Hi guys. I'm really glad you all were able to keep the SFS runs going.
As to where I've been and why I haven't been around, you can read here if you're interested. I haven't been back in the game yet. I've been in school since the beginning of the month and have been kept super busy with classwork.

SFS hasn't been the same w/o you. Noone does screenshots (because we're all men and don't know how to upload pictures), sok has taken up the leadership role (a noble but ultimately fruitless exercise), and I feel like I'm the only one doing any (real) damage on the team. It's really sad =[[
Try not to take the incident so hard. I know all that stuff represents a large time/personal investment but like all things, even in real life, it's just stuff. People and the experiences you share with them are the things you remember and that keep me playing.
In any case, good luck with school. Take that stuff seriously =]]

Great run we just had. The only thing that could slow us down was sok's incompetence, but even that wasn't enough to delay us for long =P

I would think it would be a targeted aoe
And how many pepper sprays have you seen that are aoe's? I think its more single target in reality. It shoots out like a hose, not like a mister.
Maybe the control set could get a fire hose instead =]] -

Sorry I couldn't make it to this one. I was all set to play, but my gf's cousin's came and I had to be social for a change. hehe. hope everything went well and our leader returned to once again guide us to victory o.O

Indeed, great turnout. I got thrust into leading melee team 2, which i didn't expect to fill up but it did. Not only that, but we embarassed melee team 1 by being too awesome for our own good =P. Jk
thx to all the raid organizers. trying to lead just my small team made me realized how much work goes into it. really appreciate it
only thing that was kinda sad was that we hit the cap for the map and 2 people in spike team 2 dc'ed during the end of the raid, and only 1 of them was able to make it back into abyss 1, but if having too many people was our biggest problem, i'd say in we're in pretty good shape =]] -

We were far from the perfect team, but it was a lot of fun face planting in front of everyone =]]

Silver Mantis Strike Force!
We had a great run of this even those we missed 2 regulars, but had the return of the legendary "Demon Shell". 2:02:xx time even with a detour in cap to take out Deathsurge. On the last mission we stuck together and swiftly prevailed against the giant robotship in an epic fight for victory. As icing on the cake, we managed to take out Scrapyarder after the end for a few quick extra merits and a shiny badge.
I'm terrible at screenies, and I couldn't figure out how Gothess usually gets the team pics up, but here they are.

From the one team pic I can see, was the raid 75+% corruptors?
Not that it matters or takes away from the feat, but just wondering. -
I forgot that my gf's labtop hadn't patched yet, so from 3-3:45 i was patching =[[. hehe at least it was a quick run. I don't really have any love for the outdoor maps, so this SF is definitely not my favorite. And the last person didn't always rub me the right way either. But I did like the differences in the arc from the hero side. Looking forward to starting the cycle again.

So it seems like everyone's concensus is that having AS demoralize not work on a target it kills, was a design/balance decision, which among other things... encourages tactical thinking. Furthermore, any change to it (i.e., making a PBaoe fear around the player), would be robbing the player of a meaningful decision, and be frowned upon by those who replied otherwise.
I'm okay with that, but I just wanted to make sure I understood what was being said. If that is the case, I'll deal with it, but that makes me a sad panda =[[ -
It is a tactical decision, true, but only because of the incentive structure. Which I am trying to argue is flawed =/
(talking pve here) When the stalker is not taking out a healer/buffer, but focusing on the tank to get off an AS, I feel like it is pidgeon holing the stalker into a pure DPS role, instead of a surgical striker.
I'm not seeing why this should be a decision for me. If it wasn't for demoralize, I would definitely take out the support targets. With demoralize, I'm deciding between support and tank. It seems as if the powers design is incentivizing tank targetting.
Why? I would buy the argument that it is a bonus for tough enemies, but I feel like that wasn't the design. I feel like it was to add some team benefit for an otherwise solo centric class. -

Specifically, why it doesn't work if your AS kills the target? -

I was looking at this too the other day for the same reason. As far as I can tell, it has the same stats (recharge/mag/duration) as mass hypnosis, but like muon said, the set lacks the backup of mesmerize. I forget where, but somewhere else I believe that the activation time is not as good as Mass hypnosis which was supposedly a problem (doesn't make it impossible, just harder). I've never done it before, but I thought AV's had more protection than mag from domination. I was under the impression that it took more than 1 application of the mez.
In any case, when I get my dom up to those levels, I'm very interested in trying this out. Let us know how it works out for you. When I do run it, I plan to bring another dom to help, so it may not be an issue, but I'd still like to know. -

tbh, I don't like binding forward (or any direction key) to use a power. More than once I've had the following scenario:
Positioning myself in the center of a mob
Queued up a nuke
Final adjust to position or getting ready to retreat
the "auto cast" power that has been binded to my positioning key replaces my queue'ed up nuke.
Me wondering what happened to my nuke as I wax the floor with my face =/
I bind my "auto cast" power to my tab key.
/bind "tab" "target_enemy_next$$powexec_name <name>"
I also use the "ctrl+tab" to get an extra auto cast
/bind "ctrl+tab" "target_enemy_near$$powexec_name <name>" -
Sad face. I wasn't able to make it. I was hoping that I could get back from LA in time, but no dice =/
Id be up to do this again (err.. once) since I missed this. but I can also move on to the next SF if people want to move on.
