edit: did a trace route to the east coast servers IP and it's tiing out after pccwbtn.net router and it's the same hop that AION (another NCSoft game) is having problems with. Any way to fix? -

In response I got an email forwarded to me where one department asked another and the reply they got was:If you don't mind sharing, what did the PCCW people have to say ?

"This issue has come up before this issue is not in our network, but rather NC Soft on the return to certain customers most often with Comcast. The issue appears to more troublesome to Chicago gamers. There is nothing we can really do as the issue is not in our network."
I forwarded that to NCSoft Support who said:
"We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We're aware of some latency issues with one of our peer ISPs. Our Network Engineering Team is in contact with them and is working to clear up the issue as quickly as possible.
If you have any questions or concerns please let us know, but in the meantime we must continue to be patient until the problematic ISP resolves their connectivity issues."
I wanted to play so badly that I ended up connecting my wireless data card to my desktop and have been happily killing until the issue hit me again tonight, so it's not just my home ISP (AT&T), but also now:
LOCATION: Chicago
ISP Provider: AT&T wireless
SERVER: Pinnacle
Problem: Delays in animations, button lag, and net_grap 1 showing mostly red
That said, I understand how it could still be a network configuration on either side causing it, so I'm sitting tight and just playing as much as I can and signing off when it's too frustrating. -
I play on Pinnacle and started having this problem Tuesday night - freezing after zoning, delay in animation, a lot of rubberbanding and game nearly unplayable. Net_graph 1 showed huge amounts of red. Interesting thing is that it seemed to exacerbate every time I zoned and get slightly better after a bit (well, yellow taking over for most of the red).
Being on a team made it worse, and standing alone, not in a team on a mission eventually made the netgraph go mostly green with just a few bars. Then, very very late last night it resolved and I was able to play for a while. But the problems are back today, just hovering in my base gave me a steady stream of red lines.

I've also emailed PCCW and gotten a reply, then forwarded that on to NCSoft in the hopes that it will help. -
I think people are missing the boat on the jetpack boosters. I will not only buy it (as soon as I figure out why the payment screen only wants Visa when all my CCs are Mastercards and I swear I've used them before*?), but I wish I could set it on auto-renew.
$4.99 a month to have two more powers on each character rather than spending two power selections on travel? For how I play, and the enjoyment I'll get out of it, totally worth it. Usually I make sure to get the two temp powers from the mayhems and milk them as long as I can (and maybe the Goldbrickers jetpack too) and then respec into travel when they wear out.

I've been slowly working on this base since last year, and am not quite done yet - it will be several more months before I get the prestige to add the last two rooms. For some of the last two years I've been the only active member, although there are usually two or three of us these days. But I'm pretty happy with the base right now, enough to post pics!
