Are they even still checking for these problems anymore, or is this the end?
-
This is what's happening to me as well. I'm going to give up for the night.
-
The game will be a quieter place without him. I didn't know him well, but please offer my thoughts and best wishes.

At least it's not just me, then. I've tried all the solutions so far suggested, and last night still crashed six times in under an hour, so I've given up. My only hope is that when they shut off the holiday event that the patch to do that undoes whatever the patch to turn it on broke. Until then, I guess I'm paying $15 this month not to play.

Wendy, he's been doing that for a while. Here's the experience I related to friends on another forum in 11/09:
Quote:I guess nothing has changed. So he invites me, then invites three more people to fill up the team. We do one mission, which consists of 7 of us following him through the map as he stops in front of us, uses a keybind to yell, "HERDING TO HERE! DO NOT FOLLOW ME! HERDING TO HERE! DO NOT FOLLOW ME! HERDING TO HERE! DO NOT FOLLOW ME!", and then herds Council mobs to his position. It was a little irritating, but not the worst group I've been in. At the end of the mission, he sends me a tell:
Him: Are you interested in joining an "active" SG?
Me: I'm already in an SG with friends, so no.
Me: Thanks, though.
Him: That's unfortunate.
Then he kicks me from the team! Not only that, but as I pop out of the mission door, three more team members (including my friend) pop out behind me. I said in local, "He just kicked me for not joining his SG," and all three said, "Me too." I sent him a tell asking if he really kicked me from team for not joining his SG, and he didn't respond. -
I would like to bid 1,688,000,000, please.

That's why I don't bother with beta. I get an invite pretty much every time, and every time I've done it the things that I've reported are still broken when the issue launches. Why waste my time? I'm just going to be reporting the same bugs in a couple of weeks, anyway, when it goes live so I might as well level and gain inf in the meantime.
-
My custom colors are gone as well, and I don't feel like spending multiple thousands of inf to fix it. Hopefully they will throw us a free tailor session per slot on each character so that we can fix whatever they broke.

I can't believe there are people who think it's impossible and that Prole is lying. Did you somehow not notice that he has 66 months worth of veteran rewards? Is it hard to understand that after playing for that long, you actually acquire strategy and skill at this game? Just because you may suck as a player and can't accomplish that doesn't mean that no one can.

So, no word from a red name yet? It's been hours.

While it's nice to hear from Horatio, his letter leaves me with a question. He admits that rather than wait until it was ready, they instead rushed out a flawed product to meet a timeline without informing the playerbase that what they were experiencing was still under development and repair, and he doesn't apologize for it.
How is this an appropriate customer service model?

You must be new to the video game industry.

Typical forumite snark. I think he has a point. The SF/TF *was* rushed. The MM power is bugged as admitted by Castle himself.
When did the video game industry get a pass for sloppy work? I like this game, but don't excuse sloppiness by implying such standards are acceptable fare.

Actually, no, his reply was true. As an MMO, EVERYTHING in the game is under a constant state of development and repair. Content is usually rushed and comes out buggy because the player base throws a fit when it doesn't come out fast enough for them. Or in this case they wanted to do something neat for the anniversary. I know, who do they think they are?

There's a difference between the game being under constant developement and needing tweaks and the devs deliberately putting out something they knew was broken. If you pick up a car from the dealer with three wheels and they tell you they have a plan to put the last wheel on in a week or so, but they really wanted to make the delivery deadline, is this ok with you? It shouldn't be, but apparently your standards are lower because the dealer tried and that's enough. -
