but...you are doomed if you have a specific icon in mind...or if you want an asymetrical uniform or if you would like collared tee's or any number of other things. while the character creator is robust (extremely so..and I love it to death) I still bump into that wall that prevents me from creating the characters as I envision them...and they aint really all that off the wall if you ask me...heck my characters are down right tame compaired to most of the folks out there.~ -
eh, its not bad, I actually prefer her in the rough sketched phase when its tougher to make out the details. but thats mainly cause not all that great at gals faces...as such they all tend to look the same to me :/
...but, it'll do for a reference piece...still have ta do the full mask, although that wont really be much different than what ya see here. I may or may not post when completed.
...been dodging WP...been trying to simulate the wings Alex came up with and failing to get the effect thus far. as such, havent even touched the line work as of yet. although, believe I may work on him tomorrow.~ -

...errmmm...am I missing something here? your work looks mighty fine to me. remember we are always our own worst critic. but, if you step back and look at your work with a more neutral view point thinking you'll agree with the rest of us....good stuff maynard!
in general...artists are ever in the constant stage of learning or improving. dont believe me...ask some of the biggies...they are still striving to improve...even when we outsiders look at the work the post and drool from the awsomeny (its my world live it!) goodness...end result? being critical of your work is ok, but also recognize when its pretty damn good too.
blah blah blah...I know...keep posting work, I wanna see more~

..people in general aint happy unless they are complainging about something. the old saying..."a bitchy worker is a happy worker...and when they are silent is when you have to worry"...or something along those lines.
...bottom line...its the forums, someone is always going to complain about something...even me on occasion. again...nature of the beast. forums...love em or leave em...and to be honest would have left a loooooong time ago if it wasnt for the art forums. best place here imo....but then we all have different tastes and expectations when coming to the forums in general.~ -
ANY costume contest held, where a select group is used to determine the winner, is biased...nature of the beast. everyone has different tastes.
if one wanted to be fair you would have a general vote open to all.
