We may not have beat the time for the quickest (I've run) but we did do the run without one Death! and actually it'd been a few runs since that had happened. I was on a recent Katie run with Xan and I used my blaster with Vengance, I think she'll be running one next week LOOKING for someone to drop...

That was my 7th Thursday in-a-row!...
It's listed in the PinnBadges MotD (The Global Channel where all the "in" crowd hangs... TY KPC) and I do most of my recruiting there and in Broadcast in Striga about 15 min prior to start time.

I'd like to continue this as long as I can and it seems to be gaining momentum!

I have had a few voice concerns over the time though, so I'm thinking I might be pushing it back an hour.

Instead of 6-9 pm Central I may start doing it 7-10 that would make for an 8pm run on both coasts. The first run would be 8pm EST while the 2nd would be 8pm PST...

....and then again, if I can lockup another host to run it with me we could accommodate 2 groups instead of always leaving that one or two folks that didn't make the team.

I've always liked this TF because it's short (always under 2 hours) it's against a lotta robots, it's got an AV and for those that haven't done it on their character yet, it unlocks the dice7 emote.

and for me it's a great prestige gainer along with salvage and a rare recipe at the end. ( of course I've picked up a few rares on the way to the AV also, just random drops during the TF! )

So....

If there's any volunteers out there willing to hop on board each Thursday, and if pushing it back an hour sounds like a wise move, let me know. This would be the place to discuss it!

we had an awsome Monday Night Moonfire TF that was so popular it spurred a second team and ran along with us!...

MAYBE the Hess will be JUST as popular and I can have someone else running a second team the same time I'll be running one!?

1st run was with 7 and well done!

Lag was pitts but done in less than 90 min and grabbed me another Numina!

Sweeet!

Second run to start in about 1 hour.... I MAY be a little late starting that one as I have an errand bout the same time...

Hopefully the lag will be minimum but I'll be running in safe mode... still can't figure out what driver i'm missing or how i had it tweaked before the crash...

But we're still on for tonight!

Well......

Things went a bit awry....

5AM Wednesday morning, right after I got off work I noticed a virus warning coming from my CA Virus protection (Security Suite as supplied by RoadRunner for it's customers...) It stated that it had a virus and that it had cleaned it but needed a reboot to erase it...

BIG Mistake!... once the reboot had completed my comp was screwed...
it would boot windows then sit there, any application I tried running met with the same results... windows application error, data missing in line blah blah blah....
UGH!
12 hours of trying "tricks and fixes" to get around the problem were fruitless... finally it was a C: drive Format and reinstall....
DBL UGH!
I lost a lotta stuff... bout 3 yrs worth... on the bright side I had nearly 60% of the goodies backed up on my D: drive so that helped, but still....
the next few hours consisted of -- Download, Install, Update, reboot... repeat...
And even then.. finding the correct drivers that I had for both Video and Audio turned into quite a task..
but I was Finally up and running about 6:40pm Thursday evening... so I had to cancell the 6PM run, I did manage to get nearly a full team for the 9PM run tho (7 members) and despite my incredible lag we still managed a 1:40ish run!

I'd like to thank those that joined and to apologize to those that didn't get to do the 6PM run and to those on the run with me for my Z o n i n g speed... sheesh!

ANYway... I'm still tweaking settings and HOPEfully be up to full speed again (or at least as fast as I was b4 the crash!) in time for another Monday Moonfire... Moonfire is still under 2 hrs.. but it seems longer than Hess...

I've yet to see a "bad" group!

One may take a little longer to complete it than others...

But no...

Never a bad group... must be something about the so few Mezzers involved in the whole thing...

only a few Vamps...

But teams of all makes of ATs have been able to breeze thru...
I think this helps those that think TFs are too difficult to accomplish with their build of (insert AT here!)...

So come one, come all, and bring whatever, whoever, you'd like!

I was even contemplating MAYBE a Monday Moonfire TF series...

There's just something about the lowbee-quick (2 hrs or less) Task Forces that I find soooo appealing! (Besides the rushed "speed Katies")

...and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one!

Once again 2 great teams!
1st was Tank heavy... still worked out quite well! (time of approx. 1:40)
2nd run (time of apprx. 1:20) was 2 tanks 3 scrappers, PB, Contoller (Carnage went twice! Thanx!) and a Blaster... I know we had at least 2 deaths-by-typing!!.... (if only I'd learn how to type without having to look at the keyboard... owell )
1st run I was on my 50... snagged another Numina as a random drop... and heard of several other nice recipes as random drops b4 we got the choice at the end.

Archon Burkholder went down fighting like hell both times tho we cleared more the 1st run than the 2nd!

2nd run we had Alli Sin along, a Task Force virgin, she seemed to enjoy the going's on...(I've been running into more and more "new" folks in the game, people on their toon up to lvls 20+ and they've never heard of a Task Force!, Like Lemur said, "Hess is a nice one to do as their 1st", UNLIKE the Positron-from-Hell... )

Another sweet Double Dose Thursday...

1st Run was with 6 and went smoothly enuff... we did the Kill-all and was done in 1:54...

2nd run... well that dam BUG showed up! We were all getting disco'd when we tried to enter the first mission! Team was of 8 and we lost 30 min on the timer (it kept running even tho we couldn't get started!) and yet still finished in 1:57!

So thank you all who participated and I'll be doing the same thing next Thursday!

Great turnout... both runs had full teams! Tho on run 2 our Keldian DC'd just b4 the last mission!... we waited a good 10 minutes... and still finished the run in 83 minutes! First run was 91... we skipped a few mobs and on both runs we skipped the mobs in the last room and just pulled the AV to the door.

Again I'd like to thank you all who participated!... I really find that TF exciting and quick... one that doesn't drag on and on AND doesn't feel rushed even when you do!

The point is when I tell guys this they usually want to hang with me because I’m not some stuck up prissy girl who screams every time I break a nail. Truth be told I get along a lot better with guys then girls. I grew up as a tom-boy and I’ll die as a tom-boy.

Lady-Dee was my first character. I do play her from time to time. Still pissed about I.H. but what can you do, ya know?

What, if any, power sets would you say are your favorite?

I use to say all the time blasters suck and I never be caught dead playing them. But after lady I became addicted to ice powers. I made an ice/ice blaster and I love the set.

What ATs or power sets do you hate and why?

Invulnerability/Super Strength. It’s not that I loathe the set it’s just a rather boring set to play.

What is your favorite zone in the game and why?

Brickstown or Crey’s Folly. Brickstown just seems to have a life of its own apart from the other zones as Crey’s Folly. I can spend hours in either zone street hunting and I never get bored.

Any particular story arcs or contacts that you love to do? Even when you have done them a million times already?

I really enjoyed “The Terra Conspiracy” arch from Ginger Yates in Founder Falls. I make sure that with every character I have to do that arch.

What is your favorite feature of the game?

Badges!

What was the most amazing moment you had while playing the game?

I was playing my Illu/Emp and my friend was playing there Rad defender. Well it was late and no one was on to help us out and I had of course gotten the mission to defeat Terra the AV. In any case it took us a long time to bring her down but we felt really good when we accomplished that. Granted Terra is not the most powerful Av in the game but putting her up against a Defender and Controller NOW that’s saying some thing.

What is your favorite enemy group?

Crey.

What is your least favorite enemy group?

Malta and Knives, damn sappers, damn caltrops.

What is one feature you would like to see added to the game?

Loot the dead bodies =D.

What would you say is your greatest strength in the game?

I remember your "Where's Dee" contest you had. What was the reason you did it and do you have anything else planned to do?

The reason I did it is because I’m nuts. It just popped in my head one day and I figured I give it a go. I hope to in the future to shave Lemur Lad and have folks tar and feather him as fast as possible with in a time limit. If they win they get my respect and if they lose they get a pair of undies made completely from Lemur’s shaved fur.

How bad is your badge lust?

My lust lies in other things, thank you very much!

Which ones do you like to get the most?

Does not matter, I need to have close to all of them for all my characters.

What one lesson would you learned in game that would be helpful to share with everyone else?

To have fun and not take the game so seriously. Sure, I’ve gotten frustrated with a few things here or there but there are some that take to the extremes. I see people complain about the same things weeks or even months later.

Any final things you would like to say to everyone before we go?
