Quote:Great idea, in theory. In practice:Send a direct PM to Synapse. If you're waiting for someone to sift through emails that went to developers that are no longer employed, you're gonna wait a while.
Castle didn't really deal with IO sets as much as the powers themselves anyway.
'Synapse has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.' -
So I've re-opened this case, again, with support, who again, has advised me to post here. I've yet to see any response to this thread from any of the dev/community team. I was hoping maybe with recent staff changes, there might be some motion, but hope's a funny thing sometimes.

I don't really consider myself anthropomorphic. And I really.. really.. do not want to respec my full set of Apocalypse out of Lightning Storm. The damage and accuracy of it are excellent. It makes a good power a great power. Except for that 'I might kill you' aspect I've been complaining about.

Try not to stare at the bunny suit. -

Quote:Castle got his *third* reminder of it this morning.have you tried PMing a dev directly? this issue is prolly something that castle should look at, so i would suggest to try PMing him directly and he might be able to answer for you, just describe the full details of the bug
PMing a dev directly is prolly the only way that you will get the bug noticed -
And what I expect will be support's final answer on the issue: "You say that you have communicated your concerns about this bug directly with the Developers on the forums. This is as much as we are able to do as well."
Much ado about nada, I guess. Hell, I don't even play this game for the content anymore, I play because of the people in my SG. New content is a bonus. But there sits my favorite toon, just waiting for the right confluence of situations to kill me with my own tier 9. -
So for breakfast today, I'm going to have a nice warm bowl of oatmeal, with cinnamon and brown sugar sprinkled on top. This is important, because warm oatmeal is very calming, and since I just got done telling support (in more words than this) that relying on the end user to communicate bug reports directly to developers, with any expectation of a fix, defeats the entire purpose of even having /bug as an option.

Quote:Not that shocking, they've been advising that for a while now. I think they got some new scripts.
It IS ironic that they keep telling people to post here since if you look at the heading of this forum section you see the following:
It makes me want the t-shirt Black Pebble was wearing this past weekend even more.
/facepalm
Yeah, I quoted that in my last response to them, and then requested escalation of the issue. I'm posting here just to be cooperative, but it's frustrating. My Storm Defender is my favorite toon to play, I've thousands of hours on him, and this stupid bug persisting, with nothing but repetitive platitudes from support that it'll be fixed.. bad support. -
Quote:Ok, I don't forum surf, as a habit, but this LOOKS like the Dev's section. Can you be more specific about which forum you're talking about? I pull up the list of forums, I see Development, this isn't where I should be? I can't post in the Dev's Corner, if that's what you're referring to.Your unlikely to get a view from any rednames in here because this section is just for players helping players. Putting it in the Dev's section would bring it to the forfront quicker.
This whole process is getting frustrating. I type /bug, report my issue, support says post in the forums. I come to the forums, see 'Development / Technical Issues and Bugs', draw upon my fine command of the English language, and identify this as the most blatantly obvious place to post about my issue. Seriously, please, drop a link to the exact forum you're talking about, because this is about to make me crazy, and I'm gonna take it out on support. -
I'm not the brightest of people most days, but you're telling me that 'Development / Technical Issues & Bugs' isn't the place for this? I don't see another section that makes more sense for this. Of course, I think sending it via /bug is the way to go, but support disagrees with me.
-
I re-opened my ticket with support, for the fourth or fifth time. I've been very polite in dealing with them, because I know it's not their fault. I delivered the issue to Castle directly at one point, who assured me he'd give it to Synapse directly. I'm reposting here *at support's direction*, because sending it via /bug is apparently not the most effective course of action, according to support.
It's been two years. Please fix this.
If you're support inclined, this is I#101109-000183. -
Quote:We said lvl 1 last year, but people can't resist fighting stuff. At that level, someone could breath on you and you'll level, so we threw it out the window after a few minutes deliberation. The only leftover rule was no travel powers, which now includes ninja run. When I ran this earlier this year, all I saw for rules was that the runners could not be over lvl 1.
I don't remember a costume contest either, or is it something new added to the event?
The rules:
You can be no higher than level 5. (No travel powers, veteran, pool, or otherwise.)
You must be in some type of bunny outfit (ears and tails mandatory!)
You must have fun. -
Has it really been six years? Yes, it really has. We're still going strong, as Junkie as ever! Building on the hilarity of last year's inaugural bunny run, we invite you to join us for the next one!
The event:
We start rallying at the Yellow Line train station in Steel at 9:30pm. All participants must register with.. whichever Debt Junkie draws the short straw to handle registration. (Keep an eye on broadcast, or find the giant pink bunny.)
The run starts at 10pm sharp! A horde of running, hopping, fragile bunnies.. right up the middle of Steel Canyon. Survivors.. erm, I mean, runners will participate in the Bunny themed costume contest at the Green Line train station, with prizes including gobs of influence and rare enhancements! Half of our SG are writers, so pay attention to detail! Bios will count, and entertainment value wins!
The rules:
You can be no higher than level 5. (No travel powers, veteran, pool, or otherwise.)
You must be in some type of bunny outfit (ears and tails mandatory!)
You must have fun.
See you there!

Hi, I'm billn, and I'm a stormaholic.
Anyway, how does Repel translate to PVP? As an auto-hit, Is it a suitable counter for stalkers? With six-slotted Kinetic Crash or similiar, what are cases where Repel won't put an opponent on their back? I know what my usual Hurricane does and doesn't effect, but we're talking about a much higher magnitude here. -
Much like many other super groups, we're celebrating our fifth anniversary this week, five years of awesome fun with great people. Many of you have teamed with us over the years, for better or worse, and it's with those kind of shenanigans in mind that I cordially invite you all to participate in the inaugural Steel Canyon Bunny Run!
The bunny run is one part culture, one part costume contest, and all parts hilarity. To enter, you must be no higher than level 5. You must be wearing some type of bunny outfit.
Once we've achieved a sizable mass, you and all other participants will start at the Yellow Line in Steel, proceed west to the second set of stairs, head down, and en masse, proceed north up the center line of Steel Canyon. Someone will be standing by at the hospital to TP you back to the start.
Hopping is most definitely encouraged.
Participants will register with myself or another Debt Junkie at the Yellow Line, and those who are clever enough to make it in one piece will be awarded a million influence out of my own pocket at the other end, until I run out or people become *******. At which point, I'll just hurricane mobs at your lowbies.
One per global/player, please. Multi-boxers will be mocked on sight. Please, no teleporting.
Costume contest will be held at the Green Line train station after the run, with a piece of the Javelin PVP set and 4 Hamidon enhancements for prizes, plus cash prizes if I have any left!
- Staging/gathering for the event will start at 6pm EST, Saturday, August 22nd at the Yellow Line in Steel.
- The Bunny Run will start at 7pm EST.
- Costume contest will start at 7:30 PM EST, at the Green Line train station in Steel.
I intend to record as much of the event as possible, videos of the (hopefully) massive bunny herd to be posted later. -

It's not uncommon for bugs, especially ones that aren't game breaking and don't have a large impact on players, to take years to fix.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not uncommon, but still kind of sad.

Especially if all we're talking about is twiddling a bit on an enhancement. -

This is not a bug with Lightning Storm; the ability for the damage procs (as well as mezzing and debuffing procs) to affect the caster when slotted in a 'summon' is caused by a missing flag on the procs themselves.
Last time I checked, the Apocalypse proc was the only one still missing that flag, I think.
A patch note saying it was fixed was in one of the Issue 15 patches. Whether or not it was though, I don't know.
[/ QUOTE ]
It was fixed in Bonfire or Burn, I believe, which is why I re-filed my bug report for Lightning Storm, citing that fix as related. -
I opened this bug *nine months* ago, and reopened it again when it wasn't in the laundry list of fixes for I15.

Speaking as probably the single most prolific/notorious storm defender on Liberty: I don't think it's a dying breed, it's always been an exceedingly rare breed. The learning and power curve on the storm primary is long, and most people don't stick with it long enough to grok the nuance and tactical control that storm provides.
Too many players think hurricane is force bubble, and once they realize it isn't, they delete the toon, usually long before it begins to perk up.
