I've been getting the "public access is disabled" message since Tuesday, August 9. I have been subbed consistently since May, so I don't think the issue is tied to just having recently resubbed.
I have sent a petition, and yesterday I received a response. I was told that they are investigating this incident, but they don't have anything to tell me at this time. I was told they would contact me as soon as they have more information.
I share all of this to let others who are having this problem know that the devs are in fact at least aware of the problem even though they haven't said anything about this on the forums (at least I haven't seen a post addressing the "public access has been disabled"). I hope this satisfies some who are wondering what the heck is going on. -

Quote:Thanks for the response. I'll just keep trying, and checking back for any news.Give it a day or so. Sometimes access is delayed. If you have just resubscribed, it could take 2-3 days before the account has access. I'm not saying that it is what you are seeing, but it is a possibility.
Additionally there was a major malfunction with the market, as Zwillinger said above. -
I'm still getting the "public access to this server has been disabled" message. The same message I got every time I tried to log in yesterday. Obviously, people have been getting into the game, so does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I'm still getting the "public access to this server is disabled." I've noticed a few others having this issue. Is this a known issue or am I not doing something right?

I am really enjoying the Mission Architect. I love the ability to create custom groups and custom missions. However, one thing that concerns me is the immense amount of story arcs that have been created. The concern is that it is difficult to have my story recognized. I have one story, but I have worked hard on that story. Still, only a few people have played my arc. I know you have the Developer's choice and Hall of Fame to help get a story noticed, but I would like to offer another suggestion.
I will call the list "Special Features." This is a list of about 20-25 story arcs that are placed in a prevalent spot. Players can "purchase" a spot on the special features list by spending 5000 architect tickets. Their arc would be on the list for 4 days, and then would rotate off at the end of the time. That player can then not have an arc on the special features list for 4 days. This would help people draw attention to their arcs.
Thank you for considering my suggestion.
