With the free server transfers for the winter event we should get this going sooner than later.

We really want to show people we have our stuff together.
That's a good point, I've already spoken to someone who wants to see us raid.

Maybe next Tues & Wed? Maybe by then there'll be enough people who want to take a break from WE

It'd also be great to see more frequent blue raids as well...haven't been to one in *ages*!
Yeah, Saturdays are typically my D&D days too.

Of course, with this being the holiday season and with WE coming up soon, I'd like to see something like this started after WE goes away.
  5. More than that, we used to be *the* hami raiding server (avert your eyes, virchoo) and I want us to get back to that...

Regular ship raids are good, but just like only having regular hami raids, I'd like to us doing regular raids of both kinds.

Ship raids have become kinda the default of us, which is good - one event and you get heroes and the two villains.

I'd like us to get back to experience hami raids on both sides, because let's face it - they require more teamwork than a ship raid.

I think more teamwork = more community. Or at least, that's how it was for me. Most of the vets I know, I met through hami raids and I'd like to see some of the other non-vets step up and be known.
  6. Hey guys,

I'm trying to solicit feedback on a raiding schedule for the server. I'm speaking of organized events promoted by the various public global channels and not the ad hoc stuff.

As far as I know, we have two people/groups conducting ship raids, on Wednesday and Thursdays.

I'd like for us to also start up regular hami raids again, 2 blue and 1 red. Here's my plan and I'd like to get feedback from you folks.

Tues - Red raid (except for on Tanker Tuesdays)
Wed - Blue raid, followed by the ship raid. (I've spoken to CaptainNational, who's running the ship raid and I think we can have the times worked out so people can participate in both. CN and I did last Wednesday at any rate.)
    Thurs - Ship raid
    Fri - Blue raid

Couple of notes - I'm not going to compete with football on Monday nights. I can't be on Thursday nights. I personally preferred having my weekends "open" of scheduled events, although I will say if you haven't made it to a Saturday Matinee, you are missing a lot of fun.

Having a red raid on Tuesday would allow enough time over the weekend and Monday for people to be reminded of and get their bio nukes. Also, regular red raids may encourage more people to dust off their vils and get back to work on their projects...naive, I know.

    Thoughts, opinions, criticisms?

The raids are simply the schedule I'd like to see, but by no means am I saying I'm the only who can lead raids (I'd love for people to step up and let me leech again), just trying to get the discussion started.
  7. Nuc, that's precisely what's happening, stacked aggro.

It's happened to my invul too. On both my Invul and DA, I've had periods where I've had aggro from 2 mitos and hami at the same time.

In both cases, things are fine as long as their is some staggering in between hits, but they'll fish-flop if two or more hit within a small time frame (say a second or two).

Also note, that you being 46 (ssk'd to 49) may have had an impact.

In fact, tomorrow I'll be running a fire brute with 12kb and I won't be kb'd by single mito or hami.
  8. Why the recurring emphasis on RMTers? Everyone who has more than you must be utilizing their services? (to say nothing of them *having* to be Korean...war's over, son.)

Look, even Freud said sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Let go of the projecting.
  9. But you do a stone tank.

A purpled and IOd stone tank.
  10. Flawed premise and it pretty much went downhill from there.

Playing "normal" - say 10 hours a week, I was able to purple out my first toon after 4 months. How?

Marketing. 10-15 minutes a night, starting small and working up. Oh and getting drops I didn't need and selling them. If anything, it's easier to do it now than then because get this...all it takes is one or two drops and you're a step ahead.

But the initial premise of this thread is that laziness or a lack of willingness to learn how to make inf won't pay off.

    Where's the problem?

  14. I pl'd an insane number of toons back in the "old" MA days. 'fore that, I had perma-bridges to do the same.

I'm not sorry to see either change (I think SSK is better for the community than the old method of sidekicking/exemping) because I see more people doing more things. Same with MA.

I still see MA teams forming in /b and in global channels, I see tons of tfs form, and just normal arc or radio mission teams.

I go test out toons on Dev's Choice stories, just I do the standards of farming the wall or whatnot.

I don't think the intent was to have MA overshadow the rest of the game and now it isn't. It's there and you can still play it, but there now is an incentive to get out and experience the rest of the game, good and bad.

Just like when they implemented mission complete bonuses...Perez is now a ghost town and I remember when it was the place for low-level toons to go.

As for Hamidon and the yellow mitos, their knockback is mag 13, meaning you need Acro and one -KB IO to match it (four -KB IOs on their own will exceed it). The 15.6 points provided by Elec will do just fine in 95% of the situations, and assuming you're a raid-built tank, you'll have taunted your target so it will stay on you even in those rare occasions you get KB'd.
    *sigh*

The kb from Hami and the yellow mitos is less than 12 (I think actually 10) as evidenced by the numerous times I've shown doubters with my DA tank posessing 3 IOs. (KB 12)

  17. Kestrel, this isn't aimed at you - you mention it, but you weren't the first to bring it up.

Why on earth is there even a discussion on private channels ongoing in this thread? Both Justice United and JfA2010 are open channels and if you're looking for teams or whatnot, go there.

Maybe I missed it, but up until Alt's rambling and as usual pointless post, no one was seriously discussing it in this thread, so it really is a non-sequitor.

No one associated with Justice United, or JfA for that matter, is suggesting that the Justice server become exclusive to certain cliques or groups or whatnot - far from it.
  18. Is it just me or is BNY glitching back into the cave after you exit with him more often than before?

I ran a series of tests and in about 1/3 of the cases, after freeing BNY and running to the cave door to exit and then exiting, it'd show him running off somewhere on the map to parts unknown. That means that out of three times doing the mission, he'd behave normally (in otherwords as stupidly as before) but on the third you either tried desperately to find him on the map and go through the door repeatedly or you'd say screw it and go farm LW.

As it is, the Rescue BNY mission should come with a disclaimer that it will raise your blood pressure by 10 points, every third time run.
  19. What if I'm on your gfriends list but don't like you?
