  1. That thread, MASTERMIND NUMERIC KEYPAD PET CONTROLS, looks pretty sweet, Sandolphan, I'll have to read it when I'll awake.
  2. OMG! I made the mistake of clicking on that link... that's a heck of a lot of info. Well, time to stop yackin and take a shot at it. I'll probably start with just the info in your post. Thanks Neo!!!
  3. The guides and faqs are out of date. Tons of the links are broken. Can only the original poster update them?
  4. I use the goto command a lot. It seems to put them in aggressive irc. I also try to use the stay command which, really, other than keeping your robots put out of combat, does it do anything in combat?

I like to put my robots in front of me with a goto so they can grab aggro and then I move into the middle of them to shield them. Most of the time they will stay put but I'm noticing that enemies are running away a lot so my robots will take off after them. And if not running away robots do a lot of knockback which also causes my robots to run towards the enemy.

Is there a better way of moving the bots in, having them fire on everyone and then keeping them close? if not, I'm probably bailing. And no, you can't have my stuff.
  5. My Bots/FF MM is incredibly tough. Once you get Assault Bot (l26 I think) and then again with the final upgrade (l32?) they become very potent. FF is all about controlling the battlefield. I can take on swarms of enemies without problems. Well, minus the terrible AI forcing my robots outside the protective bubbles. Seriously, fix the AI! I want a stay here and fire command that works!

EDIT: Oh, my major weakness is AoE DoTs like fire slicks and such. The robots run out of it in every direction and usually outside my dispersion field/force bubble.
  6. I noticed that something is wonky with the zombies! I only play my necro/pain as a healer in groups. I never really concentrate too much on the zombies but they seem even worse than the robots AI wise. I guess its the melee AI or something.

My mercs seem to get it though. Stay still and fire. Oh, and they don't have freaky AI collisions like bots do. Have you ever used goto on a slope with bots? The assault bot will run back and forth trying to get a space. Too bad each bot is the size of a Mac truck and the AI can't cope with it. Wee!!! Yay for crap programming!!! I wonder if Champions henchmen will have the terrible AI that Cryptic dumped on us here. Poor Paragon Studio... they got a lot of fixing up to do here.
  7. My Bots/FF MM has (the short list):

Stamina (3 End slots, going down to 2 End on respec)
Tactics (3 End slots for no apparent reason, may go to 2 End)
Assault (2 End, 1 to Hit)
Force Bubble (End & End I think, can't remember)
Repulsion Field (6 slots of awesomeness)

I do not have Medicine or Teleport. Every power slot I have is precious; those powers are unnecessary for my build.

Like a previous poster my prot bots have 2 slots of defense. Between their shields and mine we don't take much damage (unless the idiots run out of my disp field and force bubble... the AI in this game is terrible).

You only need to take 2 in Leadership to get Tactics. Screw maneuvers, you got force fields.

And some people don't take both Force Bubble and Repulsion Field because they think that they are the same thing. They are not. Force Bubble isn't full proof and you will catch aggro for using it if a bot doesn't get it first (sloppy play, yes, but it happens).
Also, Force Bubble can take only a few enhancements. My Repulsion Field is 6 slotted with Knockback and it LAUNCHES people everywhere. And it's excellent for small hallways. Use both.

I don't suffer endurance problems. I hover around with everything (minus repulsion field), including my electricity armor patron power going. If something starts slipping through force bubble I kick in Replusion Field and eject them. I do not use Force Bolt often; I don't need to unless there is an emergency.

I can take most elite bosses and I like to play on rep5, though I've had to go rep 3 occasionally. The only problem I have now is the faulty AI and the lack of controls for my henchmen. Seriously, is it that hard for them to make a command that says "Stay in one place and fire - DO NOT MOVE" ?

Also, I have so many extra enhancement slots to add I can toss them around willynilly. If you're really curious ( and I have the time and I remember) I'll post my full specs. My guy is tuned pretty heavily.
  8. Wow. Thanks for the reply gang, but it's BS that, as a mastermind, I can't tell my p.o.s. henchmen to stand and fire on someone. Jesus, really? I went with the mastermind because I like the tactical approach but I'm tired on babysitting moronic suicidal AIs. We've been fighting this garbled AI crap for years and it still sucks. Everything seemed somewhat acceptable a few months back. You know, when Protector bots would get stuck by their own seeker bots. Now I can't stop these idiots from going berserk; especially when fighting on multiple fronts.

FIX THE FREAKIN AI! I don't need additional power sets, I just need more options for controlling my freakin henchmen!

I am an active FFer Aramina. Force Bubble doesn't keep everyone out. The Dispersion Field necessitates movement if you are using it to keep opponents away from your henchmen. Yet another reason why the robots need to stop moving around.
  9. I play a Robots/Force Field MM and I'm having a very tough time keeping my robots within my Dispersion Shield's radius. I use the goto command a lot, and even the Stay command, but they still tend to take off after the enemy.

Typically I have them set to aggressive. If I don't then they tend not to attack as much. Still, I'd think the stay command would keep them from taking off. I literally have to keep tapping it.

And is there a way from stopping the robots from spontaneously running off to melee people?

    Any ideas?
