No because Jay is funny, BAB comes across as rude, rudeness I can do without, funniness is okay.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Unless it's directed at someone who isn't you, obviously. Really CB, that's a sloppy viewpoint to take when lambasting someone for being rude.
  2. [ QUOTE ]
I find Jay funny, also he hates furrys so is naturally good people.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thus negating your OH GOD I'M OFFENDED issue with BAB.

Be offended by all of them, or don't take any seriously. It's only fair.
  3. [ QUOTE ]
ffs, Im not being funny but I was trying to discuss my concerns over a feature update, and all you [censored] [censored] can do is tell me to quit. Well [censored] you both.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You lost your shine when I discovered you hadn't even read about the mission creator. Sorry about that.

    [ QUOTE ]
I enjoy massive parts of this game, but I hate repeatative missions. The mission creator feels like one massive repeatative mission.

    [/ QUOTE ]

To you, yes. That's no excuse to blabber about how the game is failing, the developers aren't giving content and how thousands of people are going to lose interest in the game. M'kay.
  4. [ QUOTE ]

Have you played yet? Trust me the shine will definatly wear off.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, I haven't played it. I have, however, bothered to research it before wetting myself on how terrible Issue 13 might hypothetically be. The shine will wear off. Yes, and? The shine wears off everything and anything.

Doesn't mean it's any less enjoyable when I do get my hands on it. With that attitude you might as well quit the poor attempts at criticising the game and cancel your account now. It'll lose the shine after all.

    [ QUOTE ]
Theres only a handfull of people who will be any good at this. Yet I can hear thousands of budding missions writers just waiting to waste thier time with something hardly anyone will play unless the rewards are there.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Rewards are going to be there. Thousands of people are already writing stories in character bios and the like. The mission creator, as it's been explained, is accessible to a broad range of individuals.

    [ QUOTE ]
And the people who realise their rubbish at making stories will give up, by the thousand. Leaving something that took massive amounts of work, getting dusty in the corner.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thousands of people are complete rubbish at the game itself. Doesn't stop them playing or enjoying it.
  5. [ QUOTE ]
Erm.... well, that does absolutly sweet FA for me. Basically what I got from that is, no no no this isnt a police band missions creator, its a police band mission creator that lets you add a couple of extra tweaks. All the on the boring as sin mission maps.

IMHO the mission creator will appeal to about 10 people after the hype has died down, then we'll be left with an empty issue, gg devs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yet, hilariously, the only people it isn't appealing to are those desperate to scorn I13 at every turn or they haven't bothered researching it in full.
  6. [ QUOTE ]

And the make you look like a PPD hard suit power, is a power.

    [/ QUOTE ]

...but it wasn't described as a set of costume pieces like the cyborg pack. Really CB, go back and actually read the description of the bloody thingy.
  7. [ QUOTE ]

Could be the 'power' we get with the pack?

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, because it was explicitly described as costume pieces and a power.
  8. [ QUOTE ]

Not only have they stopped being bothered about adding new content to the game, there not even giving out full mission rewards for missions the players that can be bothered are making.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If you're going to whinge about issue 13, the least you can do is scrabble together some degree of knowledge about it.
  9. Sex me Nor Cal, sex me.

Oh, in regards to the Lady Sadako comment: players will be writing the next set of Coralax-related canon. That's an...interesting hook.
  10. poptart_fairy1

    2nd Uniform

Correct. Only the first slot can be an Arachnos uniform - though as a Crab you'll get your spinal leg thingies on every costume.

The pieces were designed to work together. They have horrific clipping if used outside their "natural" setup, so we don't have the option to use them with regular costume parts.
  11. [ QUOTE ]
well. NWN had a developement team as well and many o fthe player created scenarios were much much more enjoyable , and in some cases technically more sophisticated than the already quite enjoyable main story of the game.

    [/ QUOTE ]

NWN's singleplayer campaign was a toolset with an example campaign attached. Later on in their advertising they tried to sell it as a full blown RPG.

Funnily enough, the ability to spew giant flaming kittens doesn't mean you're bullet or katana-proof.

That's primarily the reason I'm interested in it.

It's been an age and a half since I was last able to act as a Dungeon Master or the like in pen and paper roleplay, so this kind of approximation will help satiate my urge for it.

Does that help you understand my point

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, it just makes me think you're desperately looking for anything to complain about in regards to the issue.

Unless your very existence is threatened by the thought of someone else enjoying the mission editor, I really don't think the problem is as dramatic as you make it out to be. As absurd and crazy as this sounds, all those missions are going to be actually...played by teams.

If it is only a small percentage then yes the majority do lose :P

    [/ QUOTE ]

And if it's only a small percentage then the servers won't empty.

As I said, understand your arguments before putting them forward.

    Either way we "lose"

    [/ QUOTE ]

Wow, some complaints are really scraping the bottom of the barrel.

"If people enjoy the content they're given we lose! "

Not that you're not smart or anything

If the mission creator "empties the servers", then it's actually a popular addition that's been well received. If it wasn't popular, nobody would use it.

I don't think you quite understand the argument you're making with this point.

Error 500 : SarcasmOutOfRange Exception. This system is now going for reboot.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thank Geoff you and Standoff twigged. Either I'm getting smarter or you lot are getting slower.
  20. Yup. As was the concept of hitpoints and attacks. Blizzard are one of the most original companies in gaming history; almost all modern development choices have began with them.
  21. [ QUOTE ]

You've seen the mission creator's UI?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Obviously. Everything is derived from WoW, and I can say without sarcasm, irony or humour that this is no different.
  22. The mission creator and its UI were stolen from WoW, clearly. Educate yourselves on MMO history, nubs.

The mission creator is a bit naff really, as you are still gonna get the same old office layouts etc with everything you have fought in them before anyway,

Can we get your time machine to see this ourselves, please.

Not just yours?? What a crock!! How long till most of the content in an issue is paid for?

Pst, these packs aren't linked Issue 13.
