  1. Grats. I've just entered the villain market myself, so hopefully I'll be joining you soon.
  2. [ QUOTE ]
In honor of the illustrious (and often jerky) iltat's birthday, I offer a present wrapped in newspaper, and smelling of fish.

And also, I offer this Penguin-related link. (wait for the payoff.)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Damn. Those penguins really know how to pewpew.

    [ QUOTE ]
    From... an ice hotel...?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    WANT.

    Thanks, Zub, Demo, and Shin.

In return, I present you with a penguin wearing blue shoes.

    Pingus' run

We were slightly lower on the deaths, but that was with the Uberdef and without Cross for the last half the TF.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sorry about that. i didn't get back from the club until about 3:30 AM Eastern. By then it was all over.

Since he has Soul Transfer that last room would've been awesome fun for my Scrapper.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No problem. I rolled my merits, and I'm holding an LotG 7.5 for ya when I see ya next.
  4. Pingus' run

We were slightly lower on the deaths, but that was with the Uberdef and without Cross for the last half the TF.

This death total was buoyed primarily by the fact that our final mish (Rularuu kill all on Oranbega) included a jail room that was filled to the brim with Rularuu. In all honesty, we probably logged 100 of those deaths clearing that room. It was a room for the ages.
  5. When I showed up, there were 11 heroes and 6 vills (me included)...

I'm guessing the Pingu Team will be on our Vent Server?
And the Team Leaders will be co-ordinating via Text Chat?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm assuming we'll be on our vent and not paying attention to anything anyone else is doing while telling dirty jokes.
  7. There were only 6 villains... >.>
  8. iltat

    So Cobalt...

    Vagrant?

    New residents.
  9. Grats on the dingtanah.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
A bunch of Pingus are currently running an Invincible Dr. Quaterfield. Well, not "currently" exactly. Started it late last night, got halfway and will be finishing it tonight.

The body count on both sides has been impressive. Not so much a "defeat all" approach as much as it's mostly been a "defeat any enemies you encounter" approach.

    [/ QUOTE ]

We've got the Uberdef along, so I don't think we'll actually challenge the number established in the OP, but we're definitely buoying the wakie market for the time being. Should be finished late tonight, so we'll screenie it then.
  11. That's the solution to populating any channel.

Will I be able to finally take the yellow out of Hasten?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Didn't see mention of any pool powers being included in the customizing, but I only read through the announcement once so far. Looks like it's just primary/secondary so far.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Castle commented on a few that had been left out, and the post he responded to specifically mentioned Hasten/Pool Powers, and he specifically didn't mention them. So I'd say no changing them just yet.
  13. I will probably show up, but I won't lead until I see Padre do a totally [censored] job leading and take over by force cuz he completely sucks. On the other hand, it's a guarantee that I'll die and fall a long [censored] way down.
  14. That's not bad, but nowhere near the record. The first Pingu Quaterfield had over 1000 deaths between Drizz and I alone.

Granted, our team was 7 Scrappers and 1 Blaster, but still...
  15. Sweet. Now my Bubbler can have black bubbles. Hope none of my teammates actually wanna see their costumes or what they're fighting inside my big bubble.

Oh, I'm quite glad to see the new difficulties since I've been requesting them for about 3 years. Wonder if I can spawn 56s again...

    Regarding Twixt

    [ QUOTE ]
Try to look at this another way. There are some people who are hardwired differently than you. Looking at what Dolly wrote, she HAD to keep doing her routine. I don't expect you to understand why. But at least understand that not everyone is like you.

And doing her routine, she was basically tortured. For months! Of course she's gonna have an emotional response!! Of course she shed real tears. Let's look at the results here, not the how's and why's.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Note that I'm saying this from the perspective of someone who has been one of Twixt's most outspoken critics so far:

Doll gets zero sympathy from me. Not only did she not HAVE to keep going to RV, but when she was there, she was terrible to deal with. She yelled and screamed at me in Broadcast for killing her a single time. She verbally assaulted me constantly, and she would have epic meltdowns every single time I found her in the zone. She would sic her Heavy on me and then taunt me in Broadcast if I died. She came to these forums and talked about how terrible everyone was who dared interrupt her. She flipped out on me, personally, on numerous occasions.

Twixt has misrepresented his "research" plenty, but Doll's melodramatic reactions and attention seeking behavior do not lend her any respectability.
  17. Interestingly enough, the reporter was completely correct in reporting that it WAS a farm.

Customer service would also be perfectly understandable to declare that it is banned because it is a farm.

    Ah, good clean homonym fun.
  18. iltat

    New project....

Nibz has my permission to include my toon of her choice (think she told me she wanted to use my main). However, my most common activity when teaming with her is teabagging her corpse, so I'm not sure how you'd include that in your picture...

I'm out of town at the moment, but I'll holler at ya for a photo session when I get back.

    Regarding Twixt

    [ QUOTE ]
If moving a pawn in Chess causes offence, then a law is passed to stop people moving pawns. There are real examples in the past of offensive games or aspects of games being revised in the name of morality (e.g. negative racial stereotypes being phased out).

    [/ QUOTE ]

You mean like white guys going before black guys in chess, right?
  20. [ QUOTE ]
Well, now you know why I never come here anymore.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Thank you.

    [ QUOTE ]
I state a fact, folks pick it apart like politicans.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Those damn subjective "facts" will get ya every time.

    [ QUOTE ]
Fact is, it is not a farm, never resembled one either.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Except that it had "farm" in its name. You know, ignoring that.

    [ QUOTE ]
It will get unbanned I am positive and I will win on this.

    [/ QUOTE ]
That's right! Stick it to the man!

    [ QUOTE ]
I have a right to vent when people are stupid...

    [/ QUOTE ]
...and I have the right to make fun of people who are stupid. Not saying you are. Ocho, take note of that "fact".

    [ QUOTE ]
...and I have a right to expect to be treated as a paying customer.

    [/ QUOTE ]
...by getting a problem rectified by customer service.

    [ QUOTE ]
If I want a email notice, then I should get one when it involves important issues like this.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yeaaaah, you don't actually get to decide what NCSoft's policies are...just in case you didn't realize that...

    [ QUOTE ]
I am not going to pick apart every thread daily, I have better things to do with my life.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Or read the GMotD...or check the Dev Digest...or let customer service rectify misunderstandings...

    [ QUOTE ]
I do not like being judged guilty till proven innocent, and if you support a system like that then you have got some serious rethinking to do about life.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I don't like believing in "better safe than sorry", but gosh, it sure does save you from having to believe in "if you're gonna be dumb, ya gotta be tough".

    [ QUOTE ]
Anyone can accuse, it is up to judges to investigate and determine if the accusation is baseless... and baseless accucasions should come with a penaltiy of some form to hold down baseless complaints that are loaded as a joke.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Now if only there was a judge you could appeal to (there is), an email address you could send that appeal to (there is), or an inability to know what the repercussions are for overexcitable reporters (there is). But, you know, maybe NCSoft oughta put in one of those things to fix your issue.

    [ QUOTE ]
Now I completely understand Palen after reading the news today.

    [/ QUOTE ]
In all honesty, I actually completely believe you on this one.

    [ QUOTE ]
    Bye

If TF farmers insist on putting the extra time in to loot ultra rare items (not that anybody asked them to do so), then of course they should be compensated appropriately. But when we start talking about spending "millions" or even "billions" of inf. for an ultra rare item...

[/ QUOTE ]Okay, answer this question: How much should the ULTRA RAREST and MOST POWERFUL loot in this game go for? Remember, this is called "ultra rare"... not just rare but ultra!

    Give me a number, now.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Minimum? 5 million.
    Tops? 20 million tops.

Any more, and I think the asking price is unreasonable (but again that's my own perception - others may disagree). And I say that because there are a lot of semi-rare lvl 50 recipes and IOs that have devalued to the point that they're not worth more than 50k minimum to 2 million maximum.

That's why I say purples should start at 5 million. Its all a matter of perspective and competitive pricing.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I wish you ran the market. Since I usually make a billion influence every 7 to 10 days, I'd be able to buy up every single purple ever created and never let anyone else have them. Hell, at these prices, I'd just start destroying them for S&Gs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

But I can and want to do that too How do the market gods divide the purples? Do we draw lots? Do we have to stand in line? Is it done by "need"?

Maybe we could just give it to the person willing to pay the most.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, no, no. We can't do that. They have to max out at 20 million. And some have to max out at 5 million. The only way we can decide this is to have a price cap placed on market transactions.

I wonder what would happen then...

    What happened to it?

Can we start anew? Or is merely speaking about farming now a bannable offense?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Posi will let you know in two weeks. Good luck.
