The problem, regardless of when it was discovered, was that it only affects SOME players. Several of my buddies have had zero problems respec-ing and not having powers stop working.
On the other hand, I've seen several threads discussing the bug.
So its clearly happening for some folks and not for others. Which makes it all sorts of fun for the developers. -
Yeah. I'm not sure how he could have misunderstood that statement any further. Its not like he even misinterpreted it. He completely ignored the words in the response and tried to assemble a poorly crafted zinger.
He might as well as said "Oh yeah? Spaghetti Rock and roll" -
Thumbs up marketing team.
Only 2 and a half months late.
Unless they're going to start heavily promoting GR now that the alpha slot will be added.
In that case, just the thumbs up. -
Quote:That's not a boycott. It might be, if NC Soft was solely in the business of running Meet and Greets.Actually MishiiLove, there is more than one meaning to the term boycott. While you can boycott something with the whole protest signs and all, that is not the meaning for this one. They have no intention of attending the event to show their displeasure and to support their kids. It is my understanding that they are sending letters to the company protesting these Adult Only M&G's as well.
It's their way of saying, "If your alcohol is so important for you that you are willing to ignore a large portion of your player base, then I have no need to meet you."
I recommended that they post something in these forums themselves to show how upset they are. They said that the whole recent "Emote Pack" issue, and how NO ONE at the company ever responded to them, seems pretty clear proof that these forums are useless. (Their words, not mine. Though I am starting to see their points.)
Alas, they are in the business of collecting subscriptions. Which, until some of these "displeased" parents are willing to cancel, will ultimately have no effect on NC Soft.
Writing angry letters and storming around the message board (referring to the Party Pack specifically) doesn't impact NC Soft's bottom line.
Wake me up when a real boycott beings. -
Hell froze over and I'm actually off.
Though the missus will probably be on. -
3 weeks away.
Still have to work off that holiday chub. -
Quote:The announcement was made on the 21st.You know, a little more warning would be nice. I've been playing since i7 and I have yet to be able to participate in even one of these events. I am told 'it was on the forums so shut up'. Well it wasn't bloody well on the forums for very long, and certainly not long enough to make arraignments to be logged in.
Shafted, excluded, left out and resentful.
The servers/times were provided by the 23rd.
How much time did you need? Three to fourth months? -
Incidentally, I get that same feeling from reading your post.
I knew exactly what was this was going to be - a PR move to get me all giddy about Going Rogue. Hell, the inclusion of exclusive concept art was a dead give away.
No one really should have expected them to answer the hardball questions. Everything was filtered through the marketing department. -
I think the articles have been blown out of proportion, especially when you consider it was a trademark filing.
I have no doubt a City of Heroes 2 is due in the future, but I don't believe this legal process is a tipping of Paragon's hand.
Nintendo has the trademark on the Zii, Cii, Bii, and Yii (In Japan at least). I highly doubt those are anything other than to protect its Wii brand.
I suspect NCSoft did the same here, to protect the City of Heroes brand.
