    In regard to the OP, if SS/FA is so great, don't cry about it; love it. Then, cry if they ever smack it with the nerf bat. Personally, SS/FA is one of my favorite powerset combos. Note that I don't even have one, but am going to build one because I've loved what I've seen from others'.

    I suppose I'm pretty much with Deus_Otiosus on this.

  15. Synapse took about 2 hours 45 mins. We had something like 74 deaths; I think I was about 20-30 of them. Painstaking but fun. Thanks for putting it together Philly and Flux.
  16. This is the Psy/EM build I'm currently working with. HP cap, travel cap, 174ft range blasts, 73.7% recharge +Hasten. I used the build Masque posted and made some changes to account for getting accolades. I plan to use Cardiac Core Boost for the End Redux and Range enhancement (this puts me at ED cap for range and sustainable end use considering the toggles). I have some questions:
    • Is it worth 2-slotting phase when considering the no-phase period, which I understand to be 3 minutes?
    • Is it worth using a slot on the Steadfast 3% IO when considering Diminishing returns reduced the effective defense it gives to about 1% if you have non-powerboosted Fortitude? (Diminishing Returns may have a significantly smaller effect if it works the way I think it does. That being it computes DR after it combines your defense with enemy to-hit.)
    • Is it worth losing some general usability on Mental Blast for the set bonuses that the Decimation set gives? (gives +hp, +end, +rech, but forfeits some accuracy and range slotting)
    • Will I want to run Sprint in order to reach the run speed cap, or is that not as important since I will be primarily relying on SJ?
    • Is the Stealth proc of any use, considering the CM and tactics that will be going around on the enemy team?
    • Will it ever be worth the endurance to run Maneuvers or Assault?
    • What about a Hibe build?

    One other thing I could do with this build is free up 4 slots, remove assault, pick up a stun power and 5 slot that with Stupefy just for the set bonuses, but I generally don't like to pick up a power just to be a set mule.


    Note that Mid's Build exporter falsely reports that I am using Cardiac Radial Boost (which enhances End Redux and Dmg Resistance). I am actually using Cardiac Core Boost.

    That's actually exactly the point of making a build that has so many HP bonuses. The plan of that build is to not get certain accolades. You wouldn't want to do both, as that would be more work than choosing one or the other, and it would add even more work in causing you to respec. That defeats the point.

    I would go the 80 mill route myself. With the current build posted you could actually skip doing TFC and PJ and be at 1582 hp.

    Remember these builds are a starting point for people new to PvP, and the goals of the people who are making them include: cost, effectiveness and
    appropriate power selection.
    Fair enough. It didn't occur to me that you would choose to opt out of an accolade, but it makes sense for why some people might.

    The "Rule of 5s" applies to the name of the set bonus/global enhancement as it appears in your character info window. That's why LotG 7.5% rech may stack 5 times independently from other 7.5% set bonuses (which are listed as "Huge Increased Recharge Bonus" or something like that). So, a bonus listed as "Karma Knockback Protection" (or whatever that is listed as, exactly) may stack 5 times, independently from other KB protection bonuses, such as BotZ or Steadfast.

    Simple version: you may have 5 Karma, 5 BotZ, 5 Steadfast KB IOs, etc.

    This build is capped from 1703.5 HP, if you toggle on Task Force Commander. Maybe a wee bit excessive, considering all the +HP bonuses you derive from defense sets.
