Hi All!
I hope you are all doing fantastically well...
My apologies for the prolonged absence from the game. I have had a LOT of RL stuff happenening since about Christmas and haven't been able to find the time to run the Going Rogue Sunday Event.
With a bit of luck very soon I will be hosting some more events, and with a bit more luck, there will be new content for us to explore
Hope to see you all in game again very soon.
All the best!
Ari -
As always, our fantastic sunday team got as many levels as we could before the weekend caught up with us and the team disbanded...
In a little over an hour I gained 2 and 3/4 levels bringing my level 10 toon to almost level 13. Our lower level attendees achieved a handful of levels in an insanely short time (which is always good!) so I guess we're doing something right!!!
Thus, Team Awesome made an appearance again with tonight's attendees - a big thank you to:
Promachos
Faraday's Angel
Hard Shine
General Malaise
Rose Tattoo
Next weekend (Sunday 5th Dec) I will NOT be running my regular scheduled event due to RL commitments. Stay tuned for the following weekend's game plan...
Catch you all on the flip-side! Hope you enjoy your City of Whatever week!
<3 Ari -
Okay, so I didnt get to post up the game plan for tonight's GR Event as promised, but I basically decided to run the same style PuG as last week.
I played my level 19 blaster Ms. Fingerbang - and we focussed on level 17-19 missions - as with last week's event, I advertised for players of all levels to join, and as a direct result, in the first 2-3 missions the team generated a total of 10 levels between the 7 of us - 5 of which were generated in the first mission alone!
Unfortunately due to some RL dramas and coincidental PC crash, I missed the last mission, but managed to make it back in time to complete it, so I am making the fair assumption that the collective team achieved approximately 15 levelsGo Team!
A big thank you to tonight's participants:
Forceful Effect
Lup - Mas
Faraday's Angel
Cheshire Puddy-Tat
Marilith Marconi
T88
Given that my level 19 blaster has now capped out at level 20, During the week I will tidy up my remaining low level missions and prep it for an alignment change. I am actually going to try and milk it for as many levels as possible before I actually swap it, who knows, might even get to level 30 before I get bored with GR and change
Meanwhile - next weeks' event will be lead with my level 9 toon [The] Astonishing Ariellah, so the target level requirement will be up to level 10. As with this week and last week, all levels are welcome - XP is good and I find that we always have much much more fun when we're getting a buttload of levels
This is Ari, signing off
Stay keen jelly-beans! Hope to see you all again next week -
So what's running this week?
I have a request if I may, I have a level 20ish (I only say 20ish coz I have forgotten if I have used it for anything much since) toon that I accidentally changed allignment from Going Rogue to Heroes, and I'd like to work on it with some level 20ish PuGs...
I hope we're all keen at least? ITFs while good can get a tiny bit boring or hard to focus on, especially on a weeknight when more exists in the RL world than you and your computer
Just a thought - I'll join anything thats going down, but thats just my 2 cents for this week's hero night
Ari -
Howdy peeps!
Last night's GR event went really really well... much to my surprise! My exposure to the City of Whatever world has taught me that if you're playing a higher level toon and you join a lower level team or run lower level missions, your likelihood of generating much XP and Inf is low... so my assumption that we'd be running a cake walk proved to be particularly wrong.
I lead the team with a level 16 blaster - our first mission was a level 4 mission, and in ten minutes, our team of 4 had levelled. The foes we were up against - much to my surprise - were white, yellow and orange and we killed them easily.
Okay, so if a level 4 mission was going to be so easy with really good XP, why not up the stakes a bit? So the next mission I ran at level 11. Same deal, more XP than the level 4, and the team levelled several times.
No word of a lie, at least every ten minutes someone on the team pinged.
Even with the more challenging foes when I ran one of my level 16 missions, we rocked the hell out of it - blue and green foes started to appear mixed in with whites, yellows and random oranges.
At the end of the night, My level 16 toon had gained 3 levels, the lower toons who attended I have no idea what they achieved, but going based on the ammount of times I heard a ping, I can safely say they got between 4 and 6 levels each.
A big thank you to 'Team Awesome' for attending:
Kurohoshiko
Forceful Effect
General Malaise
Maybe next week we can do it all again!
As always, the Game Plan will be posted later in the week...
Good hunting, Happy gaming, and Keep rockin' it!

Boat Floating a little towards the non speed run ITF... but at what level???
Unfortunately I only have the one Villain @50 and nothing much else - not in the range you're talking. I have a handful of toons I really dont like between 25-40 that need respecs or deleting
Otherwise some better options might be the gohaha...
Depending on what level you're running the boat floating ITF, we might be able to get somewhere
Ari -
Howdy peeps! Hope your City of Whatever week has been fantastic thus far
As promised I'm here to splash my brain matter on the walls of my thread. I kinda mentioned in my Event Report what the next game plan would be, But I've suddenly just now thought about it some more.
What I would like to do are 'Clean Up' missions - the ones that stack up and go stale the longer you leave them, having out-levelled them - the foes are usually grey or very low (like blue). Affectionately I call them 'Cake Walks' - go in, wipe them out, walk away laughing
I dont know about you guys, but I love the ego trip that comes with one shotting a baddie haha - of course the other end of the spectrum is cool as well - getting your toon to 50 and IO tweaking so that you can two shot a red or purple EB :P
So... Simply because GR/Yellowside has nowhere near the available content to max level and create awesomeness, might as well smash through some greys.
I strongly urge that if you are expecting good XP or Infamy that you DO NOT JOIN to avoid your disappointment. I will however run our stale mishes under a lowbie player to benefit from XP (if this is possible). Haven't seen any fresh meat since our first GR night though...
To Recap:
WHERE: Justice Server, Going Rogue
WHEN: Sunday 14th Nov 2010 @8.30pm Sydney EDST
BYO: ANY Level toons with stale missions, Lowbies welcome
NOTE: These mishes will not generate a great deal of XP or Inf. So don't join if you're going to get bored
Good hunting, and hope to see you there!

Due to RL, network and connectivity issues I was unable to attend for the full duration of Sunday's GR Event, so thank you to Lupur, Metacore and Indice for taking the reigns...
For the portion of the event that I was actually around for, a big thank you to the participants:
Lupur
Faraday's Angel
Promachos
Ryllae
Jayne Q.
FlaminDice
Bella Storms
My apologies for not setting a game plan as I normally would, but from what I could tell the pre-proposed level 10-15 mishes went well, A few levels, maybe a couple of toons who topped out at level 20, so congrats to all who acheived a few level goals
This week's GR Event I am throwing a curveball for - The plan is to do some 'clean up' mishes - aiming to get through some of the stuff we have 'out-levelled' in our haste to test the true capacity of our new toons exploring GR.
I am hoping we can truly appreciate the game for what it is, XP and infamy are no question here... just pure smash and grab fun
I will post up some deeper thought processes later in the week, but til then, stay keen
Ari -
This sunday's event went rather well, we got quite a lot of levels being lowbie and doing 2-6, then 6-10 level missions.
We had a new player this week from 'the outer rim' in the US, so there were a few miscommunications with the play-style/posted 'Game plan', but as previously posted, I am new to leading missions and tried to keep everyone as happy as possible...
Some 'Team Etiquette' I feel needs to be established in that all members need to assemble prior to entry so that if it is a fast mission, no one misses out on bonuses - especially considering if we are lowbie and levelling fast, some players like to level up and slot necessary enhancements.
A big thank you to tonight's participants:
Lup-Cor
Faraday's Angel
Promachos
FlaminDice
Chill Leigh Papillon
Cryostatic
Tazzy Boo
Next week we will be doing level 10-15 missions, and again, it WON'T be a speed run. Slow and steady and we'll get to go through the content a bit better.
Ariellah, signing off! -
LOL! Helps if you post on the right thread mate

Hey Hey -
As promised, the game plan for this Sunday's Going Rogue Event will be as follows:
New LOW level toons, regular story arcs starting with the first Contact out of Tutorial zone. If you don't have one then please roll one. I will accept players with toons up to Level 6, however, you will need to be forgiving of those of us with Level 1-5 toons.
I would really rather not do 'Speed Runs'... the purpose of starting fresh is to get a better feel and understanding of Going Rogue - and unfortunately that means reading the Thesis of text and chosing responses wisely
[I rushed my first GR toon and ended up powering through the important alignment bits to the point where I didnt realise what had happened til I found myself being planted in Talos Island on Blueside - its amazing how quickly you can miss stuff if you skim read and click click click your way through the text]
If it matters to you as to the toon you build for these runs, I have elected Loyalist, but bear in mind, your first choice really holds no impact... the only apparent difference I have seen is that if you choose Resistance over Loyalist, the PPD in the zones with appear as foes and not 'neutral unless attacked'.
Throughout Going Rogue you have plenty of opportunities to change from Loyalist to Resistance and vice versa with your choices and responses to the contact or NPCs... the very last mission you do will be Solo only, and your last chance to pick your side - Hero or Villain, but we'll get to that when we get there
Given that Sunday 31st is actually Halloween, if we get enough demand, I will waylay this plan til the following week for last minute ToTs, Special Tips, Zombies and Banners if we get enough of a turnout... As with Metacore's Monday Night Hero Team, if we get too many for a single team another leader can split from the initial to form a second.
To Recap:
WHERE: Justice Server, Going Rogue
WHEN: Sunday 31st Oct 2010 @8.30pm Sydney DST
BYO: Level 1-6 toons, Preffered Loyalist but Resistance Welcome
RSVP: Questions, Mission Suggestions, Halloween Requests by Saturday 30th October. This will go to a vote on the evening if enough feedback is received.
Happy Rolling! and I look forward to seeing you there! -
Hi
Some of you already know me, but for those of you who don't I'm @Ariellah. Affectionately called by the regulars "Ari"
Got my start on other servers but moved to Justice when I heard there was a greater Australian/New Zealander presence online in our time zone.
@Metacore is my best friend, and those of you who remember the early days when we joined will remember us as being two peas (sometimes still are LOL) -though, I am trying to generate a more independent appearance these days
I sadly only have one level 50 toon (Villain) - Plant/Thorn Dominator, a high level Hero - Martial Arts/Electric Armor, and a myriad of Alts!
I am also the new leader of the Going Rogue sunday events and have 2 toons in progress there.
I currently hail from the central coast in NSW ('Straya), and confess to be a tiny bit of a computer geek... oh... and FYI I'm a girl (whether it was obvious or not, I kind of think revealling my sex is relevant - its embarassing running a male toon and being referred to as 'he' in team chat)
Happy gaming! -
If you've invested in Going Rogue and wish to play, please take the opportunity to join our Going Rogue event night.
Events will be run every Sunday evening at 8:30pm Sydney Time - to begin with I will be running low level missions so that everyone can progress at relatively the same time/speed.
If you send me an in game email, I am more than willing to pop on before then if you want exclusive help should you not be able to attend the event.
Good luck and happy gaming! -

Hi All,
This is a continuation of the "Sunday Night changes coming" thread.
The Reason for the change is that the load on the current event leaders has become a bit much with RL commitments etc, and it makes it much more fair on everyone if responsibilities are shared...
Every Sunday night at 8:30 NSW time I plan on running a 'Yellow-side' Going Rogue Event that will consist of PuGs/Regular Missions and Story Arcs to begin with (until newer content is released with the upcoming i19 patch).
I am new to running events so I have devised a game plan whereby I will be starting a toon from scratch, and we can all learn the mysteries of Going Rogue and the rhelm of Praetoria together
Alternate weeks I will run higher level PuGs/Missions/Arcs (Level 15+) so that those of you already with Yellowside toons don't miss out on the fun!
If anyone has any requests you can ingame email/tell me via @Ariellah (ie: if you need help with a toon, particularly difficult missions, story arc suggestions etc until the new content is released).
I like to keep things pretty fair for everyone, so if you have a certain mission arc comming up that you know will be difficult and want help we can advertise via here for others to join.
Regular Event Reports will be posted (If I don't forget!) so please stay tuned for updates!
!!!!!!!!!!!!WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I run team friendly sessions.
It is everyones right to design/use their characters as THEY WANT TO as long as they dont get the team killed all the time.
If a player doesn't take particular power sets as per their toon design that is their choice (You may think their choices are bad, but it is THEIR CHARACTER so they can do WHAT THEY WANT - so please, no griping or bullying regarding this). The same applies if a player does not wish to be buffed etc (eg: for some of my toons I am opposed to speed boost and will often request this not be applied to me) - this is a matter of personal prefference and every player has the RIGHT TO DENY if they so wish.
Anyone who insults another team member will be KICKED and not invited to the team again unless they PUBLICLY apologise (either via Channel, Local or Broadcast - Tact is appreciated of course). I reserve the right as Event Leader to decide whether or not you will be welcome to join the event again in the future dependent on the severity of the behavior toward any of the players on the team.
If you have a problem with someone on the team address either them or myself directly. Bullying WILL NOT be tollerated.
Any complaints about/against team members should be made via tell to myself, and the issue will be dealt with in situ. I do not accept backstabbing backbiting and generally slanderous behavior towards other players. These events are organised for the benefit of the players within our community and any form of harassment/abuse will result in you being kicked from the team and (in extreme cases) being blacklisted from joining events in the future.
This is my first and ONLY warning about this.
Thanks for taking the time to familiarise yourself with my team policies, and I hope to see you on Going Rogue on Sundays! -
Hi All,
For those of you who missed out on tonight's Going Rogue event, Plantatia has been kind enough to bestow upon me the responsibility of running the regular Sunday Night Going Rogue event from now on...
It is my hope that taking over the leadership of this event will lighten the load of the regular event leaders with the already scheduled events (Hero Mondays, Sinister Wednesdays and Friday Night Villany) so thank you for the opportunity Plant!
Tonights Event Report:
Unfortunately we had a bit of a slow start - a couple of hiccups with the Australian participants - a lot us experienced poor server connectivity and were abruptly kicked from the servers (myself a total of 6 times!). This resulted in the loss of approximately 2 potential teams...
After we managed a stable connection, our initial team of 6 started out doing some Trick or Treats in Imperial City at level 14. This was difficult to do as the spawns were generating for the zone at 16+ =OUCH!
More server issues saw our team dwindle from 6 to 4, at which point we continued on - after being owned by zombies - with a few PuGs... level 9 cake-walks and level 15+ manageable missions.
Thankfully between the four of us there was a level or two acheived, and we were lucky enough to not be disturbed by any more server issues within the final hour.
A big thank you to the participants:
Promachos/Memnor
GigvoltKilla
Cylon Toaster
Tazzy Boo
Cryostatic
Doclops
Hopefully next Sunday will be more productive!
Please see the new thread for Going Rogue on Sunday for info, event reports and planned tasks [Coming soon!]
Stay Keen Jelly Beans!
