  1. Real Name: Michael Reilly

    Age: 29

    Powers: Super Human Strength, Flight

Michael Reilly’s powers have caused him trouble throughout his life. He and his twin brother Shawn were born with the same powers. In a strange twist of fate anytime the two bother made skin to skin contact they would fall into a coma.

The brothers managed to deal with this issue until one day while they were in high school. Michael got into a fight with one of the school bullies. Michael was hold back because he didn’t want to use his powers to hurt his opponent. Shawn saw his brother fighting and ran over to see if he could somehow break up the fight. The bully got a good shot in of Michael knocking him backwards where he accidentally crashed into his brother. Skin to skin contact was made and both brothers fell into a deep coma.

Michael was in a coma for two weeks. Shawn however was in a coma for three months. This was particularly tough since they were part of a family that was very close, and didn’t have a lot of money. A month into Shawn coma the hospital told the Reilly family that they were going to have to shut of the life support machines he was on due to the cost involved.

This drew Michael over the edge. Knowing that his family desperately needed money he teamed up with an old friend who was also a mutant. His friend Robert Evanish took the code name Boulder do to his ability to control the Earth while Michael took Super to kind of make himself a spoof of Superman.

The two mutants managed to rob a bank, but because of the inexperience in crime, the police were quickly on the trail. Knowing what was as stake Robert turned himself in, taking all of the blame and allowing Michael to get away.

Michael managed to make it home with enough money, but he felt horrible about what happened to his friend. He withdrew from everyone and started to act very strange. Within a few months his family entered him into a mental institution.

Two years later Michael was released from the Mental Institution with a clean bill of health. He spent a few years work various jobs, having trouble holding down a single job. Finally a job came along that was suited for him. He was asked to join the Government’s Mutant Control Program.

Michael quickly joined the team when he found out that his bother was also a member. He was shocked when he was actually chosen to be the team’s leader. Michael accepted and one again took up the code name Super.

Ashton Manchester, the man behind the Mutant Control Program knew what he was dealing with. His goal was to use the program for his own purposes, and knew how close Michael and Shawn were. On the teams first mission, Ashton sent only half of the team, leaving Shawn as one of the team members left behind. Ashton had another member of the team, a mutant named Rock whose powers are to turn anything into pure stone, to transform him into a solid statue.

Upon returning from the mission and finding out what happened the other members of the team were ready to attack Ashton. Ashton told them that he had the only thing that could return Shawn back to normal, and he would only even consider doing it if they all worked for him without question.

Nearly a year later after a few roster changes, Ashton was killed when an attack was launched on the teams base. No one else knew how to turn his brother back to normal, and Super once again went insane. This time he attacked a train full of innocent people. He was stopped by the rest of the team, but with a cost. A villain took advantage of this battle capturing another member of the team.

The team put Super back into a mental institution after the battle. He remained there for a few months before he mysteriously disappeared. It was nearly two years before he was seen again, as he helped MCT in a major battle. He then rejoined the team staying with them until the team completely disbanded a few years later. He has made his way to Paragon City after hearing that a number of his past teammates have made their way there...
  2. Real Name: Ashley Galbraith

    Age: 26

    Powers: Fast Healing, Enhanced Reflexes

    Origin: Mutant

Ashley Galbraith is different than most mutants in that she wasn’t actually born with her powers. She was working as a secretary in New York City when her boss saw an unseen potential in her. Behind his legitimate business his interests lied in genetic experimentation. His goals were to improve on himself, but he needed test subjects first to see if the processes his scientists had developed truly worked. He had Ashley kidnapped and she became his first experiment.

The experiment altered her genetic structure matching her DNA to that of a mutant. He also had the scientists work on her mind making her completely loyal to him. He gave her a pair of gauntlets with long blades at the end of them and made her his personal assassin. He then made his own presence known in the criminal world taking the name Lord Spike.

For almost a year Deathblade served as Lord Spike’s assassin before the effects of the experimentation on her mind started to wear off. The memories of the people she hurt and kill started to drive her insane, and she suddenly disappeared.

Two years Later she resurfaced, this time as a founding member of the Government’s M.C.T. or Mutant Control Taskforce. She agreed to join when they promised to tell her about who she is, something that was long lost to her.

Over the first year of the team’s existence, Deathblade watched as the rest of the original members fall or leave the team for various reasons. On one mission Lord Spike attacked catching the team off guard and recapturing Deathblade.

This time angry about her dissention Lord Spike decided to kill Deathblade. Thinking that MCT was behind her original disappearance though, he decided to kill them too. Lord Spike Destroyed Deathblade’s Gauntlets and tortured her as he left clues for MCT to find them. After a grueling battle Lord Spike was narrowly defeated and Deathblade returned to MCT now wielding a pair of katanas to replace her lost gauntlets.

Her return to the team was short lived though. A week later she began to struggle in a battle. Upon returning to base, the team found out that she was actually pregnant. While it seemed strange that the pregnancy was going so fast, everyone believed that it was due to her healing powers.

The father was a mystery. While it was generally believed that it was her current boyfriend Punchout, she had one night stands with both current teammate Soundwave, and former team leader Super. (I have all these names on Virtue server, so nobody complain that I’m using their characters name!)

It only took a month for the pregnancy to run it’s full course. Shortly after the baby was born Lord Spike showed up claiming the baby as his own. The baby was a genetic experiment, a living being that killed anything it touched. He used Deathblade as the host because her healing powers would keep her alive.

Deathblade and Punchout managed to defeat Lord Spike and his experiment, but Deathblade decided to take some time away from the team. She would return in a few months though. Things went well until the team found out that long time team members Punchout and Mindsweep were actually spies working for Lord Spike. She nearly killed Punchout before she was stopped by Mindsweep.

A few months later Deathblade had apparently sacrificed herself to defeat the Pharaoh, a powerful villain with the ability to control the recently deceased. Nearly a year later someone looking like Deathblade and going by the same name has been seen in Paragon City…

My suggestion would be to start off by completely creating your character. By this I mean not only ccreating the look and powers, but also coming up with a background and a personality for your character. Think about how they came up with their powers, how they would react to the situation in Paragon City, and how they would interact with other heroes. Is he/she friendly and outgoing, or a loner? Once you have all that figured out, try to control your character, and what he/she says in those terms, instead of just being yourself.
