm, I need to kill time anyway. Make sure they aren't still around. Let's see what my drunk [censored] can comprehend at this hour. 0o0o touch screen."

1) Please state your name and security level.
Umm, Jason Caldwell. Level 35 security level security...umm, crap...35.
2) Can you please tell us about your origin and powers?
Hmm, jogging, light, alien, BAM! Questions... oh yea
3) Please tell us about any hobbies or interests you might have?
Well what i USED to like doing, I did tonight. Hanging with my people. Having a good time. I also like extreme sports even though I don't do em. I love movies. I also like girl... does that count here... hmm, also i like racing and... gosh why does this have ti be so hard
4) How would you describe yourself?
Drunk, he laughed loudly at his answer but shushed himself and gave a paranoid look around to see if he was heard.
5) Do you think you are easy to get along with?
What's easy? I mean, I would suppose I am. I'm your typical common sense guy. I'll call out the stupid folks and meet and greet with anyone. I'll trust anyone till the give me a reason not to.
6) Please tell us a little about one of your recent missions?
Last one I did, some friends asked for my assistance in handling some Crey and boy did tap that a**. Man... it was crazy. Basically, I came in there and took care of a small group that had brought them down some. I was a great asset... heh, asset. But we completely it and then went and had pancakes.
7) Why do you wish to appear on Big Brother: Heroes?
Appear??? Appear where? Umm... crap what was the question? Oh...level 35 security level.
8) What do you think you will be able to bring to the Big Brother house?
Dang, I mean you know... the essentials. A toothbrush, toothpaste, some clothes, few books I guess. Don't know what for...stuff like that.
9) What would you do if you win Big Brother Heroes?
Is this almost over? He took a peek outside and saw that the coast was clear. The question repeated itself on the computer. What?? Alright, alright... I would uhh, come back the next day I guess to win again. Isn't that how these things work? Come back till you lose? Whatever
10) ((OOC question: How regularly can/do you post?))
Not sure how often per day, but I can say daily.
11) ((OOC question: Do you wish to be picked?))
Oh please Auntie Am, please oh please... nah. If I fit, let it be so. If I don't... IMMA CRASH IT ANYWAY.

Dynamo sat his black and yellow machine down on the bench of the dark, empty booth. The faux wasp wings retracted into the sides of the robot's neck. The white, warm glow of the window-eyes shined brightly on the camera lens. He was suprised that the machine didn't break the bench from the weight of its metal legs.

"I guess I should get outta this thing" he said in his buzz-like, droning voice, pressing a few buttons here and pulling a few levers there. With a hissing release, the face of his robot opened up to reveal his tiny wasp body inside. Dynamo fluttered out and hovered right in front of the shiny black lens. "Well, lets get this going" Dynamo mumbled.

"Please state your name and security level."

The automated voice startled him a bit and caused him to lose his balance a bit. He gathered himself and straightened himself out.
"Please state your name and security level!" the voice said again.

"Alright, alright! My name is Dynamo Wasp, my security level is twenty-three" said Dynamo in monotone, mimicing the voice.

The voice continued on to the next question. "Can you please tell us about your origin and powers?"

"Yes. I'm from the planet Rynoll seven, ruled by the mighty Hyv Empire. I was sent to Earth originally scouting for a lost starship, but was asked to stay during the Rikti invasion. I've been here ever since. My powers come completely from the robot I pilot. It can expel electric bolts up to a little over 120 billion volts, and use its own power core to build up its physical power. Outside of the robot, my only defense is my own stinger." Dynamo raised his front leg to his head and struck it. "Probably shouldn't have mentioned that", he thought.

"Please tell us about any hobbies or interests you might have." the voice boomed.

"Well let's see. I do enjoy a good book now and then, but i'm mostly interested in your planet's visual media. Er, TV as you call it. My real hobby would have to be taking care of my robot. A bit like how the human men enjoy fixing an automobile." he told the voice.

"How would you describe yourself?" the voice said.

"Wow, how would I describe myself? I'm not especially outgoing, people aren't really fond of hanging around what they refer to as an insect. I've been best described as a mellow and vacant individual, not many things rile me up. To be honest I don't know if I should take that as a compliment or an insult" Dynamo answered.

"Do you think you're easy to get along with?"

Dynamo thought for a moment. Then, he replied "Oh, most definitely. I've never had a problem with anyone, aside from criminals of course."

"Please tell us a little about one of your recent missions?"

"Well, let's see" he said, flicking his antennae around. "Just a few days ago I and a few other heroes helped Sister Psyche take out that Clamor woman. Quite a match that was. Two of us almost didn't make it back."

"Why do you wish to appear on Big Brother: Heroes?" the voice asked.

"To be honest, i'd like to represent the non-human heroes out there. There are quite a few of us, but we're not featured much. I suppose I am a little jealous." Dynamo replied.

"What do you think you will be able to bring to the Big Brother house?" the voice said.

"Well, I uh" Dynamo stopped. "What can I bring?" he thought to himself. He started to speak again. "I am an excellent negotiator, or so i've been told. If an argument were to break out, I may just be able to resolve it."

The voice asked yet another question. "What would you do if you win Big Brother Heroes?"

Dynamo responded with a quick "I have no idea."

The voice instantly responded "Thank you for your time. We will contact you in a few days to let you know the success of your audition. Good luck.”

"Huh, I wonder if I did well." Dynamo thought to himself as he flew back into the robot's face. With a few quick button presses the face closed in the same hissing manner as before. "Guess I'll have to wait." Dynamo opened the curtain, and stepped out.
He popped his wing cape out from the sides of the robot's neck, and took off.

((I can post pretty dang regularly, I just didn't have a reason to before. To be honest this would be my first time using an RP forum, i'm mostly used to chatroom style.))

((Sorry for not getting back to this sooner I had a lot happening this weekend. The audition stage is now closed and I will start going through the entries. I have to admit I am not looking forward to deciding who gets in and who does not because I do not want to turn people away. I want you all to know it will only be because of number limits that some people may not get in. Hopefully if work does not get too crazy tomorrow I should have the results by then.))

((Ok. This post is the start of the Big Brother: Heroes TV show. I am afraid if you have not already got a PM from me you did not make it through to the game show. If people don't show up then spaces might come free.

I want everyone to know I enjoyed all the posts and I did not enjoy making the decision at all but I wanted to keep it small. If you did not get picked it is nothing ageist you or your work I promise. I was looking at which characters would clash the most.

So, Big apologize if you did not get in (feel free to PM if you want to) and on with the show.))

“Hello and welcome to the first live broadcast offfffff….” He held the last word to make it more dramatic. “…Big Brother: Heroes! That’s right it all starts here, this very night. I’m your host Zacky Ganmain” He started walking thought the studio as he spoke in his animated, enthusiastic way. The camera man was trying not to trip over cables as he walked backwards to keep ahead of Zack and keep him in frame.

“In just a few moment we will be meeting the heroes who will be taking part but first I will tell you a little about the rules. Each hero has only been allowed to bring the essentials into the Big Brother house. That means clothes, medication if any, hygiene essentials, all that kind of stuff.” He counted each item on his fingers as he said them.

“They are allowed to bring one personal item into the house, just one. It can be anything but electronic items are not allowed. That means no phones, no computers and defiantly not anything that would allow them to contact the out side world.”

He clapped his hands together. “Now with the formalities over let me show you the house. This is the lounge. Out through the glass doors is the garden and pool area. Over there is the open plan kitchen.” He pointed past the camera. “You will notice there is a TV here in the lounge but that is only so we can communicate with the heroes. They don’t actually get to watch TV.”

“Over to my left is the boy’s bedroom and to the left of the kitchen is the girl’s bedroom. N between is the bathroom.” He walked to each room as he mentioned them and let the camera shoe the inside. “And of course behind the kitchen is the dairy room where heroes can talk to us and you the views away from the other heroes in the house.”

“Now I better take you back to the studio because our heroes will be arriving soon.” He started to lead the camera man back to the studio at a jog. Out side a crowed had gathered and started cheering and waving there signs as soon as they saw the TV camera. Zack stopped to work up the crowed on his way back to the studio.

When they were back inside the studio the sound died down as the doors were closed. The studio was only 100 meters away from the house itself. The crowed out side could still see Zack on the big TV screen outside.

“Ok…” He put his finger to his ear as he listened to his ear peace. “I’ve just been told our heroes are arriving so put you hands to gather and welcome them.” The crowed out side roared again and Zack had to shout out the names. “Etherburn. Micaela Allister. Varon Volt. Crystal Cold. Samantha Spark. Arden Deepforge. Ash and Jason Galt. Welcome to the big brother house.”

The heroes were let out of another part of the studio by the floor manager. Their route took the past the screaming crowd as the floor manger guided them towards the house but gave them enough time to interact with the crowd.

((I’ve actually used the lay out from the first English Big Brother. Here is the map. Feel free to use any of the locations that Zack might have forgot to mention and make your entries as you wish.))

"Alright, Checklist!" Varon declared loudly, both Samantha and Crystal standing at attention in front of him with bags draped around their shoulders. Varon held a large scroll of paper in his hands, which he began reading in a loud, clear voice.
"Toothbrushes?" Varon asked.
"Check!" Crystal said, taking out the dental hygeine and presenting it to Varon.
"Shampoo?" Varon continued.
"Got it!" Samantha declared, taking out a plethora of multi-colored bottles from one of her bags.
"Shaving gear?" Varon asked.
"Right here!" Crystal said, taking out a large bottle of shaving cream and a small razor blade from her bag.
"Rubber Ducky?" Varon asked.
"Accounted for!" Crystal and Samantha said at the same time, taking out the exact same bathtime toy from their bags in perfect unison.
"Alright!" Varon yelled, tossing his scroll aside. "Now all we need is our personal items and we'll be all set!"
Varon closed his eyes, pride determination filling his face. "I know that this experience will be a great asset to us on our future missions! It fills my heart with joy to know that soon, the three of us will-" Varon opened his eyes to find that the girls were no longer in front of him. "HEY! Where did you two go?" Looking around, Varon found the girls had moved to the living area of the apartment, where their eyes were glued to the T.V. screen.
"Well, I'm truly shocked, girls!" Varon said, crossing his arms over his chest. "I thought you were serious about this, that it was a joint effort between all of us to participate in this media endeavor and-"
"Varon, isn't that the reality show that we're supposed to be a part of being shown right now?" Crystal asked, gesturing towards the T.V. screen.
"Huh?" Varon looked over at the T.V. to see the face of Zacky Ganmain introducing the show to a live audience. Varon's eyes widened in shock. "It's starting NOW?! Why weren't we told about this?!"
"Well, we were..." Samantha said, moving to the computer in the living area of the apartment. Opening the internet, Samantha opened the E-Mail that informed the group of their approval from auditioning.
"You know I only use that thing once a week!" Varon said.
Crystal moved over to the phone in the living area, pressing a button on the answering machine. Immediately, several messages repeating the exact same approval in the E-Mail sounded through the apartment, most of them from Zack himself. Samantha then showed Varon a slew of faxes that also informed him of the approval.
"Well..." Varon chuckled nervously and rubbed his head from a moment. Then, he clenched his fists and took a more serious tone. "That's not important right now! What's important is that we get to that show ASAP!"
"But how are we going to do that?" Crystal asked nervously. "It's starting right now!"
"The same way we always get someplace when we're in a rush." Varon said with an inward smile. "Girls, grab my hands and hold on tight!" Varon extended his hand to each of his teammates, and they each took one of Varon's hands as his body began to flow with electricity.
"You're incredible, Varon!" Samantha cheered.
"You're so smart, Varon!" Crystal agreed.
In the next instant, Varon was out the door and down the staircase of their apartment building, and a second later he was out the door of the building entirely, dragging his two screaming teammates with him (careful not to lose his grip on them, of course).
In no time at all, the three arrived at the big premiere of Big Brother: Heroes.
"Now, where is it we're supposed to go, anyway?" Varon asked, slowing down his pace. Crystal and Samantha groaned and wobbled around slightly, still quite dizzy from the trip.
Varon saw what could only be a bunch of other Heroes being led through to the main house by one of the show's officials.
"That's it! Let's go girls!" Varon said, taking the girls for a ride once more. This time, however, it was really a "trip" for the three... literally.
"WHOOP!" Varon yelled out as his feet gave way, and the three crashed passed the other Heroes who were being guided towards the house, finally stopping in a heap in front of the crowd of people lining up to see the Heroes enter. Miraculously, the team's bags remained intact.
"Ha ha!" Varon declared, quickly jumping to his feet, several bandages on his body. "The Trio has arrived!" He declared loudly, striking a pose.
"Isn't he the best?" Crystal and Samantha asked the crowd in unison, already on their feet and standing on oppposite sides of Varon, gesturing to him as a game-show hostess would gesture toward a prize. Varon struck a few more poses as his two teammates looked on, stars in their eyes.
The crowd was silent for only a moment. Then, they erupted in applause.

((I'm glad this has finally started ))

Arden Deepforge was talking with the Police Chief of Skyway. Mainly about him busting up the Trolls and their little Superdyne cartel. The Chief looked at his clipboard, "Thanks Arden, you did good. We might be able to squeeze out who their supplier is, in that case we will most likely need your assistance again." Arden smiled and nodded, "Aie, it be only wat I kin do. These Trolls aren't like ta ones back home, but they fight better then them Hellions." The Chief inwardly sighed, no sane person he knew of except Arden willingly tangled with the Trolls, and said it was fun. The Chief snapped his fingers, "Oh yeah, one of your old contacts stopped by, they asked me to give you this," he handed Arden an envelope, "It appears that you..." the rest was caught off by Arden saying (rather loudly), "By the Earthmother! I'm late!"

Arden seemed to melt away from the Chief. In reality he wasn't there, and was already tearing off towards the studio at sub-light speed. Arden often joked that many people didn't think that a dwarf could move that fast.

Victor Mohan was known as Flare to the Hellions. He wasn't a particularly good hellion, nor was he a smart one. Victor had just broken out of the Zig through the sewer system, gotten lost, and ended up in skyway. Irratated, he decided that he was going to make somebody else's day miserable that way he could gloat over his own power. Alas, this was to be short lived.

Victor found an old lady walking from somewhere, Perfect Target. She was alone, Even Better. He approached and pulled out a knife, "Alright Grandma, give me the purse" The old ladies eyes widened with fear, then with confusion. The Hellion dissapeared with a explosion of curses, but there wasn't anybody herowise in sight. Shrugging, the old lady continued back to her house.

Something almost yanked Arden's Helmet off. not to be deprived of a vital part of his armor Arden reached up and steadied the helm, but didn't stop running.

Varon was still standing and doing poses when Arden decended upon them, well approached would be a better way of saying it, except approached implies caution. Arden skidded to a stop, sending a spray of pebbles that, thankfully, landed before they got near anybody.

So, there Arden stood. A short stocky dwarf, with a long brown flowing beard that rested on a full suit of medieval style armor. On his back was a large axe, forged of some silver-white metal. But the axe wasn't what everybody was looking at, for snagged on one of his helmet's horns was a hellion that mumbling to himself, "Please god make it stop..." Arden disengaged his helmet from Victor's jacket, and Victor started to walk about on wobbly feet. He swayed to the left, then swayed to the right, then immeadiately broke off into a disjointed stumble-run and horked over the edge of a fence. Arden walked up to Victor, "Aie laddie, ye dont be a look'n too good." He slapped a hospital tag on the man.

The announcer cleared his throat, "Arden Deepforge!" there was a loud yell from the crowd.

Kegen rubbed at her eyes as she stared into the mirror, wiping a hand across the condensation on it. She yawned widely at her reflection as she began to brush her teeth. She turned her head checking her profile, happy to see that the bruise was gone. It wouldn't be good if she started the show all banged up. She finished up and gather her tolietrees and dropped them into the black duffle bag that sat on the hotel bed. She ran the brush as few more times through her long deep auburn hair and sighed.

"Why...or why did I let them talk me into this," she grumbled as she zipped the bag up.

She slipped out of the towel and pressed a button on her unusal black wristwatch. She closed her eyes breifly against the flash of light as she summoned her quantuim plated battle suit. The ultra-light black and neon green metallic suit flowed over her body and solidified, encasing her within it's skin tight yet comfortable confines. She slipped the black and green winged headpiece on and stared in the mirror. She flexed the her hands, watching the robotic-like guantlets move too. She smiled into the mirror trying to pratice what she was going to give to the crowds.

Always make a good first impression, no matter what. Be who they want. She heard her grandfather's voice echo in her head.

She flashed a dazzling smile into the mirror, showing her small dimples and the sprinkle of little freckles across her carmel-colored cheeks. She shook her head and sighed.

You are special, my little gift from the gods. Always remember that. Be who you are. The memory of her mother's voice surfaced in her mind.

She frowned, feeling the saddness rise inside of her. She glanced at the clock and cursed. She flung the bag over her shoulder and darted out the door. She ran down the hall and slid down the railing on the stairs, surprising one of the maids as she began her day.

Kegen leapt off and charged the front desk. " Bye Gil. Here you go. See you soon, maybe," she replied as she tossed the key on the counter.

With a slight wave, she pushed through the lobby doors and surged down the street, dodging and weaving through the people that were going about their day. She shouted apologies as she bumped people with her duffle bag. She continued her surging run, enjoying the feel of the breeze against her face as she effortlessly continued her trek to the Big Brother House. She cut through an alley, vaulting a few fences smoothly. She heard the screams of the crowds expload in her hyper-acute ears like a gunshot. She winced and skidded around a corner. She clamored up a fire escape and began to leap gracefully from rooftop to rooftop. She stopped and stared down at the screaming masses that lined the walkway to the house, cheering and hooting at four of the heroes that had already made their appearences. She shook her head again.

"Chris, you owe my so big for this, and I'm not counting the fact that I'm going to save your son's butt from a Freakshow ambush in twenty years," she sighed to herself.

She secured the backpack and took a few steps back, judging the distance. She took a deep breath and then surged ahaead as fast as she could. She hit the edge of the building and launched herself off, using her ability to fly to give her an extra push. She spread her arms out as she plummited towards the group. She counted under her breath as the concrete rose up to meet her. She smiled happily to herself as her trejectory was going to put her directly in front of the guy being displayed like a gameshow prize by two women. She smirked as she noticed the stares up at her. She somersulted over him and landed perfectly in a crouch. She flipped her head up, throwing her long redwood hair behind her, showing her sparkling hazel eyes. She smiled excitedly, her heart still racing from the thrill of it as she stood up infront of Varon.

" Hope I'm not late," she replied, placing her guantleted hands on her hips and glances over her should to the trio behind her.

" Etherburn, folks," a voice annouced.

She smirked and started to walk towards the house, waving at the crowds. She stopped to look at the very short man. "Nice helm."

There was a great thrumming, a deep vibratory resonance that started and begun to swell. At the same time, the skies darkened, a deepening shadow falling across the assembled crowd. As the gloom and the sound intensified, a few of the curious looker-ons started to panic, and there were scattered screams and clattering noises and muttered curses and some tried to run. The twilight became darkest night, the music reached a crescendo, there was a fluttering of wings, and out of that howling madness, a voice:

"Ta dah."

As the sunlight returns, a young man, dressed in a t-shirt (featuring The Falumpin Oranges, The Worst Band Ever) and jeans, stands amidst the gaping journalists and amused heroes, grinning from ear to ear. As his massive shadow-wings fade and burn away in the returning light, Jason Galt hefts a bag over his shoulder, flashes a million-watt smile at the crowd and his fellow contestants (presumably, given the odd costumes and funny dress sense, and OH DEAR GOD a dwarf?), then saunters off towards the house.

Ash saw no reason to be flashy. He glanced in the mirror again. He looked like a robot with his armors on, but that was how the nanites operated. He adjusted his hood and jacket once more, then proceeded to exit the studio. So far the six other heroes all seemed to make dazzling entrances. All had been flashy. He manipulated the two energy tanks in his calves to propel him upwards as he flew over to meet the others. Inside his duffel bag was a very important item that Rick Davies helped him build: his charger. He nodded to the other heroes.

"Ash!" the announcer's voice called out. There was a short acknowledgement of him before the crowd returned to cheering on others. Ash suppressed an eye-roll as he turned and walked towards the house. Thoughts and questions filled his head as he pushed the thoughts down to focus on a single task.

"In other news today, the Freedom Phalanx successfully infiltrated a Circle of Thorns base. In a press conference following the mission, Statesman described the mission as..."
Varon was laying on the floor, eagerly following the tale of his favorite Hero team.
"Varon, it's time for dinner!" Varon's mother called from the kitchen. After several minutes, Varon's mother walked into the living area and shut off the T.V. "Come on, Varon. You're food's getting cold."
"Ah, Mom!" Varon complained, jumping to his feet. "They were just getting to the good part!"
"I'm sure it will still be there AFTER you finish eating." Varon's mother shooed her son into the kitchen, where Varon quickly took his seat.
"Why don't you ever force Dad to come to dinner like this?" Varon asked, quickly wolfing down his meal.
Varon's mother was silent for just a moment, then smiled. "Varon, you know that your father has very important work to do. Alot of very important people are relying on his work, and it would be wrong to interrupt him while he's busy."
"How come I never see him on T.V., then?" Varon asked, looking up from his plate. "If his work is so important, and helps so many people, why isn't he ever on T.V.? Statesman and the other Heroes help others all the time, but Dad helps people and no one else knows it!" Varon looked back down at his food. "It's not fair."
Varon's mother smiled and moved her chair closer to her son, wrapping her arm around Varon's shoulder. "Varon, just because your father isn't on T.V. doesn't mean what he does isn't important. The Heroes that you see on T.V. are amazing, yes, but believe it or not, your father is working on things that are even more amazing than what the Heroes are doing!"
"Really?" Varon asked, looking into his mother's eyes.
"Yes, Varon." Varon's mother squeezed Varon lightly in a warm hug. "Now, come on, finish your dinner."
Varon continued his meal, smiling to himself.
When I grow up... Varon thought to himself, I'm going to be a scientist, just like Dad.

"We're here!" Varon announced, barging through the front door of the Big Brother house. "Our home away from home for the coming weeks, at last!"
"That's great, Varon!" Samantha said as happily as she could, trembling under the weight of the bags around her shoulders.
"Can we pick out our room now, Varon?" Crystal asked, also shaking as a result of carrying heavy bags.
"Of course, but first..." Varon smiled as the other Heroes filed into the house. "We MUST formally introduce ourselves!"
"That's a great idea, Varon!" Crystal laughed, dropping the bags to the floor with a loud THUD!
"You always know just what to do, Varon!" Samantha agreed, also dropping her load.
Crystal and Samantha jumped in front of the other Heroes who had just entered the house.
"Hello, my name is Crystal Cold!" Crystal said, twirling about and striking a pose.
"And my name is Samantha Spark!" Samantha said, also twirling about and striking a pose perfectly symetrical to Crystal's.
Varon yelled loudly and jumped in between the girls, striking an incredible pose himself. "And I'm Varon Volt, and together we are..."
"The Trinity!" The three Heroes said in unison, extending their hands in friendship.
"And it is our pleasure to welcome you five..." Varon stopped for a moment, counted the number of other Heroes and scratched his chin with his hand. "Hmm... you four? Wasn't there supposed to be one more Hero in this house?"

Ash had already picked his bed by the time the Trio was doing their flashy introduction. "If its agreeable to the other men, I'll take the bed against the wall closest to the door. I need to be close to an outlet while I sleep."

He looked onto the Trio that seemed confused. There were only seven standing here. He had dropped his bag on the claimed bed before walking out to greet the others. The circuitry on his exposed armor (face, hands, feet) shot across in all directions as he moved, showing the signals going back and forth. "There is one female missing. She is probably running late like most of us were. I'm Ash, by the way."

Kegen was walking around the house, checking out all the rooms to get a feel for the place. She noticed the pale young man head into the boy's dorm. She was heading back through the living room when she was assulated by the trio. She winced and threw her hands up over her ears as the girl's screeched their names and spun about in poses, almost clocking her. The sudden noise shocked her since she wasn't expecting it.

She glowered at the group as Varon jumped in to strike his pose. "You've got to be kidding me. Why do I feel like I'm stuck in an super cheery yet horrible anime with these three," she grumbled under her breath as she focused her super sensitive hearing so not to be surprised again.

She shifted her weight and straightened her duffel bag with a look of dawning horror. Aww crap. I have to share a dorm with those cheerleaders. Why, oh why did I agree to this?! she silently cursed.

She heard Ash approach before he spoke. Her ears picked up the electronic hum of his circuits. She glanced at him as her hazel eyes moved over his form, studying quickly but picking up every detail. She chuckled to herself as she realized what she was doing. KC always told her she had an eye for details, but she couldn't decide if Kegen's eye was that of an artist or of a cop.

" Hi Ash," she smiled warmly at the boy, flashing her dimples as she extended her hand to him, " I'm Etherburn."

She glanced around at the others, her observant gaze falling over all of them. She quriked an eyebrow at the fairly attractive man who appeared in a cloak of darkness with wings of smoke. What was his name...Jason? Yeah he was introduced as Jason. She felt the light pull of a small smile on her lips. Maybe this won't be to bad...well aside from the Trinity.

"Well once the last person gets here we can get this show on the road, I guess," she replied to the group.
