Had a decent meal friday night at the 1855 restaurant, and brought back som Fat Squirrel Ale

If the wife is emplyed after finishing her vet med degree in May, I'll probably be up for another show early July.

  3. Agreed, Neko
I lost the fight with the wife and took her to a cat show up in Madison WI over the weekend. Left from Kansas. Never, once, got above 0 from the time we left to the time we got back. My feet still haven't thawed out.

Morning, by the way, and to all to follow.

Oh, and our oriental short hair boy finaled 6/10 rings, with 5 best of breed wins. :P

    Hi all
  5. Truly enjoyed Star Trek.

Didn't enjoy the graphic novel of Watchmen, even though I admit it was an excellent story. As for the movie, too much giant blue p....

I will add after yesterday's movie to the best list: Sherlock Holmes. It was over the top, witty, good dialogue, and the period was nigh perfect. I'll be very disappointed if it doesn't garner some technical nominations regarding cinimatography, period setting, and costuming come Oscar time.
  6. /e wanders by with a red nose

What? Got a bottle of Jameson

    Merry Christmas, everyone

  16. [QUOTE=TheHawkes;2458126I got stopped by some jobsworth who tried saying that I might offend the Muslims in our office by "forcing my religion on them" to which I simply replied that I am not a christian, and then held the door open for one of the Muslim's in question who had his arms full with tinsel for the tree.

And finaly and most entertainingly I found CNN filmin in the office and threw them out mid interview for not having a permit to film in a restricted area.

Morning Hawkes, Neko, et al to come

10 inches of snow on the ground. Not bad for eastern KS. Not bad at all.
  17. Due to nasty snow storm, the psych final I was supposed to give tonight has been... delayed

If the sick kitty at home is not needing some vet'ing by the the vet med wife tonight, I'll swing by Imperious and catch the TF if it hasn't filled. Hope to see you all there. Can bring a 40+ Bots/Traps or my current fav scrapper, either would work for me.

  23. Best Brit movie ever, Rook!

Alternatively, too much Guiness can lead to being nominated for the Worst Sex in Fiction awards:
