Who are you really
Who are you again?
Well heck I guess it's my turn. I just come across this thread cause I too am lazy and dont look at all of the threads all the time.
I am 29yrs old and work Fire/Rescue in Sunny Southern California.
I have a beautiful 9 yr old daughter and a HUGE handsome 8 month old son.
It's great to see all the faces of the people who play here and run by me as I am usually faceplanted somewhere. LOL
Pictures to come, I am answering this thread at work on the down time and will edit when I get home.
Very cool thread BTW!!!

With a little imagination and some free time, someone could just ...oh...make up a bio/post for these people. A really good one might get a reward.

After last month I'm almost sorry I answered that post by xpp, keeping detailed information about yourself Secluded....aside for close, well known friends.... is not a bad thing in the cyber world.

Aye, very much so.
Here's an old Pic of me.
Honestly, I still dont think this post is a bad idea. It goes a long ways towards our community feel. We folks just need to be careful what information we share. Yknow keep away from the specifics (names, company where you work, etc.). Yes there are folks here who know my actual name (and I trust em with it, otherwise they wouldnt have it), and if theyre observant, probably know where I work. But again, I trust these folks. Ive interacted with em for a while, and theyve earned my trust.

i look at it like this im a used car dealer im on cable TV on radio and in the newspaper i cant go out in public in my area without people recognizing me. i choose to put myself there so by putting your name here yes you will get people that will say hey you live near me etc. panther shade lives 25 miles from me but im not goin to go visit him as i dont play with him. maxamilli0n lives 2.5 hours away an i play a lot with max but im not goin to drive out to meet him. in all of lifes roles you will have people that you dont want to interact with.
this thread is used to let people know who we are. and to share what we want with our fellow champion heros.
tellin someone a little about ourselves is an option.
i look at it like this you can hide in this world or stand out

And, I still feel rejected by both of these facts.
<sniff> <sniff>
I still keep forgetting if PS is male or female since the toon gender is "none of the above." Makes it real hard to describe things that happened in teams though.

Well, for the most part, when i tell people about me i get 1 of 2 reactions. They either apologize and give me condolences and get really serious and depressed, or they don't believe me and give me an incredible amount of grief over it. The latter reaction is very annoying to deal with, but i hold no sway over the opinions people form or what they "choose" to believe so I try not to get angry at any insults thrown my way and refuse to argue and try to "convince" them that i'm telling the truth.
Warning: If you really don't care, don't bother reading on.
I live in Kentucky and make my living on Commission for art and music. Not much of a living, but it's enough to survive on and that's what matters. I also enjoy working with music and it's great therapy. It's unbelievable therapy both for me and those that hear it. I've lost and buried a son when i was 21, divorced at 23. It was a very ammicable divorce, everything settled out of courts. It's probably very odd to hear this, but we both just kinda sat down one day and talked and decided it just wasn't working out. Personally, i think both of us were just too emotionally dead at that point. My Ex-Wife is my Best friend now and vice versa. We've had to help each other climb out of deep dark pits and if that doesn't form a strong bond of friendship, i don't know what does. Currently, i've quit smoking (been 4 months), and enrolled in college to complete a degree in Psychology, minoring in Linguistics. I can be prone to mood swings and bad bouts of depression that last for months, but for the most part, i believe those have passed. I'm in a period of rebuilding in my life and i just want to do what would have made my son proud if he were still here.
I play city of heroes, because here, i can be someone who's not powerless to save those they care about.
i live like 1500 miles from XPP01 and its not like im gonna just drive over and stalk him cause those blue jeans have a hole in them and he should get that fixed cause that loose screw on his car door might catch it next time he goes to get gas at the texaco on the corner in his blue hat and sunglasses. whooops
Oh my deity! XPP01 is Cal Worthington!
As far as it goes, it's nice to be able to share some information without getting too personal. I can safely say that I'm a mid-30's computer geek working in IT in Silicon Valley. That gives you something to understand me, and even a major metro area I live in, but nothing really concrete.
It's not like there aren't thousands of mid-30's guys in IT in Silicon Valley.
I am less worried about stalking than some; while I'm not as well known as XPP01, my personal information has been on the Internet for years, and any of you probably could use common tools and items from this very forum to find it out. (Or you could ask, and I'd probably tell you.)
This doesn't bother me, because I'm used to the idea that people can find me. I know what to do - and have done it - when someone gets too close and won't leave me alone.
I'd rather be a little open than hide completely. I've met some great people various places on-line, and value those friendships. I've met some real stinkers face-to-face, too.
I'm such a geek. Some of my heroes have journals.
