Quick question - Is this group going to have any sort of theme?
I don't care if it doesn't, I'm still in. I just think theme groups are kinda fun. Whatever theme it may be, SWAT, Military, Robot, Medieval, Norse, Celtic, Magical, angry midgets etc. I just want to know in case I have a sudden inspiration to make the char.
I'll join up as long as the times don't completely conflict with my schedule, which is pretty hard to do. The only night I actually do anything is Mondays. I actually just rolled up a FF/Rad defender out of boredom. Sounds like a good way to get some use out of him.
I'm glad to see there is an interest in this. I didn't necessarily want a theme other that we start out together. Sorta like the Avengers, they came together to fight a common goal and then decided to stay together.
Right now there's six of us interested, so I say that this should be the core members. We could take at least two more but I think that should be it. If we can coordinate a play time for this weekend or Friday night, I say let do it. I think I want to play a Tanker. Post your thoughts here and let know what you think. If you rather do this off the board PM me with your emails and we can set it up that way.

Instead of a defender I think i'd like to play a controller. I've always wanted to play a gravity/storm controller but they're not exactly solo-friendly, especially after issue 2. So if nobody minds i'll do that. When we pick a time we should all meet in Outbreak so we can get the Isolator badge. I like badges. 
Hopefully by then i'll have finished this CoT mission i'm in right now. A thorn wielder magically jumped into the wall and now I can't finish. I sent a petition an hour ago and i'm waiting for a GM to show up and give me a hand. I don't want to do other things incase i'm suppose to stick around the cave when he shows up.

I had a mission the other night like that, I sent the petition at 12:40 AM, and I got email the next day informing me the GM was looking for me at 2:30 PM the next day.
They must be pretty backed up.
I think I'm good with a Defender (Unless someone else has a Defender Build they REALLY want to use)....I'm still torn between Rad or FF as primary (The Rad powers intrigue me, and I've been on the recieving end of FF powers enough to appreciate their usefulness)

Yeah, after I posted here I went outside and killed some Embalmed in that lake area in Galaxy. After I got bored of that I just quit. I'll do it again some other time and hope nobody jumps into the wall.
Both types of defender are good. Radiation defenders debuff accuray, defence, and damage, and they have accelerate metabolism which is an amazing buff. FF's make our defense to everything but psionics really great and I think dispersion bubble resists holds,disorients, and immobilization.
Personally I like playing as rad better, but that's just me. I don't mind throwing out the occasional buff before a fight, like AM, but when that's my main purpose I tend to get bored. You can probably tell I stay far away from empathy too.
Yeah, personal choice.
I actually have an Empathy/Psychic Defender on Champion, Infinity Joe. I Been having a lot of fun with him lately. I go in preparing to be a healer, but I been on some good teams so I spend just as much time on offense. I didn't want to take Empathy again (I hate to duplicate powers)
FF was tempting, and I hope to do one such build sometime, but I choose to go with RAD/RAD.
Nova Element is the name. (If you read his Bio it...still don't make a heck of a lot of sense, but it seems like as good a name as an to me at the moment)
I built him, I clothed him (That was a good hour right there. Now watch everyone laugh at me "That took you an hour?") and I ran him through the Tutorial, but didn't exit it, so if we can coordinate a time to all go on, then we can earn that first badge.

As for my character's costume... I haven't decided. I, like MrKwydjebo, also hate to duplicate powersets, and costume elements are the same thing. I won't reuse too many unless there's not much else to choose from or it really fits the character. I thinking i'll remake one of my lvl 3 characters. I can't decide between the techno type guy or the egyptian guy. hrm....

I'm going to go with either Scrapper or Blaster because we already have the "core" players that I thought would be the hardest to find and all we need now is damage output (unless anyone else wants me to play another controller). I'll post later after I've played with the hero planner a bit.
I'm available any day(s) of the week, I just need to know which ones to schedule for so I can set aside other nights to keep my fiance happy.
If we play Mon, Wed or Fri as our days, I have a buddy who would probably enjoy joining us. I'm going to email him a link to this now.
PS if you guys are interested, me and a friend lead a SG that consists of us, our alts and 2 RL friends that are never on but do play well when they are. We have never actively recruited because anyone who was good enough to invite was already in a SG. I'd be happy to invite you guys with all your alts to "The Watchmen". If nothing else, it would allow us to play together with our mains on the non designated days. If it matters, our SG colors are Yellow and black and look darn cool with just about any costume.
Actually, the group Dajjal refers to is "The Neighborhood Watchmen", which we both lead.
My schedule can be a little wonky on the weekends, but I can probably game regularly Mon/Wed/Fri. I'd be more than willing to roll up a new Scrapper/Blaster as needed too.

I won't be able to play Monday nights... Late class from 7-10 AST (which is 6-9 EST and you can figure out the rest from there). I can't think of any other nights i'm doing something.
Still haven't decided on what my character is going to look like... 
I'm looking for about 4 or 5 individuals who are willing to start a super hero team from level 1 and work our way up through the levels together. Like the Avengers or Justice League, we would be indivduals brought together to fight a common goal. We can coordinate our play time to once or twice a week (or more) so that we can play our main character. I got this idea from Mr_137. He's trying to do something like this on Virtue.
Keep in mind that the group will be limited to 5 or 6, so we don't need 5 scrappers. We will try to get 5 different Archetypes and work our way up to Level 10 to form a super group. After that, we can recruit other players but the core team must be different AT. Here's a quote from Mr_137 post on starting his group.
