  1. Darkvapor made no sign that his compatriot had arrived. He didn't even twitch. Instead, he made it look like he was preoccupied examining the room they were in.

When the rubble suddenly exploded, and the blue energy beams shot forth, Darkvapor made his move. Normally he'd have summoned a henchman or two to the fight, but time was of the essence. If anyone had been scanning him prior to Energon's entrance they would have seen the dark energy in his body moving around frantically.

In truth he was a lot like a Kheldian, able to manipulate the energies in his body to become a sort of all purpose soldier.

His muscles grew in size and his eyes became eerily black as he charged, his dark fists contrasting greatly to the blue energy bolts of Energon.

Wordlessly he charged. His fists wrapped in darkness slammed into two nearby Council soldiers. Darkvapor didn't stop there. The villain charged Agent Buckman, intending to take down the General's number two guy as fast as possible.
  2. "Wow, I have to agree vith ju robot on zis vone Sheldon." Klaus replied. "Vell, for those of us zat are a weee bit mature, I suggest we get moving soon ja?"
  3. *Rezes just in time to see Chaotic get in touch with the wave motion cannon*

    Ahh what the hell!

*Grabs portal gun and fires a blue one at Bladeheart. The sheer pressure of the portal inside him makes him explode, sending body parts everywhere*

*Grabs wave motion gun and tosses it in the pit with the Komodo Dragons*
  4. General Kaos' Lair

Jack 7 took a few moments to survey the room. He wondered why General Kaos had chosen the emergency armory as the place for his last stand. The four man assault team had been careful to try and bottle the villain into his command center, but he apparently had already made his escape to the armory. Why hadn't he just run down to the teleport chamber and left the facility?

Jack 7 kept his grip on his assault rifle, white smoke still billowing out of the barrel like a cigarette. His three associates made similar sweeps of the room. When everything had been secured Jack walked over to Kaos.

Jack checked the shoulder strap of his weapon and then released his grip on it, letting it hang off his shoulder, occasionally bumping into his side as he moved. He bent down and grabbed hold of Kaos, wrapping his fingers around the collar of the other man's clothes. "Wake up Kaos." He said in a threatening undertone. When Kaos failed to respond he slapped the man across the face.

Kaos' head drooped to his side. His cheek burned, and the place where the beanbag round had hit him still was sore, but he was able to sit up a little. "Ahhh, Jack 7, always a pleasure." he sarcastically spat.

"Jack," a metallic voice called from down the hall, "the teleporter is fully charged. I ran a check of the log, looks like HK 48 was here right before we stormed the control room."

Jack gave a grim smile. "Mind explaining what HK 48 was doing here?"

Kaos gave a weak smile back. "48? He was hitting me up for some supplies. Said something about the Vanguard Task force and the Rikti Homeworld. I told him I couldn't help him and he left."

A thought struck Jack, making him forget about Kaos for a moment. He'd been briefed by one of his contacts in Vanguard about the task force. He'd turned the offer to join the task force down so he could finish up business here, but had promised to help out if time allowed it. He had no idea what HK 48 was doing on the Rikti Homeworld, but it couldn't be good.

"I'll tell you what Kaos, you get to wait here for the Longbow cleanup crew while I go pay your friends a visit. Take care now." With that he suddenly lashed out with a viscious punch to the face that knocked Kaos out again.

"Okay...FX, you set the teleport system up to take us to wherever it was HK 48 went. Phantom, call up the Longbow guys and tell them the place is all clear."

    Peregrine Island, Five minutes later....

"Okay, we're less than a mile from the Portal Corps building. Let's see if we can't find us an android."

Jack lead the four man team in a run for the security checkpoint. Once there Jack walked over to the window where the Freedom Corps guard was. "Hey, have you seen this guy before?" He held a picture of none other than HK 48 up to the window, a look of grave concern on his face.
  5. Hah! I'm already insane!

*Cackles maniacally as Chaotic shows Build his brain*

*Fires off shotgun, killing Chaotic and obliterating Build's body*
  6. Darkvapor finally reache the apex of the temple. He scrambled onto the old structure, careful not to harm the metal contraption. After a few seconds of searching for an ideal place to drop the device he put the thing down in the middle of the roof.

Darkvapor reached into his coat and extracted a small green crystal, no bigger than the palm of his hand and put it into the device.

He put his index finger against his earpiece. "Power Breaker...it's DV. Our defenses are up now."
  7. *rez*

    *Grabs upgraded gravity gun*

*Sends Build and the corpse of Chaotic flying into all sorts of nasty traps and pointy objects*

    VICTORY!
  8. Earth

General Kaos quickly wiped the sweat pouring off his brow with the back of his hand. The assorted troopers next to him checked their weapons. A feeling of anxiety washed over the group.

Suddenly there was a sickening creak and groan as metal grinded against metal. Kaos gave a final, quiet prayer and then all hell broke loose. There was the roar of pressurized air rushing past, the room's emergency airlock having failed to hold back the invaders.

Kaos' vision was obscured as over a dozen assault rifles went off at once. Behind him there was a roar as two RPG launchers fired.

The general's eyes narrowed. "Cease fire!" he barked, barely audible over the boom of the weapons. It took a few seconds for the dust to settle, and in that time the general felt his blood pressure skyrocket.

There was nothing in the empty hallway whatsoever.

    "Where the hell is he?"

Suddenly there was the familiar sound of air collapsing. A soft thud followed the air, and out of the corner of his eye Kaos saw what looked like black smoke billowing around him.

Kaos spun round, pistol out. The armored hero dropped three of Kaos' men without a second's hesitation before vanishing again.

"He's playing games with us....spread out."

Kaos' men complied, leaving him and his bodyguard in the center of a small circle.

Kaos nose picked something up though. There was a distinct smelll of ozone in the air that permiated the entire room.

He looked up just in time to see a glowing red ball of lightning drop from the ceiling, slamming into a group of his men. Behind him the vanishing brawler had returned, and had begun antagonizing Kaos' right flank.

Suddenly from the wrecked airlock came two more figures. Kaos spun round to fire upon them, but before he could pull the trigger there was the familiar FUMP of a grenade launcher. A beanbag round hit him squrely in the chest and Kaos went airborne, slamming into a metal pipe a few feet away. The last thing he remembered before passing out was the sight of four heroes cutting down his men, before yelling out "all clear".
  9. Uh uh... the penalty for screwing up your evil plan.....

*Kicks Chaotic into a pit full of giant Komodo Dragons*

    Get 'em boys.

*Hands bloody crowbar back to Entropy*

    Thanks mate.
  10. *Grabs hokey mask and chainsaw*

    *Revs chainsaw*

    BLOOOOOOOOOOD!!!

    *Cuts Entropy apart*

    "Mmm....tasty."
  11. Anyone Poe was trying to send to Mathue's Island would find teleporting there directly quite impossible.

There was basically a bubble around Mathue's Island cutting it off from the rest of the world. Someone teleporting there would get the equivalent of a busy signal on a telephone.

Unfortunately for the motly crew on the island, the bubble would collapse soon if Darkvapor didn't install his device atop the temple. Furthermore, if someone was really intent on getting on the island, there was a slight chance they might break through the shield, but the process would likely expend most of their energy.

Darkvapor looked up at the apex of the temple. Just how tall was this bloody thing?
  12. *Rezes above Chaotic 96*

    *Crushes him in fall*

What the hell is a meatspin?
  13. *Rez*

    *Passes popcorn to Entropy*

    Nice.
  14. "Thank you." Darkvapor said, giving a slight bow before making a mad dash for the storage shed at speeds that would make Olympic track runners gape in awe. The Dark Lord covered the distance in remarkable time, and quickly got to climbing the temple.
  15. *Rez*

    I think Chameleon's suffered enough.

*Snatches dropped keyboard and bashes Chaotic to death again, before pulling Chameleon out of blender*

Ewwww, it looks like it turned inside out and exploded.
  16. ((Was that a shot? *Clutches chest*))

    Jade Moon

"We gotta get the hell outta here." Ghost commented in between pacing up and down the length of the room. The normally calm and patient sniper was beginning to feel a rush of anxiety, and he didn't like it.

"Concurance." the droid replied. Since their arrival in the room the team had been completely on edge. Once they though they might have heard a Vanguard patrol, but HK 48 shrugged it off as "Human Error."

Radiator had pulled off his helmet, revealing his scarred face and pale skin for the first time today. "Okay, let's think about this. Our boss sent us here to gather any items of signifigance we could find, along with any intelligence about the Rikti. To do that we need to go down to the homeworld. What we need right now is a ship."

Scarab had been sitting in the window sill, basked in the glow of several computer interfaces. "Isn't that a Rikti warship?" he asked somewhat casually.

Everyone turned to face the window.

"Okay...48, what are we looking at?"

"Commentary: A Rikti warship of unknown classification. Theory: This facility has been making ships. Perhaps the Vanguard Task Force took control of one of the ships while it was in dry dock."

"Hey what's that?" Ghost inquired, pointing at the small barely visible object that had just left the warship.

"Clarification: A Rikti Dropship. A warship that size must have a small contingency of dropships."

Radiator cracked his first smile all day. "Gentlemen, I think I have a way out of here."
  17. "No, I need to get to the top of the temple." Darkvapor said, gasping for breath.

"Please, it's imparative I get this up there." he said, revealing the metal contraption.
  18. *Rezes inside of Build, killing him in the process*

    *Looks around*

*Starts walking down the street covered in Build's inerds.
  19. *Rez*

    *Grabs hunting rifle*

*Shoots Chaotic in the back of the head with rifle*

*When done with this, goes and destroys all Microsoft related things in the universe*

*Returns to this thread to find it muuuuch better*

    *Grabs beer*

    There, my job is done.
  20. Trust me...throw in my two characters and there will be badass carnage.

To give you an idea, Jack 7 is a lot like the Terminator....he doesn't take any [censored] from nobody.

Static....he has his violent side as well.
  21. Darkvapor raced out of the scrap metal area and back into the area where Xabu had appeared holding a metal contraption in his arms like a football.

"Good, now all I need to do is set this up." he muttered under his breath. He looked around for some place to set the device up at.

He stared at the old temple for a while before setting off for it at race pace.
