Can I get a little help on this. I have this mission from Maria Jenkins to meet Sister Psyche (or is it Statesman, I'll have to double-check) on the other side of a Portal in Portal Corp. When I get there, no one is there, there are dark baddies scattered around, and a big structure out in the distance.
I went to the structure and can't enter it. I cant find any clues as to where Statesman (or Psyche) is. I've been running around in this odd dimension for days. I'm just lost at this point.
Can someone tell me where to look for a clue to completing this mission? -

I have a problem crashing. Sometimes I get a message that the graphics card has encountered a problem but has recovered. Recently I've just been getting a "white screen of death" that kicks me out of the game. No message. I have a toshiba Qosmio X505 using an NVidia 460M card.
I tried posting my GameAdvisor file but the boards gave me an error. -
Wow. I can'r remember from my old laptop a few years ago. But I just got a new one. Does it really take 2-4 hours to download and install this game??? It says I have 3.5 hours left as it "fixes" the files. do any other games take this long to install?

Well, someone might be interested in this. Others may get a good laugh.
For the last year or so, I've been playing COH with my old laptop--a Celeron with Intel Integerated Graphics for the Hard-core Gamer! Oops! Its Intel HD Integrated Graphics.
Yes, This was painful, but I could play. I was plauged with long load times, lots of disconnects and I could not play with a team of more than 3 members. Oh, and avoid Ritki invasions. I can barely load Pretoria.
Well, my sister now has a new low-end laptop. I have to set it up for her (system restore files, anit-virus, etc.) so I took the liberty of downloading COH so I could see how it runs on her new . This laptop has a blazing AMD Turon II P340 and some type of integrated graphics. Oooooh!
When I loaded up COH, I got a message--"You have a computer with a graphics card that can run UltraMode. Do you want to?" Got those two choices--I guess one is UM and the other UM Lite. I chose UM Lite.
Wow! Looks great! I love it. But, I get sooooo much lag. No DC problems though. And it loaded really quickly (compared to what I was used to anyway). But the lag is intolerable. it was better playing in regular mode on my Celeron. Well. except for the DCs and frozen screens.
So,now I've completed this experiment, and I know that anyhing I get will run COH. Probably cant get something that cant. Also, my hunch is that even the --what 5640? or 330M? graphics card will at least let me run UM Lite just fine. It would be nice to get confirmation on this from someone who tried. It will definitley be more capable than my sister's set up. But she wont care--she does not play video games. But no, definitley not the full Ultramode. But I can live with that.
One question--can anyone tell me how to turn this UM off so I can get a rid of the lag? -
leaning towards a toshiba i7 with a Radeon 330M. That graphic cards seems under-spec. I probably wont be running UM, but I think my overall experience will drastically improve. I just can't shell out the extra to get the units w/ better graphics. Too bad it wont have blu-ray either. Seems like the 330M will perform about like the card in the HP. It may be the same card--hp seems to be matching up the intel chips with the Radeon graphics instead of the Nvidia graphics. The HP did have 8GB of ram though.

I could use some suggestions. I have to replace my laptop, and I don't have much money to spend on it. But I'd like to improve my COH experience and get rid of my constant disconnects. Maybe play Star Trek Online too. My little laptop is about 3-4 years old with something called an Intel Extreme Grapahics 2 (integrated, I think but I dont really know). Yeah, I got what I could afford at the time in desperation.
I'm hoping to play at least somewhat in UM, but it doesn't have to be ALL the bells and whistles...I'm sure it wont take much to improve on what I have. But I wnat to do my best for probably under $1K (hey, its what I can afford).
The sales going on now have alot of systems with Radeon 5650 boards. From what I'm reading on here, and that nice list that was made, this wont let me run ALL the UM goodies, but I can run it at above "minimum." and may be ok, considering I won't even try it on my current laptop. What performance I'm looking for...well, I can't currently play in large teams since my screen freezes up. Need to avoid Ritki invasions too. I'd like to be able to do those things so I can join task forces. I'm looking at this HP Pavillion dvt7 with a Radeon 5650 (they try to sell it wiht a 5470--how's that gonna work?) I find it really annoying of these companies to lable everthing "serious super computing power" or some such, even the lowest end products.
