  1. I've been playing on Liberty for the past 3 or so years and I've made a bunch of friends there, but if there really are a large amount of fellow Aussies on Justice, I wouldn't mind rolling a few toons on there

Also, is there some kinda global channel I could join for Aussies/Other Southern Hemisphereians?

    Cheers in advance
  2. I have enabled the setting in game, but I can't figure out where the actual files are saved too.

    Thanks
  3. Awww shucks, that kinda bites

Ah well, any word on when the store comes back online? I really wanna play around with that beast run power
  4. Wow, so it seems like a LOT has changed since last time I played.
I heard from a friend that they've retired all the booster packs and such and they're coming back through something called Paragon Market. Now I've read and googled some, but I can't seem to find where the thing is! Is it only available to the test servers or something? I'd really love to be able to buy some of the cool booster packs.

    Cheers!
  5. Hey all,
I've combed the forums and tried looking for a solution to my problem but to no avail.
Since the last update my updater on my PC (Windows XP) has been frozen on the "Downloading File Manifest" screen. I've left it on over night and checked it in the morning and it says the same thing.
I tried installing it on my Mac and I still get frozen on the Downloading File Manifest screen.

    Any help?

My friend and I are both located in Australia, this never used to happen.
It only started about a month ago though.

    Client Issue

I'm currently downloading the patch, (and have been for sometime), but its downloading at a crappy 1.3kbps ... and thats if I'm lucky. Most of the times its gone down to a wonderous 0.8kbps and stayed like that for 3 hours.
Usually when I'm downloading patches I get them at around 100-200kbps and I'm fine with that, but this is ridiculous.
I've called up my ISP and confirmed that it isn't my connection and I've called up a friend that also plays and he told me that he's getting the same problem.

So does anyone out there have any insight onto whats going on here? It would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Hey guys, my close friend is reinstalling the client after a 4 month break from the game.

He is having loads of issues with the updater however, and has even gone to lengths as of reformatting his HDD.

There are a few separate (and seem to be random) issues.

Issue 1: Checking Launcher - Just sits like this for hours without any change.

Issue 2: Downloading File Manifest - Exactly like above... though this only happens when he replaces his old folder into the new directory.

Issue 3: Checksum - This however Checksums, then tries to get the file manifest.

Issue 4: He actually gets past this with incredible luck, only to be greeted with 4kb/s downloads and then slowing down to ~500 B/s.

He is on a very fast connection, and was running his router through DMZ, so there should be no port issues.

I will post his HiJack this and CoH Helper below.

    WoW vs CoX RP

    Part Two

The Earth itself began convulsing violently.

The fear in the eyes of the WoW'ers was blindingly obvious, for they had not expected this. Nor had the Heroes of Paragon City.

Beyond the far hill, the sound of heavy footsteps, crumbling rocks, crackling electricity and blazing infernos were almost deafening.

The Tauren Chief's face had just dropped, for beyond the hill came marching, The vile, wicked populace of the Rogue Isles had come to put aside their differences with the citizens of Paragon City and join forces against a larger threat, the Mystical intruders from Azeroth and Draenor.

Brutes activated their armors, Stalkers went into hiding, Mastermind's summoned their minions, Corruptors began their heals and buffs and the Dominators stood eagerly at the ready.

Suddenly, it seemed like there was a mighty tear in the sky as it seemed to rain with Peacebringers and Warshades. Within a matter of seconds, the Heroes had just gained over 15,000 allies, now bolstering their ranks to 20,000.

After experiencing such a thing, the Tauren had become a bit shaken at then sudden increase of numbers, but shortly had recompiled himself. "HA! FOOLISH IDIOTS! YOUR IMPECIBLE TIMING AND FANCY ENTRANCES STILL DON'T COMPARE TO THE SHEER MASS OF OUR ARMY!" He grunted to the combined forces of Heroes, Villains and Kheldians.

Back on the South hill, a Kheldian Peacebringer said, "He speaks the truth, although we may look threatening, their army easily out numbers our own. This will not be an easy battle..." The Peacebringer began hovering down the line, passing all the Heroes and Villains that stood there, "We have all come for a reason, today, let everyone here know, that the joint forces of Heroes, Villains and Kheldians stood strong right here, and took the mighty force of Azeroth head on! For we have ...""
"Blah blah blah," Said a Scrapper, cutting the Peacebringer off during his encouragement speech.
"Lets make this short and sweet." The Scrapper continued. "SIX SECOND RULE!!!!"
The Peacebringer and all the defenders let out one monotonus sigh, "Damn* scrappers."

With such simple words the assualt had begun.

(( Note: The * is where the obvious "F" word would be inserted ))

    WoW vs CoX RP

    Part One

The valley was silent, almost too silent.

Towards the North, formed the devastating armies that hailed from the mythical lands of Azeroth and the desolate planet that is the Draenor. Thousands upon thousands of its inhabitants, swarmed across the soft horizon, a thick band of black and brown painting a bar between where the lush green grass meets the perfect sky. Inumerable amounts of Druids readying themselves into their different forms, Hunters setting traps, Mages concentrating on their spells, Paladins giving words of advice to others, Priests praying for victory, Rogues contemplating the battle to come, Shamen picking up their weapons or spell books, Warlocks summoning their dastardly minions and Warriors making the earth it self buckle beneath their sheer power.

To the South, scattered, the denizens of Paragon City. Unlike those from the mystic realm of Azeroth and Draenor, they were not fresh, nor were they rested. They had only just previously pushed back the Rikti forces from invading. Some Resting, others returning from the Hospital and the very few who were left standing, unscathed.

There was a whisper somewhere amongst the endless waves of the joint forces of Horde and Allaince. An Undead Rogue smirks, "Heh, looks like its easy pickings today." His friends around him chuckling and nodding in agreence. As they laughed at the few 5,000 that stood before their monsturous army of 40,000 there was not a sound except the battlefield falling quiet, just as the cocky Rogue's severed head hit the floor.

There was a moment of silence.

All of a sudden calls of "Traitor!" rang thoughout the hundreds of ranks that stood, now out of formation to escape form the one soldier who held a bloodied sword. "What just happened!? Why's everyone running?!?!" He cried.

Back on the Southern hill behind a rocky formation knelt a trio of Controllers, snickering to each other. "I told you confusion can work from here." One of the Controllers said.

"SILENCE!" Boomed a large Minotaur, "It was a cheap shot, directed by those cowards!" The gigantic Tauren rocked the earth with one mighty collision of his foot, which sent a shockwave tearing at the earth itself, causing a gaping crevasse, straight down the battlefield, devouring the rocky formation and swallowing the trio of Controllers whole. "What a pitiful attempt at trying to stop what is inevitable." He grunted to his many minions, falling back into rank. "YOU HAVE BEGUN WHAT WILL ONLY BE KNOWN AS YOUR DOMINATION!" Roared the mighty beast as he raised his gargantuan weapon above his head.

"CHARRRGGGEE!!!" He bellowed as the earth shook. There was an uproar amidst the Horde and Alliance. But it suddenly was cut short.

Another body, lifeless on the ground.

The Cheif, now furious with the antics of the few Heroes turned to his men, but was suddenly struck with the realisation. "This can't be! If they used our own men to defeat us then why don't any of my men have blood on their swords like the one before!?!"

Suddenly, a figure appeared right before of the Beast.

    A Stalker.

She smiled sweetly at the Minotaur, "We're saving you for last." She said as she winked at him. The Cheif raised his polearm in a rage to strike the Stalker, but by the time his weapon was raised there was a flash of light and she was gone.

His Fury quickly turned to shock as he thought at what she had just said. "We're saving you for last." What did she mean by We?

The Tauren chief spun around to see all of the leaders sprawled upon the grass, a crimson river now weaving its way between the hundreds of corpses that littered the field.

At this point figures were materializing over the dead bodies of the leaders. One by one, each Stalker laughing maniaclly as they all somehow disappeared in one choreographed movement.

As the Cheif stood their shocked, there was a low rumble in the earth, as if the earth it self was gently rocking. It was getting heavier now, the rumbling becoming louder. An earthquake? No it couldn't be.

A Hunter streched out his arm for his bird to land on. The Hunter lent in to hear what the bird had said. All eyes were on him.

    "Oh, raspberries..." He sighed.

    WoW vs CoX RP

So I was in the "What would happen if..." thread and I saw there was a couple of RP's that happened because of the whole shindig.

So I decided to make a new thread just for those little RP snippets so we wouldn't be bothered by the other posts about who would be stronger and who would nerf what and what scrappers would do after we're done.

So here it is! A new thread for it!
