Firstly I would like to say I am very happy for all the help everyone has offered, this will be a whole new light for me tanking now knowing all this.
Shannon, unfortunitly I do not play on EU, i play on Triumph. But to offer that is very kind of you i appreciate that. I do indeed want to try and fit in Whirling Hands, I might ditch either FA or Stun, although stun has become a big thing for me on the bosses with Total Focus.
Sarrate, this has really helped my thinking, and I really believe it can make a difference. I agree whole heartedly on True Grit being more effective with heal instead of resist, I did not honestly realize just how vital my hp is to help the regen. Also, I will take your advice and swap the recharge reduction in for another dmg, so they will go down with less attks even if the attacks are slower.
Again, this has all really helped me to get excited about playing my tank again, I realized i have to play to the characters strongpoints, which is a hybrid of a Regen build so it seems.

Preseance huh? would that be for the AoE fear and single hit one? Also, I may have to put some health enhancements into True Grit then to boost my hp if it makes a difference

I will post the build in this msg, and I apologize for not doing so in the first place, I was looking into mids at the time deciding to respec or not (which I will not do until after Ive seen what you guys think should be tweaked) So I will do that in order to clarify things up a bit.
For your questions on what my difficulty with the mobs are, they are so:
For CoT - The mass Acc debuffs are really killing me, from the togle debuff the bone dragon puts up, to all the Negative dmg hits with built in -acc. Now I think my main problem was I do not carry purples, which will change now. I always carry greens but with what you said it makes me think I wouldnt need those greens if I werent getting hit in the first place, and maybe the -Acc wont become a problem if they arent stacking the attks on me like crazy ( will also get Focused Accuracy at 47 just incase it is still a problem)
Arachnos - That very mention you gave, the debuffs kill me, and as does the psionic when it starts piling up on me.
Carnies - When I defeat them they explode and destroy my endurance, and with the heavy endurance drain of all my togles, and the high endurance cost of Energy Melee's attacks it can cripple me if it catches me off guard. Ofcourse, the psionic of the mobs you mentioned are a problem as well.
This build I am posting now is what I am currently going to respec into, my current build as I look at it is very flawed and even without advice I will get rid of it, I do not know what I was thinking.
I will indeed be carrying a crapola of Purples for now on unless I am tanking an ITF as you pointed out since it is all s/l dmg minus the Crystal mission.

Hey all, I am currently at lvl 45 and am seeming to have difficulty on teams when dealing with Carnies, CoT, and even Arachnos depending on the mobs. It gets bad to where I am dropping like a ton of bricks and the teams are suffering and I feel like a burdeon. Is there anything I can do in order to be able to stand up to these mobs better? I have all my defense powers except Fast healing and the self rez, and also have Tough and Weave.
I dont have the best funds in the world, maybe 150 mil between all my heroes on that server, and I am currently using the basic IOs right now, no IO sets. If there is some kind of IO setup that can really help on these weaknesses I might be dedicating my time to IO this guy out. But basically I dont want to go and spend a ton of influence and still be a weak tanker defensively.
So any tips for me to help me be able to do my thing in tanking and not go down alot?

I can respect that Local, and from someone who plays alot of trollers it seems I wouldnt dispute it. For me mainly it was just mainly playing 2 powers I had wanted to be playing, even if they do not mix well together. I tend to stay away from Radiation, just my preferance because I believe it is broken, so that along with Fire/Kin among other things I shy away from. I dont mean in any way to offend anyone that being said, playing what you like is all that matters. For me, playing less played builds is my enjoyment. But I will indeed check it out none the less for the Illusion part of the guide.
Uun I dont disagree it can work without KB supression, it was just something I would like to have when using Tornado personally. Any build under the right player can be something of beauty, and I have seen some pretty mean storm builds indeed. -
Yea I used to play a Storm/Archery Fender and thats what I used tornado for, and its quite effective indeed, but for this build i reall wanted to use tornado to soak up that dmg. So since that was not possible I decided to go with ill/FF so in the 40s I can softcap peoples defense, and because I never played an Illusion and I heard it was fun.

For that i can understand, but if i want to throw down a Tornado i dont want the mobs to be tossed like ragdolls, it would better were they to just take the dmg and not tossed. For me personally, I play my Earth controller and hate the AoE immobolizes because it messes up my earthquake, but for once, i actually want them to not resist KB heh.
Amy, I am just curious, I was thinking of Grav/Storm, and you say it can work. Could I get it to work with using Tornado or would I have to toss that idea out the window?

it seems your correct according to mids, which is a bummer because that has a long recharge, I was hoping for the short recharge immobolize to do so like the other sets. Oh well. thanks for clarifying it for me.

i noticed on Mids that the info on Crushing Field (Gravities AoE immobolize) does not state anything about Knockback/Knockup suppression, where as the other sets with AoE immobolize do.
So my question is: if I were to say cast Crushing Field and then somebody tossed an AoE Knockback move would that scatter them all over? Or is it just a typo?

Hello, I have been working on a build on Mids, and i cant seem to get totally softcapped on defense, as it is, I can get Melee and Ranged softcapped, but AoE sits at around 38%.
Would it hurt me that much if i werent softcapped on AoE and just nearly? Also, I am trying to keep the build semi cost efficiant, so I am avoiding purples and LoTG +recharge. If you have any alternatives I am all ears. I just ask you keep most of the powers the same. Elude, Medicine, and my travel power I am willing to part with if anyone can manage to softcap all 3 with others. Thanks alot for any assistance.
