I think I've found a bug:
With the chatbeta active I cannot add a new tab to my chat window. The "add tab" function is greyed out. -

It is generally thought that the addition of the numbers to the team window is a good thing.

I like this idea!

Most of you seem OK with the proposed changes to lctrl+number. There are some who use it, however, who would hate to have to rebind those keys. You should not have to do that; the plan is to create a new keybind profile. As of today, there has only been one keybind profile: Default. The idea is to add a new one named Classic or Original. To get the keys back the way you are used to, all you would need to go to the Controls page of Options and select the profile you want from the pulldown on the right side. This is sticky for each hero. Although not optimal for you, perhaps, is it acceptable?

Since I am clearly in the minority here I cant hope to have my precious ctrl key left as is. I do like your solution, Poz. If this is adopted I would be happier.
Sadly I will have to rewrite my keybinds cfg regardless due ot the amount of custom keymapping I've done. I'll adapt. -
I have extensively remapped my keyboard and have a unique set of binds for each of my characters. I use the ctrl+number system to access other trays constantly. Please do not change this system or I shall be forced to rewrite a dozen keybind files and that would make me sad.
Might I suggest the tilde key to access terciary power-trays?
I think you'll find that key is used far less then the ctrl key. -
My suggestion for the Shadow Shard is this:
Why not have General Hammond issue a jet-pack to every hero. The jet-pack could be a temp power of flight usable until the player exists the shard.
There certainly wouldnt be balance issues with level 40-50 temporarily using flight. -
5 stars for the original poster for his articulate and well thought out post.

Add my name to the list of people who are happy with the game and the dev's attention.
I have sent PM's to Statesman on three occassions and all three times he responded back personally. Sadly all three times his responses weren't what I wanted to hear but that doesnt make me want to lash out at him. On the contrary, I respect that he and Cryptic are able to make difficult decisions and risk angering a section of the fanbase in the short-term so that the long-term is stronger. Remember that no individual or group can accurately speak for the entire community.
As someone who plays an invulnerability tanker I would like to say "Thanks" for Issue 3 and for your continue focus on the larger picture. -
Add my name to the list of people having a great time! Thanks to the developers for finding a way to create an event that is quintessentially "Halloween-ish": Trick or Treating!
Perfect. -
I would love to shake the hand of the brilliant developer who thought to include this "temporary power" in the bevy of treats for Halloween.
The first time I encountered this I was with my supergroup on teamspeak. We were all shouting about the goodies we recieved from Trick or Treating. After listening to the others talk about temporary powers and inspirations a younger member deadpanned "I got a rock", a perfect imitation of Charlie Brown.
I almost fell off my chair laughing. The real irony was that the guy in question has never even seen that Peanuts special, but was clearly channeling Charlie Brown. Hilarious!
Who was the Dev behind this treat, I'd like to thank him or her! -
Type this:
bind enter "show chat$$beginchat <color YOURCOLOR><bgcolor YOURCOLOR><bordercolor YOURCOLOR>
Before you do so change "YOURCOLOR" to your actual color choices.
