No, Cryo Freeze Ray is an Ancillary Power for Blasters, which is a Mag 2 Hold.

I don't mind it being brought back from the dead, I started the thread after all.

YARR!!!ed for Truthfulness. -
I don't think Corruptors count as 'dedicated' healers, like with say the /Empathy powerset on CoH. Their main functions are to attack, and to buff.
The healing is just a minor addendum to their abilities, and should not be relied upon as a primary function. If your team-mates constantly need healing, then there's somebody doing something wrong in the team. -
Despite the odd faceplant last night, and low-ish turnout, it was still enjoyable.
As a forewarning, two week's time, on the 6th July, it will be my 19th birthday, so I'll probably be out for a meal that evening.
I'm sure's you's can's cope without's lots of esses in your's chat's-box's for one's night. -

(Though saying this, I've just got back from a game where I'm playing a Ex-policeman turned binman whose had a psychotic episode and is trying to escape from his ex whilst being helped by five fragments of his psyche.)

Question.
Is there villain RP too? Somehow my witty, rude Unbreakable Object doesn't really fit in with the heroes.

Nah, It's nice to have some nicely down conflict at GG. Add's flavour.

I call that approval for Max to be a jerk for the next 20 years. -
Powers
Max is very much on the 'flawed' side. Powers-wise, he's just a guy, no fancy powers, he happens to be able to use a gun to good effect.
He used to have the Masquerade department behind him, but even then, I placed IC limitations on what he could do, after almost doing really-bad-godmodding in the Catch Saga (Ravenswing will know what I'm on about)
Nowadays, after leaving the Department, he just has himself and some of the gadgets left over he 'forgot' to hand back.
Personality
Oh-so-flawed. He's arrogant, self-centered, and disrespectful of pretty much everyone else's feelings. And smokes like a chimney, only stopping for when Nyu was pregnant.
His main flaw in being a jerk, is that everyone seems to like him. -
21/6/06 - Peregrine Island - Approx. 8pm
"On second thoughts, I can't be bothered hanging around with Spandex-Brigaders for tonight"
With that, Max turned and walked away from the group Lyn-Legend had assembled, and towards the exit of Portal Corp.
Without hesitating, he tapped the top of his watch, activating his Cloaking Device as he walked into the distance, then stopped. Turning arround slowly so not as to refract the light, he watched the group rush inside to their mission.
Max lit up a cigarette, and waited. After a few minutes had passed, he flicked away the cigarette, and headed towards the door the Spandex-Brigaders had gone through. Taking out a tablet PC, he monitored for residual energy-signatures, checking for the most recently opened portal.
Following the 'trail' left by the others, Max arrived at the portal, and stepped through.
The world he emerged into was a war-torn one, littered with rubble and spent military supplies. Checking quickly for any sign of the others, he removed a small round metal disc from a pocket, and placed it near the rift-opening.
Taking one last glance at the Council-occupied world, Max stepped back through the rift. -
Max loves himself, does that count?
*gets a clip round the ear*
and Sam too. -
At the moment, I see the different permissions as useful, as some people will want to do things like, say today's running topic, base-editing, others will not, and be happy without the permission to do so.
I'm reluctant about the idea of giving all members all permissions, just in case in the future we pick up anyone who ends up being trouble, and has the permissions to change things in a not-very-helpful way.
Just my two inf, but we'll see how everybody feels about it.
EDIT: Seeing as we have a spiffy new base, shall we use it for tonight's meet-up? -
Apologies for the double-post, but felt this might get lost if people had already read the previous post:
The SG Base is ready for RP use, just-abouts, I'm open to ideas for decor and things that people want to be in there.
It has *no* actual function at the moment, as and when it does gain game-affecting abilities, I'll let you know. -
Level cap for this week was 16. I'm at 13 at the moment with Hawkshaw.
As for teams tonight, I'll see if for this week, I'll try and organise them if Battleflag won't be there, and get an even spread of the levels between the teams, so that lower players can get a Sidekick.
Seeing as there is a sort-of base, do people want to meet in there, or meet in the usual place? I'd say get there for 7.00pm, and depart for misisons at 7.30.
Anyone who's late can obviously be added to a team as and when they arrive. -
Well, I'm happy with Force Commander as an IC leader.
Is everybody still happy with me in charge of base-maintenance? (I know there isn't a base to maintain at the moment, but we're slowly but surely getting there)
-
Shame to see you go Battleflag, and don't worry, we'll all make sure The Militia's still here when you come back.
This now brings up one point, who's going to be the main 'organiser' from here on? Also, I'll probably promote another person up to Leader status in the SG, for Base things etc. (once we have the prestige) -
Hey I've always been a 'lone' guy. The only time there was more than one person in my SG was when Volt joined for a month or so, before he got fired.
-
Realised I hadn't put my two inf in:
I've always played Male characters when given the choice in games, and in a roleplay setting, I'll play Male characters. It's nothing sexist, I just feel weird about the thought of playing a woman, and probably wouldn't get it 'right' anyways.
So I leave it to the people who can. -
I'm last now Wonka.
Yeah I'm late in the welcome, but hey, save the best until last I guess.
Welcome!
(Word of advice, if Max is there, he's not the *best* person to have your first conversation with)

Hate to burst the bubble, but GM's sometimes spawn multiple times when people don't defeat them for a while.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well Ive only seen Paladin and Luska as multiples, do others do this?
[/ QUOTE ]
Apparently so, I've seen two Krakens and two Jurassiks(sp?) before, as well as those two, so using that empirical evidence, I guessed it must apply for all GM's.
I may very well be wrong though, but we at least know it applies to Paladin -
Hate to burst the bubble, but GM's sometimes spawn multiple times when people don't defeat them for a while.
Well done for taking all three of them down though. -
Could be a tongue-in-cheek reference to the way lots of players *do* see influence as money? Breaking the fourth wall and what-not.

18/06/06 - 11.10pm - Max's Office
-beep-
Max started to peruse through a small assortment of case-files on his desk as the computer booted up. It was getting late, and he'd promised Sam he'd be round her place soon, but this, this was more important tonight.
The monitor screen flickered, and flashed onto the OS screen. Max pulled a Tablet PC from his jacket pocket, switched it on, and activated the bluetooth data-link.
The main computer picked up the connection instantly, and started to transfer the data that had been gathered that evening, from the scanners he had placed in the Hydra dimension, whilst the Spandex-Brigaders had been leaving.
An array of graphs and analysis charts popped up on screen, showing all manner of technical readings from the dimensional rift, up until its point of closure by Doctor Temporis.
Max peered at the readings, and a smile crept slowly across his face.
